I fucking hate talking to my girlfriend over the phone. Don't get me wrong, we have a great relationship and love spending time with each other--but for some fucking reason I get irrationally pissed off when she calls me--especially if I'm in the middle of doing something. Like...I want to jump out the nearest window pissed. I actually like having conversations with people over the phone, but it's the meaningless empty conversations that get to me. Those "before work-after work", "what are you doing right now?" type of calls. It feels like I have to drop everything I'm doing and listen to something that honestly has no value of me because I hear it every day--and every day I give the same responses. After the phone call I feel like I just wasted my time and I'm too pissed off to focus on what I was doing prior to the call. Am I just being an asshole? I would understand it if I just get bored, but lately it sets off my anger off the fucking charts. Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't like most beers either. Cider is my on-tap go to. Scotch and coke if not. If you can afford a few, Vodka and Red Bull is nice to nurse because you get a bit charged and only a little drunk.

What do you mean by general education, did you just finish undergrad? Also national guard isn't a bad idea but don't let that get in the way of your studies.
The most significant advice I can give is to just keep running, most people drop out on their own because they are better at making excuses than getting shit done. You don't have to be the fastest, you just have to keep running.
Is there a cure for being a manlet? I feel so fucked because I'm only 5'5. This shit wrecks me, man. Are there any shoes out there that can give me a natural raise? I don't want to buy any height increasing bullshit.

Is the whole "girls love dad bods" thing bullshit?
I have a bearish/dad bod type of build. Always have. Not a chubby build that most fat people say they have, but the build of someone who works out but focuses on mass more than cutting.
I still get rejected.....a lot. Girls dont flirt with me or barely pay me any mind. And i have never had a gf.
Is the "dad bod" craze bullshit?

Im going to college soon and i want to ask how are engineering majors and comp science majors? Im interested im computers and building things. Hey /adv/
I've been dating this girl now for close to five years. She is the one I lost my virginity to, its a long distance one too.
Anyway, we were spilling our guts about things we've done bad and I admitted that when we were 20 (24 now) I cheated on her and when we took a year "break" I had sex with another chick again.
She is mad, understandably so, and wants me to apologize. I don't want to. I regret nothing. Yes it was a mistake but I don't feel that at that point in our relationship it was not truly long term or really serious at that time.
Am I being bull headed or is she?

How long does it take to be able to love someone? Like how well should you know them or how often should you see each other before you can definitively say you love someone?
I've been dating someone for about 2 weeks and only known him for 6 but he told me recently he loves me and I'm not sure how to feel about it. On the one hand I have always thought love takes a lot longer to develop than that, and I didn't tell my first boyfriend I loved him until about 6 months into our relationship. That was different though because it was long distance so I feel like love would have taken longer to develop. I think I'm really out of my depth because this is the first 'proper' boyfriend I've had I guess.
What do you guys think? How long would you wait before telling someone you love them?

We work together for research. When we start she always slams her books and does funny shit, till I talk to her or look in her direction and laugh. I am a total autistic and she is a shy girl for sure, so we have small talk and laugh about it.
She says goodbye to me sometimes but other times she just runs off. What gets me is that in class she used to sit to my far left, and would constantly look at me. Then she left that seat and now sits right in front of me.
She glimpses back at me and then looks away if I look at her. But, she gives these long yearning stares to her own far left once in a while where i can see her eyes etc, it's to a girl on her left or guy idk.
Thing is, she does not acknowledge i exist outside of class. If I see her in hallway she is always looking past me or around me. If I stand near her she puts her back to me so I can't engage with her. I don't get this hot and cold behavior. But at the same time I am too shy to start a convo with her. Thing is I do look at her though and she does not look at me at all in. Think she considers me a creep or annoying? and just is nice during research because "that's what a nice person does".

I find myself spending a lot of time either on 4chan or thinking about ways to reach out to people I used to know, mostly distant acquaintances and failed relationships. I spend most of my free time doing this, although I do occupy myself with hobbies when I can get the motivation.
I'm trying to be a person of more merit, but it's going to be a long time because I am very poor and not allowed to take a loan towards school for three years. How can I end the loneliness without reeking of desperation and accepting mistreatment? I just want someone to share the media, art, food, and places I enjoy. I wonder why that is so difficult to find.

Looking for some advice on whether or not joining the military is best for me. Currently 20 years old, have a decent job as a computer tech for my county's school board, comes with full benefits and pay is at $15.50/hr. Promotions are realistic though they only appear when others retire/leave. Been working for about a year in IT. I want to pursue a career in IT, and I feel the military would offer me some great experience and training. I also want to become more independent, and start living life more as my own man as unfortunately I still live with my parents. Though going active would require me to leave my current job for as long as my contract lasts at the least, in which it is possible when I return I would have a different position in my company. Curious as to what you guys think would be the best choice.
