I used to sell hard drugs to kiddo's in my hometown. great money, but someday the lackeys of the local criminal boss (he owns mutliple bordellos and probably is the biggest dealer) came up to me. They did not outright beat me up but it was clear I had to stop, so I sold them my goods for a decent price and stopped.
I later, and still, went on illegal hunting and scavenging trips. Hunting in our country is illigal without expensive permits, but who's gonna stop me? Also scavenging mushrooms and mosses is illegal.

Change your habits, thats the first step. Change your pass time activities to something constructive like fitness that encourages you to improve your self and your skills.

The true passion thing i can definitely relate to, but think of programming as a tool or a bridge that allows you to achieve greater things in life than just writing code and making a decent living. Think of all the possibilities you can have as a programmer, make an app that significantly improves people's quality of life, fix broken projects, take an entrepreneurial route and design your own social media platform. Technology is fucking powerful and the opportunities are endless imo. Thats why i decided to major in comp sci. Its not what you go to school for that matters, its what you do with it.

I highly recommend weightlifting with a friend or something. Its a way to continuallly be a better version of yourself not just physically but mentally too.

Move out and force yourself to get a taste of how shitty life can be beyond just being sad and put yourself in a situation that will give you ambitions

The ones who aren't trash are the ones who are passionate and motivated. The kinds who made shit in their own time outside of school or whatever unrelated job they had at the time. The kinds who are constantly researching new fields or staying on the bleeding edge of tech.

People like you are a drag on a team, but it doesn't mean there isn't a place for you. You'll be stuck forever working some shitty job making $30k/year forever with your current attitude.

Do what you enjoy doing and you'll progress in life. Torture yourself and you'll go nowhere.

You don't specify if you're a woman, but as a dad to girls this is something I think about a lot. It's really important that people are called out harassment bullshit; it's just basic that nobody should say anything in private to a crush (or target) that the wouldn't be proud of in public.

Unfortunately the world is filled with liars and assholes on both sides of the harassment equation, which makes it very hard for people in your situation.

You can tell your story to anyone who asks, but don't publicly provide your personal narrative on the subject. DO provide documentation in the form of screen shots, data, and photographs he sent. Just say, "This is what [guy name] said to me on Facebook; it was unwelcome and it's continuing." Let his behavior speak for himself and censor nothing. That any forthcoming conversation is about the data and the behavior, not about you. This will certainly stop him from continuing the behavior as far as you're concerned, and hopefully help stop this from happening to someone else.

If you're willing to do anything just to sleep, I suggest you make yourself dizzy. Lol it sounds autistic (because it is) but it has worked for me for the past 8 months. For me, I just play a video game on my phone in the dark on my bed (when I'm about to sleep) that induces motionsickness and has lots of bright lights. Play the game just until your eyes are exhausted and it should make you want to close your eyes to sleep. You won't even know it that you're already sleeping

Idk maybe this is just me, just sharing my experience anon. I wish you the best because I know how much of a bitch sleep deprivation is
