Near-hermit who doesn't want to leave the house or spend money on a gym membership here.
Bowflex, good or bad buy?
I've been using free weights but because I don't have a spotter I don't push my limits, is this a decent alternative to wasting money on a gym membership I'd never use?
>>39628764

u need to get out and go to the gym where there is other people and lift amongst them.

What is it like to have people like you because you are fit, guys and girls alike?
>>39607905
Why did he do this to himself?
anyone who appreciates you solely on your physical appearance is a narcissist who does not see why we lift
we lift because the growth of the body, the pursuit of our physical ideal, is one facet of pursuing greatness in our own lives. if someone squeezes your bicep and suddenly gives a shit that you exist, you must remember that they are hollow; apart of the listless blob of humanity that will grow old and tiptoe into a grave
t. brainlet :^)
Feels good that they like me for something. I'm pretty unlikable person and non-existent personality, so I need something to impress people with. Generally my aesthetics over-power a persons ability to see through my shitty personality.
Not sure what else I'm supposed to say.
What's your excuse faglords?

redpill me on yoga
ive been lifting for four years.
>>39629846
Good for flexibility, joint health, and meeting women.
But you probably care about that last bit trappy
Yoga is great and so is just stretching in general. Muscles get tight and tense over time, especially with lifting, and doing yoga is an excellent way to stay flexible and mobile and nimble, and not like a 60 year old man who cant reach his toes.

what are you, like 15% bf? I'd start cutting if i were you
Alright /fit/ I've decided that powerlifting/strength programs are gay and I'm ready to move on
I want to get on my school's dragonboating team next semester, and they have fitness testing to see who gets on the top team. I need to get good at AMRAP/hypertrophy/lots of reps with low weights at:
[pullups, front squats, ERG sprints/long distance, bench]
Currently i'm manlet at 150lbs~, cutting right now (will hopefully get to 143-145 by 3 mo), lifts DL/back squat/OHP/bench x5 at 305/240/130/185lbs, and I need to train hard to improve in pullups/front squats/ERG (rowing) for lots of reps at low weights (i'm talking like 100lbs for front squat and bench) mostly, what do I do?
I was on a PPL/UL split but after deciding to do dboating I've just been doing like 3x15 or shit with squats/bench/rowing and 5xF pullups at the gym each workout, but this doesn't sound like the best way to progress fast..what can i do to maximize endurance gains in 2-3 months?
help me /fit/, you are my only hope
/fit/ stop shitposting on no gf threads and help me
>>39629551
You can't even deadlifts 3 plates and you're dieting? Lift more, eat more.
To get better at dragonboating/endurance, somewhere around 100% of your exercise should be rowing. Because it's mostly just dicking around, and having endurance is the main thing.
>>39629688
Is it bad to do a lot of pullups? I have a pullup bar that i do variations on. I can do atleast 8 pullups at a time as it is, but I want to get stronger. Are pullups good for gaining strength? Can doing pullups give me better grip strength and endurance for sex?
Yeah if you do more than 10 a day you'll die
Do push-ups too, so you get more well rounded upper body workout
careful, you might get too big
Routine Rate Thread, go!
Day A)
Bench Press - 2x3, 1x3+
Bench Press - 3x6 - 50% of first three heavy sets.
Incline DB Press - 3x8
Deadlift - 2x1, 1x1+
Pendlay Row - 3x6
Chin Ups (Negatives) - 3xF
Day B)
Overhead Press - 2x3, 1x3+
Overhead Press - 3x6 - 50% of first three heavy sets.
Upright Row - 3x8 (Lateral Raises gives me insane crunch, snap and pop action in my shoulders)
Squat - 2x3, 1x3+
Squat - 3x6 - 50% of first three heavy sets.
Leg Press - 3x8
I finish every workout with some cardio, primarily cycle on squat days and HIIT running on deadlift days. 10-15 minutes. Thinking about replacing Upright Rows with something else though, just don't know what.
0/10. Genuinely the worst routine I've ever seen in my LIFE.
