Can stretching exercises help me (1.73 m male 18 years) get any taller? If so how tall and if not what can?

Just hang with a 45 on each leg for a couple minutes a day. Then hang from your legs upside down with whatever weight you can manage on each arm.

This will stretch your spine both ways and maybe even lengthen your legs. Think of your spine like a coil. The coil gets longer as you stretch it. And if you do it enough eventually the coil will stay at an unslinked length. Every coil has a limit though until it's at full length. Just like your spine. If you've maxed out your spine you're fucked for home remedies of how to get taller.

Just don't do the neck. While you can cheat some cms out of the neck with stretching, it's very dangerous if you don't do it right. You could also use rings to lengthen your neck but then you look like a giraffe.

what's going on with me /fit/?

>be skinnyfat fag
>read faq and start lifting 3 times per week
>lift for 6 months
>eat at surplus
>gain around 1 lbs per week
>gain a bit over 20 lbs total
>lift as hard as i can every workout
>know about prilepin chart for progression and aim to progress each workout
>sleep 8+ hours each night

>after 5 months look the same but with bigger belly and a fatter face
>feels and looks like that 20 lbs went only to my belly and face
>wrists circumference 6"
>wrist width a little over 2"
>arms still look like toothpicks
>my grandma has bigger wrists than me
>tfw my dick has more girth than my wrists
>tfw everywhere i go the first thing people say is "your arms are really skinny"

>feel completely depleted of energy after first set when on workout days
>lifts haven't moved in close to 2 months
>progress is shit and actually going backwards

is there even a point in trying to continue? i think that i won genetic lottery. even noticed lots of excessive hair in the past few months when showering so i wouldn't be surprised if i started to bald. at the moment lifting weights feels like a waste of money and time.

apart from getting fat literally nothing changed in the past 6 months. it only made me feel like shit all the time. i basically looked better when i didn't workout and sat on my ass all the time than i do as of today.

going to get checked up by doctor next week but i doubt they'll find anything. they never had before.

Sucks.

Sets of 8-12 reps. Lots of volume. Make sure you isolate biceps, triceps, lats, abs, forearms.

Also do compounds like squats and DL. If you can't squat do leg press or something.

Never ever sets of 5. That's how you make no progress and get fat

i have literally nothing going in my life except gym, dutch lessons and work where i dont meet any new people

Force yourself to interact with other people.

Do this long enough and you'll extend your comfort zone. Do what feels uncomfortable. If it is possible I would recommend to travel alone to some complete different culture. I think I was a normal guy, socially not inept, when I travelled to China for a semester abroad. New culture, new people, new language. Six months and friends told me I was way more charismatic and confident.

My dad says he wants to start lifting to conserve his muscles and bones in old age. He's 58, and has never lifted before. I know that older guys can do heavy lifting, but can't do as many reps and sets, but what kind of program should I get him on? It should presumably be something like Starting Strength without the Power Cleans, as older people's tendons can't handle explosive movements

I've been using food as an escape mechanism ever since I can recall. It always comforted me when I was lonely, sad or depressed. Maybe comfort isn't the right word, just made me forget about my problems for a while because it hurt eating this much.

I can't seem to solve it and I really need help, I can't take this anymore

Every time I want to eat more than my allotted 1500 cals, I take my shirt off and go look in the mirror.

I look at my disgusting pudgy stomach and my pathetic bitch tits, and decide if I really want to eat.

Most of the time I end up not eating.
