I've been lurking for a little here lately and I started the gym routine heavy this past Monday. Already pretty satisfied with what I've accomplished so far but still plan on going of course. But I digress. I usually walk into the store that's close to the gym I go to and get a protein shake after my workouts. Lately I've been getting some pretty unusual thoughts during and after working out that seem out of place for me. I walked in today and saw a huge woman walk in with a huge refillable cup that was for soda. It had to be at least a liter or more cup. After seeing that I just got extremely pissed for some reason. Like how could someone be so obese and continue to be that way without trying to change. I saw a woman earlier this week in a buffet line and had the same reaction. So I guess my question is, does going to the gym make you all more aggressive towards that sort of thing/red pilled? Kinda curious to see if it's just my ego or something. Pic unrelated

I usually associate 'redpill' with the mouthbreathers on /pol/ crying about jews/lizards/women controlling the media and out to get them, so no it doesn't make more more redpilled. It does make me appreciate those who put in effort into their appearance. If I see a girl with low bf% or a solid guy, I'm more aware of the conscious effort they made to get there.

/fit/ what do you guys do to motivate yourselves to eat shitty foods like sweets and fast food? I train like a sick cunt but I'm still a fat ass. Been like this since I started lifting a long time ago. I don't care so much about being aesthetic, just wanna be healthy. I had a successful cut where I was counting my calories and what not and got all the way down to 12% bf but I had way too much time on my hands back then, that was back when I was finishing college. After I got a job and I went on a vacation with my gf I gained all my weight back and then some. Everywhere I go I'm surrounded by temptation and I'm always being invited out to go eat at restaurants that mainly serve shitty food and it's hard to resist eating it. Idk how other people can eat this shit all the time and not get fat but I'm not one of them.

money. im not poor or anything but i shop on a weekly basis so i have less wasted food and dont overbuy shit and i give myself a savory snack and then a sweet desert one. savory snacks are chips and salsa or popcorn and sweets are brownie brittle and yasso yogurt bars. i never really go over 300 calories a day in snacks so that fits my diet just fine. also when you eat a snack or sugar make sure you have fruit with it always, it helps the way you process sugar. so if you want chocolate cut off 3 squares and have it with strawberries. when you go out to restaurants eat before hand and eat cheaply. a cup of soup and vegetable side is what i get, stop viewing going out to eat as getting stuffed off a giant 13 buck meal and more like a mix and match of various sides and small things like soup.

How do you find the motivation to work out every day?

I used to have these bursts of energy where I felt like I needed to work out, but then I lost it all. Now even when I try to force myself to do any sort of workout, like a push up for example, I'll do one, then I'll just give up, how can I find that huge burst of energy again?

I'd say elbows, especially if you're upping the weight and go for 8 reps instead of 12. I like to do them a bit sloppy and lift some extra weight as well. It helps destroying the fibers. but don't underestimate the power of slower negatives that come with stricter form and lower weight.

Are cheat days a meme, or is there some actual hormonal benefit to eating like a fat fuck a couple times a month?

Using cheat days as an excuse to pig out is little more than degenerate. Cheat days are for ensuring you hit appropriate macros/micros for physical/mental health. If you're on a cut you're often deficient on at least a few levels.
It's also in general good for fighting cravings and giving yourself something to look forward to.
Assume you have a deficiency of 500 calories daily and two cheat days weekly where you can eat 800 calories above the set deficiency.
2500-600=1900. Still a reasonable calorie loss per week.
