The alarm in my place looks exactly like that. Mine turns off by pressing the button on the right when it's beeping.

Depends on where you live. Most states have building regulations where the smoke detectors are hard-wired into your house, so there's no easy way to shut them off, and if one goes off they all go off. My friend has that and it's hilarious. Otherwise just rip it from the ceiling and pull the battery out.

Make sure you do it in an environment you know and feel comfortable in. Personally when I'm tripping I get super interested in everything and I want to do a ton of different shit so it's nice if you pick a place where you can do all sorts of things and discover everything. E.g. my tripping spot has a ping pong table, a tv, a garden where it's nice and quiet, etc... Don't lock yourself up in one dark room because things < could > get bad. Prepare a ton of shit beforehand, like picking a movie to watch or whatever.

Also, your sense of time will be zero. You'll be talking and doing shit and thinking half an hour's passed when in reality it's only been a minute or so.

Oh yeah, one more thing. No matter how weird things may seem, don't freak out. You have to surrender yourself to the trip and don't try to fight for control over your senses or thoughts because you will lose that fight and spiral down into what might be a bad trip. So you need to be relaxed, mentally healthy and above all prepared for what will happen. Read up on wikipedia and the likes for the kind of effect you're going to get so you won't be taken off-guard.

Above all, have fun. It's a tremendous experience that you will remember for the rest of your life.

Go to bed, set your alarm for around 11-11:30, and make sure you get up when it goes off. You will feel like shit, but that's the intention. You need to fix unhealthy sleeping patterns, and doing the 'stay up all the following day' method does not help you in the long run. It just means the next time you stay up late, you'll console yourself by thinking, 'hey, I can just stay up all of tomorrow again!' You'll develop unhealthy habits and attitudes toward sleep. The only way to prevent this is to set your alarm early now, go to sleep, feel like shit later and remember that feeling next time. Also it's like that if you try to stay up all of tomorrow, you'll just give up around 12 or 4-5 and fuck yourself up more. It's best to go to sleep now.

Probably a decent amount. I once snorted two or three percs, drank six shots of whiskey and had six beers. I was severely fucked up, but not even close to dying. At that point, I started to lose feeling in my limbs slightly and I could see trails every time I looked around. For the record, I wasn't trying to kill myself.

If you really wanted to kill yourself, I'd say take like 10+ pills and drink as much liquor as possible before your body starts trying to vomit up all of the opiates you just consumed. You will likely black out and choke on your own vomit.
