So I'm 6 feet and around 150 pounds pure dyel/skinnyfat and I've already signed up for 6 months of gym starting Jan (been a long time coming but better late than never) and basically I tend to mostly eat at a deficit because intermittent fasting makes it effortless by just skipping breakfast and eating dinner early, but my diet also consists of random junk or high carb food almost half the time, so my main question/concern here is:
If I have a busy schedule and have trouble eating proper food throughout the day yet at the moment I can easily eat at a deficit and not gain any weight, when I start lifting would it be best for me to just go for anything high in protein to hit the approximate protein goal and even go above calorie maintenance without giving a fuck about gaining some fat too for maximum energy and muscle gain since I can afford to gain some fat? Or do I still try to stay around maintenance and just go for pure protein shit like tuna/cottage cheese/etc that takes 0 effort to prepare?
Or hell, do I straight up go for protein supplements?

Get you self a gainer, son.
And then pound them down whenever you have the time.
>>39715402
>>39715608
Read your post again, just eat like a horse, read the sticky and lift a lot, build some muscle and dont worry so much about putting on extra fat since you're so skinny. You can eat at a deficit later and go back down.
>You are not a real man unless you weigh over 200 lbs
ppl and lifting for aesthetics is for pussies
a real men lifts for strength and eats to fit his goals

>HA! You skinny think! According to Mark Rippetoe you are not even ONE adult male, while I am 1.75-nearly TWO adult males.

I have a condition called SIBO and I can't eat carbs. Has anyone successfully bulked up weight on keto? Is it even feasible?
Keto is meant for cutting, not bulking.
>>39715179
It's feasible, not ideal, but you don't really have a choice.
Unless you're lying about SIBO to legitimize making a stupid dietary choice.
>>39715202
its more then ideal once u get fat adapted.
shit nigger uve ever really tried keto for more then two weeks?!?!
/fit/, I need some good work-out music, could you guys post some? I don't mind the genre, I'm not picky.

You wake up tomorrow in the body of CatFace.
Keep in mind, he's 6'2 and 100 pounds.
What do you do with this body in one year?

Hello. I have worked up to a routine that looks like this:
Every other day workout:
>4 sets of 12 pull ups
>4 sets of 25 push ups
>3 sets of 40 crunches
Every other day cardio:
>Run 3 miles
>Bike 8-12 miles through grass and dirt paths in the woods
>In between running and biking days walk three miles
So typically I work out every other day and do cardio nearly every day if you include walking as cardio.
What can I add to this routine besides increasing reps or increasing sets? I could sign up for the local gym but I've never really worked out in a gym before so I won't know how to use the machines or what I should even be doing in the gym.
Note I'm 5'8" and 130lbs. I used to be 149 lbs before I started my routine.
>What do I add to my routine
I have no idea what your goal is so I have no idea what you should do to reach it
>>39714556
Oh whoops I should clarify that for the work outs I do all of those in one day, for the cardio I do one of the three listed that day and alternate every other day.
>>39714578
idk I guess I want to gain weight but I want it to be muscle and not fat. I want to weigh 140 pounds. So I want to gain 10 pounds but I don't want to gain belly fat. I worked really hard to eliminate most of my belly fat and even at 130lbs I still have some left and I feel like if I gain 10 pounds it's gonna come back.
>tfw when no golden ratio frame
Why even try
Can I compete if I bulked up?

just go to the gym s m h
After loosing around 100 pounds of weight (260 lbs - 160 lbs) over a timespan of 2 years, I still struggle pretty badly with excess skin. I've been hitting the gym for over a year now, and even though my muscles start to show, my skin looks as horrible as ever (mostly below the abdomen). My ass and thighs are the worst part. I feel like I didn't reach anything, because my thighs are still pretty thick (I wear pants with a width of 36 inches (L)) and my ass looks pretty bad when I'm standing up. The whole skinarea is just kinda hanging loosely. I don't know, maybe it just looks way worse to me, than it actually is. Anyway, I neither have the budget to get surgery done for this nor do I have an idea how to handle this shit, except for building muscle mass with an increased protein intake. Some ideas or even a specialized plan would be a godsend.
tl;dr: I have loose skin after loosing 100 pounds of weight and want to get rid of it. How?
>>39714425
There is nothing you can do other than surgery
Consider it your scarlet letter for getting so fat in the first place
Ask your medic not a Tibetan gong forum.
But surgery might be the only option.
>>39714490
Trust me, I'd beat the shit out of past-me if I could. Fucking fat piece of shit.
what's the difference between added sugar and natural sugar?
spoiler/nothing/spoiler
good job op
@sugarindustry
@FDA
@liberals
Taking the bait here
Most of the sugars found in sweets come from processed sugars and are chock full of things that can make you fat as fuck.
Meanwhile natural sugars which can be found in carbs and fruits and veggies are full of nutrients and proteins that can actually be used by the body.
Girls of /fit/ post their bodies, guys of /fit/ give them atten- err, provide constructive criticism.

Can we're get a info graph and supplement thread going? Also question, I know they always say the only supplements that work are protein and creatine but I'm fucking retarded with a lot of money and can't find steroids. Does anyone have a extreme list of all supplements that's will give even a small affect to lifts? Like fucking everything cus online all it ever says are "the six supps you need" or "5 key supps to get big"
I want the fucking "100 supplements to take all at once to become a monster "
Tldr; give me all supps u know that work
General info graph thread
the only thing you NEED is the 13 essential vitamins, magnesium, calcium and fish oil. if you have a balanced diet you can get everything from food alone. the only thing you might need is b-complex supplement.

Why are girls only motivated to work out when there's a trendy program on Instagram?
>>39714060
Monkey see, monkey do
We are social apes after all and girls who lack incentives to train only do things to gain status among other females
>>39714060
Because they need visual indicators of the results, even if it's completely bogus.
