This is what I would suggest.

Make a 'pre-send checklist.' For example, it might look like:

Then, create an excel spreadsheet. Create a column for each step in the checklist. Each email is now a row. Tick off the corresponding column after you do the check. I used to have dirty blonde hair when I was a child, but then it became brown by age 3 and then dark by age 10.
