Trust me, it's better going trough with it now. Than putting it off and making good gains and then losing them all trough PSMF like I did.

Sure, a moderate deficit is much easier on the body, but that takes a long fucking time if you're obese and can be even more demotivating.

So as I came to realize my overweight is simply holding me back in life (not one of those fucking retarded new year resolutions). Not only because girls won't ever find me atractive, hell I'm far beyond that, but simply because my whole stamina is so out of order, I can't sleep well at night, I'm stressed out over the smallest things, I simply feel bad etc. pp [insert fat people blubberish here] I've come to finally start exercizing in a gym.

I'm a total newbie to all this shit and just am excercizing according to what my coach and some friends told me. I've started around 2 or 3 weeks ago, going to the gym 2-3 times a week with ~55-66 Minutes of workout.

Today I stood on a scale that determined my Muscle-Body fat percentage.

To begin with I never had much selfesteem, but I felt better going to the gym. I have more energy and am more confident in myself.

When I got to know how much body fat I got that crumbled. 32,9% Body Fat, 31,9 % Muscle.

Hell, I am more fat than muscle.

At this point I don't know if I should give up and life the blob life, or continue for the sake of myself, since 3 weeks isn't anything worthy talking about in concerns of "going to the gym" and all that.

I am still skeptical if this will lead to me getting a better and fitter body, or simply me beeing a cattle the gym industry can feed on and I'll stay as fat and unhealthy as I am.

What should I do /fit/ fags?

Stick with it, progress isn't going to be fast and it'll take months for it to be noticeable. But it is definitely worth it, speaking from experience your life will improve a lot if you're not fat.

Hey /fit/
I'm coming out of a ~1 year bout with depression during which I put on somewhere around 8-10 kgs.
I've signed up for an obstacle race in late April with some friends for motivation, and frankly I really want to be able to complete it. I was lifting fairly consistently through most of the past year, but neglecting cardio. I don't know exactly how much I need to drop and I'm anxious about losing muscle mass, when I ought to be gaining it.

So basically my issue is that I want to get bigger and smaller at the same time. What's the best way to go about it? Do I just do a small deficit and keep a close eye on my proteine intake? Currently on Stronglifts to get back in the game, running and experimenting with IF.
Currently about 89 kg, 179 cm.

Your body is going to drop weight if you cut. Putting more mass on while cutting will be nearly impossible but with proper protein intake you should be able to retain most of the muscle during your cut.

So far I've found that IF is easier for me in terms of discipline. If I'm out the door without breakfeast I won't have anything before lunch regardless, so the feeding window pretty much manages itself. Lunch is usually a proteine bar and a banana/apple. And maybe a boiled egg. Workout in the afternoon (with a small pre-game snack if I'm tired). Then I eat a large supper.

I haven't gotten my shit together enough to actually work out the exact cals, but I'll get on that.

OK, then keep on losing weight and get skinnier but start doing some dumbbells so you don't go auswitch mode.

Well, yeah, you can improve yourself as well but remember that your beloved loves you lots as well, so don't be too hard on yourself, alright?

Just start getting skinnier, go low bodyfat%, like around 12% or something so your legs and ass look good but you gotta hit some bodyweight routines, like LOTS of squats so your ass get plumpy.

Just giving you a very small idea, don't know much about it but just be careful with hormones and that shit, since it actually harms your body really bad if you do some research here and there.

But you can look female and all if you take care of your skin to make it smooth, also wash your hair well to make it soft and watch your routine, stop eating shit on a can or bag (soda, potato chips, etc.)

Have a nice exercise, you're gonna make it (in a different way).
