Is a fine art degree useless?
>>17917176
more or less. the thing about most art fields is that they dont actually require a degree. an art degree can help you hone your craft if you're sloppy.
but its a lot like playing a lottery, but instead of a 2 dollar ticket you're paying a 120 thousand dollar ticket, and isntead of waiting a week, you cwait your entire lifetime.
my advice is if you're able to go to college get a real major, and just fill up your extra curriculars with all the art stuff you find particularly interesting.
It's like every other degree. Usually you should go into it knowing quite a bit of your craft to get the most out of it. Otherwise you'll be lost. In a field like graphic design and the likes what matters is your portfolio and your marketing ability.

This. If your art is going to sell, it's going to sell without that degree. You're better off building up a portfolio. In that sense, it's kind of like programming, really.
GUIDELINES:
Before you post a question, check the FAQ to see if it's already been answered.
Keep questions short for more answers.
If you're not going to like honest answers, don't ask your question.
And please no derailing arguments.
FAQ:
>Do girls/guys like <insert specific look>?
>What do girls/guys think about <an insecurity including, but not limited to: looks, physical traits, personality traits, virginity or otherwise lack of dating experience>
There is no one answer. Preferences differ, but complexes are always a turn-off.
>I'm shy and afraid of people/rejection. What do I do?
Get over it by practising and exposing yourself to it, little by little, step by step. There is no single magical moment that will instantly change you forever.
>I like someone. What do I do?
>How can I tell if someone likes me?
Ask them out.
>Where do I meet girls/guys?
Anywhere outside. Or online.
>Someone did something insignificant. What does it mean?
Nothing significant. You're overthinking it.
>XYZ happened. Interpret this for me please
We're not in their head, we don't know.
>This person did something that hurt my feelings. Why do guys/girls do this?
Because shit people are shit people. It's not a gendered thing.
>Someone has made it super clear they're no longer interested in me. Do I still have a chance?
No.
>Where do I go on a first (or subsequent) date?
Pick one or more of the following: coffee, lunch, dinner, drinks, ice cream, movies, zoo, aquarium, museum, art gallery, <activity in your city>.
>Brandon, that guy who keeps asking about cuddling in platonic friendships and fart guy
Fuck off
reminder not to do the following
>Girls or guys:.....
>everyone/all
Girls: I'm in a weird situation. I guess my relationship is open now and my gf wants me to casually fuck other women (but not date/catch feelings) but I'm not sure exactly how that can work, dating is all that makes sense to me to get to sex. There are a few girls interested in me that don't know I have a gf and I could easily date them but obviously not easily just have casual sex with no dating. What do I do?
Girls, I just recently broke up with my gf but we live together and are under a lease. She says she's okay and seems like she's moving on - she's out almost every night, but she still wants to kiss and cuddle occasionally and always says how much she misses me and seeks me for comfort.
She obviously still has feelings for me and I her, but I don't feel like this is a healthy way for us to move on. Do I give in and give her what she wants or should I establish a boundary? Is she really moving on or is she just saying that? Is this normal behavior?
Never broke up with partner before.
>Barely average
This has been the bane of my existence since I became a man.
I've tried to go the extra mile just to please women, I eat them out for a long period of time, finger them, do everything I can with my body to get them there.
And it takes the joy out of it and leaves me empty and humiliated.
Should I finally cast aside my pride and dignity and use an extender or dildo?
The irony is that having a big dick does not preclude one from being skilled with his tongue or hands. So you'll just have to accept that there are hung studs who are better lovers than you in every regard. Hope this helps.
>>17917159
But what if they only get off on deep vaginal stimulation?
Fingers and tongue only go so far, anon.
>>17917142
why do focus so much on woman? you should only finger or eat them out when it suits you. they derive most of their sexual pleasure from you deriving sexual pleasure from them. if you really wanted to please a woman, you would focus on pleasing yourself first.
how do i not fuck up a relationship with my female friend? im seriously attracted to her but we make great friends and im sure being in a relationship would fuck that up. also im sure she isnt interested in me in that way so id fuck things up forever if i ever got ballsy enough to try something.
mentally i know its a wrong move but sexually i want her
it doesnt help that shes my exes bff so the taboo factor only makes her more appealing.
i just need advice on suppressing my sexual urges so i dont lose a great friend
>>17917119
you cant be friends if you have feelings for her and wont tell her. you have to be honest with your friends.
You'll grow to resent them in the long run trying to suppress your feelings. Just be honest.
>>17917143
>>17917130
trust me we're great friends. we talk for hours back and forth, no double texting or one sided conversations. im genuinely fascinated by what she has to say and we have hilarious banter. its just in the back of my mind when we're alone or if i look at he a certain way.
Curious to know if femanons like Big muscular Guys who lift?

It's a preference. Some women do, some women don't. I'd wager more do than don't, however.
This is a repeated thread. Stop it.
Where do I find tall women?
My ideal range is 5'10" - 6'2"
I'm a tall fit dude, and every girl online is a short little piggy. I go to bars and maybe I'll see one girl over 5'10", and pray to god shes thin and single.
Drinking and over eating is a big problem in the midwest and I'm so frustrated.

How terrifying is it for men to be seen as creepy?
I've been working as an escort since the recession, and I've noticed a gradual increase of early-twenties college kids coming to me. Good looking, well dressed, functional, you name it. So I can't help but ask why they're coming to me now. And one of the common themes is, so they believe, that women are easily creeped and frighten by men these days, that they're too afraid to approach them now.
I mean, I've heard stories about people ruining their reputation and social status by creeping out the wrong girl, intentionally or no. But I didn't think it was this bad.
nice pasta faм
It's enough so that it's one of the reasons I regularly contemplate suicide.
I don't know, I'm not a girl, but girls do have insanely high standards nowadays (and so do I)
I am looking to find a partner interested in several things such as learning and investigating, writing, etc.
One could say some sort of ''accountability'' or partnership.
I guess this thread is already an attempt at trying to find somebody. But, if its badly perceived by the people around here, perhaps you could advice me as to where I could go to find somebody (besides real life...)?
How far would someone need to fall to shatter their skull/neck (assuming head first and landing on a hard ground)?

The top of a building like that should do quite nicely, especially if you make sure you go headfirst. Good luck, OP.

The building was a random-ass building from Google images. I want to know a distance.

three stories is the safe minimum. from that height there is no way to survive unless you're the main character.
I think I'm starting to get to that point in my life where I don't care about being an eternal virgin anymore.
When do I know?
>>17916983
when do you know if you care? by caring or not caring.
ultimately you will always be conflicted. everyones conflicted about everything. its hwy people on this board tend to give you a pros and cons list instead of just picking an answer for you.
>>17917057
I dunno it just doesn't cause me mental pain as much as it used to.
>>17917065
ur on the road to not caring or making peace with it at the very least. does it really matter WHEN or if you knwo it?
How do I become a good cartoonist?
Pic related, was delivered today.

I have never cartooned in my life, and my drawings are of scribble quality at the moment.

Draw with friends on whiteboads chatrooms online? It helped me get better.
Goals
>interesting job
>wife
>stable family
>not being absolutely miserable
is it possible to achieve these four things?
Most people here will tell you no, but that's not true. It will be hard to find a good balance between all of those, and part of finding that balance will have to do with how well you can realize not everything is perfect. Learn to be happy with what you have, and I'm not saying you need to settle or lower your standards but you need to be realistic. It's a fine line though.
That being said, it's hard to achieve all that in life. The roller coaster has to come down sometimes.
>>17916939
possible to happen yes, but possible to achieve? well its kidn of hard to say you can achieve a wife or stable family.
you ahve to remember that despite all the psychology books out there, there aren't very many cures to the human mind. you can't control whether or not your kid comes out with a physical defect, much less a personality flaw that tears the family apart.
stable is definitely different than 'perfect' but its the kind of thing thats hard to sit down and appreciate.
same thing goes for wife. i mean you can get a wife tomorrow if you lowered your standards. a lot of men say they 'cant get a gf' but what they really mean is that they can't get one who is attractive to them. they refuse to date within their league and call others shallow for it but not themselves.
the problem with making a 'wife' a goal is that you're just trying to check something off of a list. you could get married tomorow and hate it for the rest of your life and miss out on everything the world has to offer... including the possibility of a wife you actually like.
unfortunately the top two causes of marriage are 'im pregnant' and 'well we've been dating for a whole year, i guess we have no choice but to get married'.
>not being absolutely miserable
those three things above won't cure misery, so consider figuring out WHY you're miserable... or even if you're actually miserable and just not wallowing in misery.
>>17916966
My parents divorced. A lot of people who are married seem absolutely miserable and I don't want to end up like them. I really think the key is marring someone who isn't extremely flawed and has some values aside from just doing what is fun.
I just want to be good enough to earn all of those things.
Any lawyers? I've got a question
I'm 18. I live in Texas.
If I receive revealing (BUT NOT NUDE) pictures from a 17 year old girl that turns 18 in July, is that bad? They weren't nudes, she had clothes on. No pussy or tits were shown. I recently turned 18 as well.

Why men acted like they're interested but then disappeared after the date?
P/s: by "acted" I meant they were very touchy feely, holding hands or making out.
I usually always act like I'm interested even if I'm not. Because why not?
>>17916955
So you can touch a girl even if you're not really interested? Even making out with them?
Oh yeah I forgot men just want to fuck.
"I don't like this person but maybe I can score while we're already here."
...
"Oh damn guess not time to move on"
>you have to live
>to live, you have to work
>to work, you have to get an education
>to get an education, you have to be interested in that particular line of work
Disability pension isn't livable, so I wouldn't be any better off if I put out my eyes.
What the fuck are you supposed to do when you aren't interested in anything employable and there's a social stigma on suicide?
>to get an education, you have to be interested in that particular line of work
false. you should go get an education
>>17916920
I've been turned down from every line of education with hopes of employment due to either my stupidity or lack of interest. Save for one, where I dropped out. I was too stupid to become an electrician.
One does not simply walk into an university here.
