Is being a single dad a turn off to women?
>>17377820
Who gives a fuck about women . You should be thinking of your child first .
>>17377820
To women who don't want kids, yes.
More important are the circumstances of why you are a single dad. It takes two to fuck up a relationship. Even with one crazy person ruining things, it's a mark against the other person's character for fucking a crazy person. So Something is wrong with you. So what is it?
>>17377839
She died.
>>17377820
Apparently it is. And funny enough, the Internet and modern western society spergs out constantly at innocent single dudes for not dating single mothers, yet single fathers are still looked down upon.
Women are so spoiled.
>>17377850
Then it stands as is: you're desirable to single moms and/or women who enjoy kids. Any woman who does not want children, or who only wants children of her own, will not want you.
None of those scenarios is bad. There are millions of women out there in any category
It's not ideal, but you're not nearly as fucked as a single mom.
>>17377927
This only applies to ugly/fat single moms.
I've known many hot single moms who have never had problems in relationships. I'm thinking of 3 off the top of my head and all of them have been married for several years after steady streams of dating partners. All of them are really good looking.
>>17377930
>single moms who have never had problems in relationships
Did you read that after you typed it? lmao
>>17377830
You know nothing.
This is actually my fetish so no.
>>17377820
No more than a single mom to men. Depends on your looks, the age of the kids, the status of your relationship with your ex. It's more than just your kid a woman is looking at. Most of the time, the mom gets the kids more often so that could be a plus for you because men have more free time to date.
>>17378001
How on earth are single parents a fetish?
>>17378017
>No more than a single mom to men
Anon, single moms are a huge turnoff to most men. Only the most bitch made men go after single moms for anything but an easy fuck.
>>17378042
In turn, no woman wants to deal with a psycho bitch ex and deal with snotty brats that aren't hers. Plus, there's nothing worse than trying to convince yourself and everyone else that you're proud of dating a dead beat dad who spends more money on shoes and drinks than his kids.
>>17378026
>>17378026
I fear pregnancy but want children and seeing a man be fatherly and sweet to his offspring that already exists so I don't have to shit one out gets my fucking engines revving let me tell you what.
eh, single parents are leftovers. Still, you'll eat leftovers if hungry enough
Take care of your child first
>>17377820
No! As long as you're willing to get more kids;
There is literally billions of women in the world
one of them will definitely marry you
>>17377820
Anyone saying 'yes' in this thread is a retard. No. Men are praised for being single parents, women think its cute when guys have kids and you will attract the serious "motherly" types. They instantly assume some kind of tragic story happened to the mother and that you are a valiant, brave father for taking care of the kid alone. Seriously, instant pussy.
>>17377820
Who wants to raise a child who's not theirs?
>>17378632
stop talkin about my wifes son like that.
>>17377820
your situation is prob pretty good, but your also in a spot where you can move up socioeconomically by saying single moms with lucrative careers.
There are some women or are infertile who'd be thrilled.
To me, a guy with a kid is an absolute turn off for a long term relationship. I have too many things I want to do in life that a kid would just hold me back. For a quick fuck if I'm desperate, why not?
Everyone has their own thing, you just gotta be patient until you come across someone who can work with it.
>>17378001
>>17378191
you don't mind raising another woman's child?
Yes. You're used goods and I don't want to deal with your baggage. Plus you're probably irresponsible, a poor decision maker, and stupid if you can't figure out how to use a condom.
How many men I have to left because they knocked some bitch up is unreal.
>>17378001
FEMKEK
>>17378977
Not OP, but you should take the time to read the thread, in which he clarified that she died.
>>17377820
I don't like children that much so it is initially a turn-off for me. The fact that your a widower does sort of change it for me though. If you were very compatible with me I could change my mind, otherwise it would be too much baggage to take on.
I'd date a single mom. Honestly they are more mature and graceful most of then time. More family oriented. It dosent make you bad for dating a single parent. I bet a lot of these people in this thread have step parents.
People are so selfish these days. Plus if you really care for someone you would want to be involved. It's weird
>>17377830
Listen to this anon.
>>17377820
Difficult to say.
It attract Dilf lovers which does very little to establish a meaningful relationship.
But it also attracts women who want kids, because they know you can make them.
>>17379130
>>17377830
Don't be shortsighted.
You can love the shit out of your kids and still be lonely for intimacy.
Pray you never know what its like to have a family lean on you, but nobody for you to lean on when you need it.
>>17378980
It's bait, anon-kun.
>>17377907
Women know the child will be and should be the fathers priority but therein lies the problem. The woman must be number one
>>17377820
As a 23-year-old (24 this year), yes. Maybe not when I'm like 35 and it's expected.
>>17378997
>Honestly they are more mature and graceful most of then time. More family oriented
There's a reason why they're single, Anon..
>>17377820
Not if you have nice looking scruff and look like luke bryan or something
As long as the mother is dead, I'd be alright with it. I don't want to get into some relationship where there are custody battles and divorce shit going on
No I would not ever consider being with a single father.
>>17379565
You want kids of your own?
Had a friend who was a single dad. Cute kid, and they where both happy. A lot of women wanted to be part of that. Worked well for him but he never put a women over his child. Also he did get a fine gf he is engaged to right now.
>>17377820
You want casual sex or a deep relationship? If the latter then you're fucked. Nobody will love and raise a child which isn't theirs, unless they're mother benevolency incarnate.
>>17379623
I want to borrow my friends son and take him to the park because he gets so much female attention.
Then I'll be like "Ah I'm just watching him for my friend and so we went to the park"
Kid will find me a gf.
>>17377820
Young woman who are just starting out in life? Yes.
Woman who are at the middle or leaving "their prime of their life"? No.
Personally, yes because I've had a few bad experiences with single fathers who could only talk badly about the mother of their child. It made me think that they'd talk shit about me when we broke up.
>>17378914
Why in the actual fuck should I care if it's another woman's child? She did the work for me, I didn't have to go through nine months of not being able to drink and being a fat fuck.
there's a lot of bullshit going on in this thread.
the answer is "no"-- not the fuck at all. it is a turn on to a huge percentage of women. sure there are some exceptions (e.g. women who use 4chan) but being a single dad means that if you disclose early and she sticks around, you will be immediately blown. saying "i have kids" it's a super fast way to screen out women who are not grownups, or not dtf.
it's amazing. single moms also will blow you in alleyways immediately upon meeting. and you can get serious dates from women who don't want kids, which is a huge percentage of the (privileged) population.
i'm a single dad and get laid constantly (though I think i found the best sex of my life so it looks like it's GF time). good luck, fellow dads.
If I wasnt married I still wouldn't want to date a single father. I have my own son and the thought of raising some other woman's kid makes my stomach turn. Even people who got divorced (for stupid reasons) or had a kid when they weren't married or had a kid by accident gross me the fuck out. If I were to get a divorce I wouldnt even bother dating.
Single dads turn me on for some reason. I'd love to be with one.
>>17380016
RespekT!
>>17380280
Lol, it's not that glamorous. I'm a single dad in college and it's a hot fucking mess most the time.
>>17380256
>thought of raising some other woman's kid makes my stomach turn
I am like 99.9% positive this is a man trying to defend his insecurities about the cuck meme bullshit.
It is not normal to be this irrationally disgusted by offspring that you did not personally spawn. This isn't a normal human mindset. You faggots are the victims of a hivemind of self loathing and bullshit.
It is if the guy likes anime, since older male father figure younger girl relationships are highly sexualised In anime.
It depends largely on the age of the kid. I could see myself accepting a child that's not mine if they're young enough. Hell, I'd love to have another baby and not have to deal with pregnancy. I'd love and nurture the fuck out of it.
But a much older kid that misses his/her mom, and knows I'm not her and could never replace her? I'd rather not deal with being made to feel inferior on a regular basis.
I don't think so much in the sexual sense - virtually all women love to see a man be cute and responsible with his kids.
But being a stepmother is a job that's even harder than being a biological parent, and oftentimes utterly and totally ungrateful at that. You will have to do as much work, sacrifice as much of your privacy and time, invest as much of your energy, but you don't get an equal say in how they are raised, whenever you anger them you'll get a "you're not my MOM" slapped in the face... and potentially there's a biological mother hating your guts somewhere in the picture, too.
So I'd say, it should be easy to get casual flings or one night stands - quite hard for serious long term relationships.
>>17378191
I'm picturing a fat assblasted acne faced neck beard femanon typing this. It's kind of disturbing.
It really depends on the kind of dad they are. It can be a turn on if they're a responsible and competent parent, but a huge red flag otherwise. It also depends on the circumstances they became a dad and their intentions when doing so. BTW I'm not saying that accidental pregnancies automatically make you a terrible person, but the way you handle them says a lot about who you are.
>>17381177
You sound like you know what you're talking about. Thank you for taking the time to write that out. The whole cuckold thing is getting out of hand.

I'm a 31 yr old woman. You know what? Fuck you tumblrfag. I was induced for 4 days because my son was literally killing my organs. He was 4 weeks premature. I would have fucking died for him. I felt him wiggle out of me and it was the most insane experience I've ever felt. Ever since he's been born he was healthy. Even though my kidneys are still fucked, I'm happy because my son is healthy. So fuck you. Just because I'm a mother does not mean I want to take care of a kid that isn't mine.
It's a dealbreaker for me. I don't want kids ever though, I have no intention on being a parent, step or otherwise.
But honestly, the bigger turn off is the fact you have to have constant contact with your ex because of the kid. Especially young moms, just constantly shit talk the new gf and I want nothing to do with that drama. Plus there's always the possibility of legal drama over the kid, custody or otherwise. A friend of mine's boyfriend's baby mama got the kid to tell the cops that her daddy's new girlfriend molested her. Had to undergo investigation, and she just graduated with her teaching degree. Couldn't very well get a job as a 1st grade teacher while she was under investigation for pedophilia now can she? Really set her career back.
Even still though, if the mother wasn't a complete cunt, I'd just feel very uncomfortable interacting with her and her kid, especially if she had primary custody.
Since in your case the mom isn't in the picture, which I'm sorry for your loss, there'd be a slight chance I personally could overlook it but idk I'd have to be much older than I am now due to the fact kids just sound like a black hole to throw money into to me right now. I'd rather be out having fun with my life than raising a kid I never wanted to begin with.

>Adoption
>Surrogacy
>death of the mother
There are many things that could make a single dad
>>17379551
And what about surrogacy ?
It wouldn't be a turn off for me. Some lady's aren't build to have children, they will die in the process.
The only single dad I know is completely drowning in pussy, from young girls to older girls. He gets them all.
It clearly isn't a turn off to most women.
>>17382349
> I would have fucking died for him
Good for you, that's a normal human reaction. What isn't is normal is flying into a fucking rage at the thought of adopting a child or shitting all over those that do so.
Honestly you sound like a shit human being and I can only hope that you get some help before instilling your fucked up mentality in your kid.
I'm almost positive that
>>17381962
is also
>>17380256
and
>>17382349
Seriously your hatred for other people's children is not fucking normal. We as a species naturally want to love and nurture small things regardless of whither or not it gestated in our bodies. This is literally what separates us from non-sentient beings.
It's so fucking depressing to even know that there's people like you out there goddamn.
