What do you mean by general education, did you just finish undergrad? Also national guard isn't a bad idea but don't let that get in the way of your studies.
The most significant advice I can give is to just keep running, most people drop out on their own because they are better at making excuses than getting shit done. You don't have to be the fastest, you just have to keep running.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, by general ed i mean the general classes community college made me take. Im now doing my pre-major courses in order to transfer to UCSD. My major is microbiology.
