As long as you can make it fit your macros

Yes. A carb is a carb. If you have room in your macros, then you're good. If you do IF, you're good. If you don't have room in cal intake/macros/etc... try to find different deserts. You can make bread pudding with milk, protein bread, eggs, and protein icing (protein powder + coconut milk.) just sweet enough. Also, sweet potatoes, pastries with minimal amounts of dough. :)

How do people manage to make it through a workout on an empty stomach? And why do many claim it is best to train on an empty stomach? I personally enjoy a good breakfast before working out so I was wondering how people manage to train like that without feeling all dizzy, nauseated, dead-on-arrival etc.

I do intermittent fasting so I train on an empty stomach, it was hard at first but you get used to it.

If I eat a little before training it was okay, but if I eat too much I get sick now.

But honestly, just do whatever is most comfortable for you. If you're looking to fast, I can tell you that you get used to it, if not, keep eating.

I'm trying my hardest to gain weight, progressing slowly, but progressing nevertheless. The main problem: can't drink dairy, can't really ear wheat.

If fucking sucks. No milk, no yogurt, very little bread, or crippling stomach cramps and vomitting. What would you do in this situation, trying to bulk? What cheap alternatives can you think of?

I'm here on /fit/ to get my shit together. I currently weigh around 350lbs and I honestly disgust myself. My goal weight for now is in the 250 or less range. Due to back problems and a touch of arthritis, potential exercise is somewhat limited (dead lifting is a definite no-go). I've been incrementally increasing how much I walk in a day (currently 2/3 mile once per day). Food budget is meager at about 120 USD per month, after covering mandatory expenses like insurance/rent/utilities (just barely over the maximum allowed income line so I don't qualify for government benefits to assist with food budget).

What I feel I need help with most:

>taming food cravings
>healthy food selections that I can make work with my budget
>exercises that won't result in needing medical attention, but will help to burn lard deposits in waist/gut/thighs

I'm committed to doing this, I do not want to end up in a fuckin rascal.

if you're a smoker, smoke more, if not (don't start). The only way to deal with that is to just put up, don't give in, and after a while, you'll have no more cravings

go for lettuce, it's super cheap, as well as ground anything. Moreover, buy whole chickens and then learn to cut them in pieces yourself, it's not that hard to do so tbqh. Small fish can also be really cheap, but I live near the sea, so that may factor to why I can get them for so cheap.
For carbs, you can buy your own flour and make your bread/pita, it's super cheap and easy

My best input to this would be just focus on the nutrition man. Don't even worry about walking the whole cravings and stuff is going to take some raw will power. Download the app or go on the computer and head to myfitnesspal dot com set up everything based on your metrics and count your calories no cheating what so ever. You can always walk for an eternity but just the same self restriction and moderation on food consumption is really the only way to lose some pounds. You'll have to go full autism for the first weeks I would get a food scale for accurate readings. don't worry about your Carb/Pro/fat ratios at all just for the first 3 weeks focus on hitting calorie goals every day no cheat days.
