Life was basically on easy mode for me right up until I got to college and now I have a crippling anxiety-based aversion to work. I wasn't rich or anything, just smart enough that I could pay no attention during Calculus and still scrape a B, and my parents didn't push me to do any real work outside of school. I left my last job three months ago and now have no money. The fear of ending up on the street soon has caused me to contact a temp agency, but in the meantime I have no money. Besides selling blood, which I will do, does anyone have any advice as to how to survive the next month? Or how to get over this aversion to working? I'm twenty-six and have been able to support myself up until now, but my anxiety has gotten worse with time. I've seen three therapists and tried six prescriptions.

So I broke up with my gf of 2 years 3 weeks ago.
Last week I met a female friend that I hadn't seen for months and we hit it off pretty good again she even hugged me twice because my birthday was a month ago and she didn't congratulate me. I've already met her last semester on college and I thought she was kind of into me because she'd always look to sit beside me and and always initiated conversations with me and regularly touched my arm/shoulder (or maybe it was just wishful thinking) anyway I couldn't really be so friendly with her because my now ex was really jealous of any women.
I find her cute and she has a cute shy personality, she also has some damn taste on films and the like (which was what kind of attracted me to her at first), she's kinda short and her tits aren't big but her ass is nice.
Anyway we've been talking and I've been thinking of inviting her to the movies to watch X movie she wants to see since I got two free tickets to any movie from a family member on my birthday.
Most people say after break ups you gotta wait some time before you start dating againso I don't know if its "ethically" right to invite her or whatever. I don't know what to do. Maybe she doesn't even like me like that. What do I do?

Also, 2 years is way too long to clear out most the baggage. In guessing there's some other contributing reason that you're not dating but you don't want to admit it to yourself. You need to get through whatever it is that's actually holding you back.

How to motivate my boyfriend to try to come over his arachnophobia? I am very passionate about them, and i understand not evryone has to, but i don't think he should be afraid of them either. The only known way of overcoming it is exposure therapy(im not gonna throw spiders at him or anything), but he is not willing to try(which is understandable). How can i motivate him?

Is confidence something that can even be learned? Because I'm about to turn 30 and I feel like I'm as unconfident as ever. When I was younger I had hope that I would become more confident as I got older, but it never happened. In fact I think I've actually become LESS confident somehow. I'm even more afraid of women now, I avoid social situations more than I did when I was in college, and I feel much more hopeless that any of these things will ever change. I just have this general feeling of uselessness all the time, like I've wasted all of my opportunities in life and I have no purpose to even exist anymore.

Abdominal and core strength is a big factor. So start doing some simple exercises to work out your core muscles. I would recommend avoiding crunches/sit-ups as those really fuck with your spine. There are plenty of ab exercises that aren't sit-ups.

TLDR: Does this Craigslist odd job seem legitimate or is it a scam?
I've been trying to become a meme in China and I think I'm close to landing the job. In the meanwhile I'd like to earn extra money without being committed to a set job (since the time should be short and I don't know how much time I can commit to a minimum wage job). So I am going to try to odd jobs from Craigslist. I am not really sure what is legitimate and what is a scam. I've responded to ads for helping people move, here is one very detailed response I got. Does this look legitimate?

so /adv/ i need some advice,
Yesterday i got 4 wisdom teeth pulled and today i don't feel any pain just a little discomfort. Only thing I'm worried about is bloody snot and mucus. When i blow my left nostril normal snot comes out, but when i blow my right one whole lot of blood and snot comes out. And when I cough with mucus the mucus is all dark red/black bloody. Should I wait a day or two to see if it goes away or contact my doctor ?

The past year my life has gone down hill badly. I'm 25 jobless and have had to move back home with my Aunt because I lost my last job due to a DUI.
My girlfriend of two years has told me she wants a break after I got drunk and said some pretty stupid shit. She said this 2 weeks ago. She has made no attempt to contact me and when I contact her she replies with one word replies. Tonight I've discovered she has blocked me on face book and Instagram I tried calling her and it didn't even make a dial tone but when I private called her it rang through so I'm guessing she has also blocked my number.
I know I've got to give up alcohol it's the root cause of every single thing going wrong in my life. I have no control over how much I drink and one beer always turns into the whole box. One glass of wine turns into every last drop of alcohol in the house.
Today is the first time I have not had a drink, I feel awful I have bad anxiety the shakes and my head is going a million miles a second. Problem is I don't know if this is from what I know is now a break up and not a "break" or am I having alcohol withdrawals.
How the fuck am I meant to do this? I just want to be normal I want to be able to just have a few beers with mates or a glass of wine with dinner but is this ever possible as an alcoholic? Is anyone going through the same thing how do you cope I know I won't be sleeping and now I have the sweats. My Aunt doesn't know the full extent of the situation and I'd rather her not know. Is there any medications and if it gets to the point I need rehab how do you access that in Australia. Sorry for long rant I am just so fucking anxious scared and depressed. I feel this will be never ending.

I met two guys about a year ago. They are best friends and I'm dating one now. The more and more I get to know both, the more I realize that I like the other guy more. He's never the kind of guy to be direct about things. I just don't know what to do. I love them both but I know I belong with the other guy.
