barbell squats (the ones with bar on back area) just bar weight 5x5
hip thrusts 60lbs 3x12

this was our starting weight and routine, and we're hitting the gym 6 days a week. today was rest day and the first few days before doing this we did random stuff kinda cluelessly. questions:
when should we start upping the weight?
are there other exercises we should be doing? should we be doing this all 6 days?
is it safe to lift when stoned out of your mind (vegan edibles)?
are squats supposed to make your neck and back sore? that bar is painful
do buff gym guys like flexible skinny vegan girls with penises?

Alright /fit/, I want to make my own pre-workout and I need advice. I figure I'll start with creatine and grind an appropriate amount of caffeine pills into it, but I don't really know where to go from there. What kinda stuff can I get over the counter at my local pharmacy/supermarket that I can add to my concoction? I figure cold and flu tablets with pseudoephedrine would be a good option if not for all the other painkillers contained within, and apparently NSAIDs kill your gainz so I'm at a loss. Ideas? I want a kick but I don't want to stop my heart.

Why do people recommend SS/SL for beginners?
Is it because creating a strength base is important ?
Then there are people saying after creating a strength base u should switch to hypertrophy while some people say strength training is still better for hypertrophy.

the reason people suggest SS/SL is because for beginners, lower rep training tends to yield equivalent hypertrophy to higher rep training, but you progress faster and thus gain more strength

the most important thing though is just eat a fuckload, sleep a lot, and lift consistently. Routine is secondary

I want to decrease the size of my quads while maintaining muscularity AND increase the size of my traps.


Logic tells me that for me to achieve this, I should stop squatting, and only deadlift, and replace all the times I squat, with deadlifts.

Am I wrong to think that this would work?

They're just too big. I'm short (5'7), lifting nearly 5 years now. Penis is only 5.5 inches. My quads are just too big for my height. They're extremely wide, dwarfing my waist measurement. It just look silly at this point in time. I can only squat 140kg for 10, but it's already got to that point where it's out of control for my height.

My traps are also my weakest point, which is why I assumed if I replaced all my squatting with only deadlifting, that I could maintain "muscularity" for my legs, but also decrease their size, while at the same time improving my traps.

I've been trying to go a little beyond just tracking macros and looking at hitting more micronutrients since I don't use multivitamins. I've seen a difference in my energy levels between eating a variety of foods versus just eating eggs + chicken + rice, and I think the micros may contribute.

Anyone else track micros as well as macros? I'm sure there is some secret godly meal plan that is 2500 cals with 50-30-20 split on macros and all your vitamins and minerals being hit for the ultimate healthy maintenance diet. I hope to unlock it.
