Found a coat, shirt, and pants for cheap. Yet the tie sort of eludes me, that is a tie right? The more I look at it the more it seems more like a cravat. Also what would be a good substitute
for the buttons? Thinking of covering the buttons rather than replacing them. Thoughts/advice please?
Try /fa/, they deal with low effort outfit replication like this. Like holy shit this is just desperate levels of sad. The only thing that makes it cosplay is the fucking wig, how fucking mundane.
Post caps and share stories of itas or new lolitas saying dumb shit that makes you roll your eyes
This is a gothic dress that she called classic. Why can't new-litas tell the difference?
I have a story.
Going to a public meet with out group which typically is the meets itas go to. Sit down at the table and start up a conversation with a Lolita to make friends since I'm typically the one that reaches out to the newbies to help them out of they need someone. Girl is wearing baby the stars shine bright lucky pack dress set from two years prior. Pretty average looking for a Lolita but looks like she's done some reasearch and made a boring but passable cordinate. Tell her I have the same dress but I'm the black color. She gets excited that she's got the same dress as someone else in the community. I say " yeah baby the stars shine bright is one of my favorite brands". She gets a look on her face that looks almost annoyed and confused at the same time.
"Anon my dress isn't baby the stars shine bright" she says as she touches the hem. I get confused because there wasn't a replica made of the dress and ask her what brand it is.
"It's btssb" she says as if the abbreviation was a word. I try my hardest to contain my laughter and explain to her that it's actually B.T.S.S.B and is a abrevarion for baby the stars shine bright. She gets embarrassed at her newbie mistake and is quiet the whole day. She then later messaged me on Facebook to help her know the abreavtions of the brands and lingo of Lolita.

So, last thread is dead. Let's keep this up and running, and please, take your petty drama to Farm (Google for it):
- How do you guys avoid taxes?
- Any US based Shopping service to recommend?
- What do you think about handmade lolita in Brazil?
- Are you preparing a coord to Meeting Nacional?
- What do you miss in the national scene?
>How do you guys avoid taxes?
To avoid taxes I ask the seller to mark down the package and send it as a 'gift'. Doens't always work tho.
>What do you think about handmade lolita in Brazil?
Handmade can be a huge hit or miss, but I like to keep a eye on most stores. I like the work of Melikestea, Le Carrousel and Campanella. The later has recently taking blouses commissions if anyone is interested. I also think Lojinha da Ana Hel has some nice gems. Atelier Charmant intrigues me, I need to see more pieces by them to form a opinion.
Also I don't think I need to say this but stay away from Punkuloli shit, is plain bad. Bitch can't sew.
>What do you miss in the national scene?
I miss the forum, being able to talk and meet lolitas all over the country. It was well organized and we really discussed the fashion.
last thread is saging
for all your cringe ll/imas/indie dance group needs
well, this wasn't posted about last thread but it looks like stellure is trying to make merch now?
also, thread question: what do you think would make a majority of groups less shitty? i was enjoying the stellure critique jam after their pv came out
I find it funny how the cringe dance groups thread kind of just became an indie idol group thread.
> what do you think would make a majority of groups less shitty?
Aim lower and work on basics. Stellure is making a good example of aiming too high without working their way up. They need to be willing to put in a lot more practice and recording time to get the quality of the idols they want to be. More than that, the whole "anime idol" aesthetic. it's cute for promos and charms like these, but having actual wigs (especially cheap ones) just pushes it more into cringe area.
That being said, I do hope for Stellure to improve. Seeing girls go from ordinary to extraordinary is what makes idols idols.
Making your own Lolita for poor people.
Share patterns, give advice, see some stuff.
Made this last night, was wondering what people thought about sewing pearls to it. I have a couple strands of freshwater pearls and want to use them for something.
Unfortunately OP, >>9421962
is right. The colors you chose for this look horrible and the white contrast thread is a confusing choice. The tailoring looks poorly done as well, though that's hard to tell in a picture of this quality. If you want to make a dress with an empire waist, a pleated skirt, and bishop sleeves that's fine, but learn a little more about tailoring and color theory first, as well as specifics about obtaining the two classic lolita skirt shapes (bell and A-line). I don't think this would have made a proper a-line.

Please try to ignore/do not respond to obvious bait, more so as there may be an increasing influx of summerfags incoming.
I'm not too interested in knock offs, but I happened to find this while just browsing around on Aliexpress
Let's see them!

What do you do when a follower is acting really creepy toward you? I have a guy whose really obsessed with me through cosplay and let's play videos and I don't know how to deal with it. I get a letter to my po box for fan mail on occasion and Friday was the first time I got one that really scared me. The others were weird, but more or less harmless and kind of sweet, but this one set red flags. He said that he loved me more than anything and life wasn't worth living if I wasn't his, followed by a detailed description of his sexual fantasies about me. It was accompanied by a few dried rose petals and a little dolphin necklace. I think I know who it might be from, based on certain things he's said, handwriting, and other mannerisms he has. I'm so confused and don't even know where to start in dealing with this. Anyone else have any advice or have dealt with something like this?
This is a situation that you need to take to your local police department, not /cgl/. Stalking is a crime. Don't be the dumbass who gets hurt because she wants to be ~nice~ and not report it.
