I have a bench that can decline, flat, slight incline and incline. The slight incline is like three inches higher than the flat. What's the purpose of that?

I started lifting not to long ago and I've been making some nice progress.
Recently I helped somebody move furniture to a new apartment with no elevator.
Long story short, other person let go / or his fingers slipped and I had to stop the thing from falling.
Now my right bicep ( left too but not as bad ) seems torn, image related - me.
I'm not sure if its torn or not but then again I don't know shit about it.
How long should I wait before including biceps in my routine again?
I've only trained legs since this happened. I'm afraid training something else like shoulders might make it worse.
Is this something I should see a doctor about or will it heal as is?


TL:DR - Think I tore my bicep, what can I do about? How long do I wait?

its a bruise mate, if you tore it you would drop down in agony, screaming your lungs out, so you would know.

If your biceps is working but is slightly sore when you move or touch, its a bruise.

medical advice would be monitor it for several days- if it gets worse or you get anxious in 5-6 days then go see a doctor

Tbh it doesn't look torn. If it were torn, the bruising would be purple and there would be blood pooling under the skin across your whole bicep. Just looks like a bruise to me. Give it a week and see what's up.

After a year of consistency you will look noticeably better then you look now, but you will still objectively look shitty. Keep at it though you'll get there eventually if you stick to it. Maybe in 2-5 years based on the fact that you look like you have zero muscle mass.

okay /fit/ no ridicule. I see all the people who roid have their own threads so you must be passionate about the topic. I know nothing and am about 6 months into lifting. I have seen decent results and would say i have gone from extremely skinny to decent muscle tone and am mid bulk. I want to put on serious muscle and lean out and generally look like zyzz or jeff seid. I know this takes years but what roids would i take? tl;dr if you know anything about steroids enlighten me on what does what and what i should take

It's probably just because it's easier to progress with 2x5, 1x5+

at least I would say so, 5x5 deadlifts is very taxing if you're doing 100% of your 5rep max eac time.

I lost a lot of weight like 4 months ago (50~ pounds) and I've had a bit of fat left on me as I did no exercise whatsoever. I keep eating 800-1200 cals daily but I see no fuckin difference. Only when I do some exercises like pushups or crunches do I feel the skin starting to wrap around my body again (I know its mostly skin and a bit of fat because fat by itself wouldnt do that). I think I should start exercising. Problem is idk wtf to eat. Maintenance or deficit? What macros?

I was playing a game of rust with a few buddies and this 11 year old kid is talking mad shit, anyway he goes onto say he is gonna go to the gym in the morning. He then claimed his bench was "55lb on both sides, and the bar is 45lbs" and also claimed after that he could do 83 pushups. Thoughts

Sup /fit/, what are the absolute best things I can do for myself/my health to ensure my longevity?

I adore life and I want to live as long as possible. I've heard that genetics play the biggest role in the length of our lifespans, but regardless I want to do everything I can possibly do to help it, and hope that medical science improves enough by the time I'm 80 to where the average lifespan will be 130+.
