I read for muscle growth you should aim for at least a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight. How am I supposed to get in 150 grams of protein a day? Let's sta for breakfast I eat three eggs, then for lunch three servings of peanuts then for dinner a chicken breast.
That's 18+18+50= 86 grams. Also, I don't eat dairy or soy.

I know this isn't /adv/ but it is related to /fit/ so I thought I'd ask here.

Basically I started being trained professionally at the gym since 23rd December and on average go around 4 - 5 times a week, my diet isn't the best mostly because I'm allergic to almost all fruit and some veg (tree pollen) so I stick to mainly chicken wraps and things like toast with butter, a bowl of rice krispies (2 teaspoons of sugar) and pepsi max (around 6 cans per day). Yes I drink at least 2 litres per day not including water I drink at the gym.

I know I can reduce the Pepsi Max to just two meals (2 cans) and reduce my sugar which I have been doing.

I'm 5ft 11, muscular body type and I weigh at the moment 19 stone 5 down from my original 20 stone 7 with my waist being down by 8cm. My doctors and trainer think I should be around 15 stone to be healthy again.

It's closer to 1 g of protein: 1lb of lean body mass. Meaning that a 250lb fatty doesn't need 250g of protein to gain muscle, more like 180-200g

Hey anons, just wanted to get some of your opinions. Just started working out again after a 3 week hiatus due to a shoulder strain. Prior to the injury I've been gymming it for 2 months.

Here are my stats for 5x5 scheme on compound lifts:

OHP : 105 lb 5x5
Bench : 165lb 5x5
Squat : 225 5x5
Deadlifts: 315 5x5
Pendlay Rows: 135 5x5

So after looking at some other peoples' stats on here, I feel my upper body strength is pussy as fuck compared to my deadlift and squat numbers. Is this normal?

What kind of rows do you guys do? Pros and cons with the different types? I'm currently doing db rows or seated cable rows but I'm considering trying a barbell version instead

I do bent over BB with hook or reverse grip. I like them a lot. Hit lats and traps pretty hard. I can pull up to about 145 I think.

Personally, I hate barbell rows.
I do full body 3x a week and I do cable rows one day, Db the next and tuck front lever rows at the end of the week. I find the V grip for seated rows hits my lats like crazy but any other kind of row I can feel more in the rhomboids and fear delts.

I was using the urinals at my gym; i usually dont use them but since some retards decided to crap all over the seats and floor of the stalls i was forced to use them. Main reason is because im a really nervous pisser and i like the comfort of my own closed off space.

So i was happily peeing away when some guy came up and started to use the urinal next to me. At this time my piss flow completely stopped and i was trying ever so hard to get it back, trying to fill my head with happy thoughts. The guy turned to look at me for a second and i panicked, my face started to turn red and i began to sweat. I dont know wut came over me at that second but i turned to him - i looked at his face, then down at his penis...and then back at his face and then stupidly blurted out, "hey man, nice cock".

Being nervous makes you do stupid things, the guy gave me a weird and disgusted look and walked away. I had to cover my face as i walked out of my gym so the guy wouldnt notice me. I then went home and cried in my bed.

WTF IS WRONG WITH ME!

I dont know if i can ever go back to that gym again. Thinking off cancelling my membership.

Fell in my wrist 3 months ago and still can't do push ups without pain. Got it checked and physio said it's most likely a scaphoid break. Getting an MRI in a week or so. Any bros here have experience? Does it heal back to full health? Will I always have problems with it?

Yeah well don't panic yet, the MRI will show the severity. If you have health insurance then the surgery isn't a big deal, it should be pretty quick, maybe some pain for a week but pretty mild. Either way you will probably do some physical therapy and it should help with the pain. If you do have surgery, do your fucking PT religiously. You only have a limited window of time in which to work on your range of motion, after a while it won't improve any further. Good luck anon
