Hi happy new year, RJ hit me like a train after I had "the talk" with my girlfriend about past relationship (she only got one relationship during 6 month at highschool, not a big deal you may say but you know what it is).
After 2 month of struggling with that condition i started to read 2 book about RJ and they helped me a lot (Retroactive Jealousy: Finally, I'm Out by Joshua Fletcher; Overcoming retraoctive jealousy by Zachary Stockill)
After 5 month of works I think I'm almost out from that s**t but something keeps me in it even if I'm much more better than some month ago.
My girlfriend lose her virginity with her "first boyfriend" even if it was to do like everybody an I understand it at 20 years old you want to experience sex. After all the works I have done like mindfulness, re-adjusting thoughts, obeserving the thoughts for what they really are forgiveness for her and myself etc... I can now observe the thoughts (if I have some) and feel nothing. But the last thing which keep me in is that she gave her virginity to her ex and without speaking about intrusive thoughts or something else I now that THIS HAPPENED and that's what is keeping me in.
Does any one have any suggestions ? How to get over that and finally beat that retroactive jealousy.

I've been in a relationship with this girl for 3 months now. I really like her and we love spending a lot of time together. We have a lot in common and never argue. Basically, on the emotional side of things the relationship is just great.
We also cuddle a lot for long times, give each other many kisses and hugs, say nice things etc. We started doing that almost immediately after we started dating.
However, I just cannot seem to get past that. Everytime we kiss, she pulls back / starts talking / starts another activity / goes home, after a couple of minutes. I never had a a makeout session with her longer than 5 minutes. When (literally) sleeping together, she either says straight away she's going to sleep or she just ignores my advances.
For me the physical part of a relationship is very important also and I am getting very frustated by this, I have needs too.
What should I do? I feel like the best/obvious answer is to just talk to her about it, however I just cannot see how that can make things better. Even if she wants to go further after me talking to her about it, won't it just feel incredibly forced then? I feel like she will just be doing it because I asked and might actually not want to do it herself.

Don't pressure her into fucking, obviously. Just see if sex is something she wants, or how long she needs to wait before feeling ready for sex.

I think the most normal approach you could take is to text a simple hey, how are you doing? and lead a conversation from there.
Ofc you could try to find random excuses for yourself to write her with a reason you write with her but if you just talk to her in a casual way then she will not be creeped out (unless you are already friends with her for years on social media and haven't had contact recently) aaand she will know that you actually just wanna chat and don't want something.

So a few months ago, I was involved with someone I really dug - younger than me but intellectually similar, just too emotionally immature, I felt, for a real relationship. She was in an open thing but realized she loved me and wanted to leave her boyfriend for me, which I ultimately told her not to, since I didnt think that would be the basis for a good relationship.
Since then I have started dating someone new. She's gorgeous, kind, and gets me out of my comfort zone. We've done all kinds of stuff I wouldn't ordinarily do. We get along great. We've been dating about two months now.
The problem is this new woman and I aren't intellectually compatible. Our politics are basically opposite (and politics are insanely important to me), and she believes whole-heartedly in a ton of things I think are absolutely retarded. She does tarot readings about our relationship; believes in alchemy; thinks she's smarter than everyone and can master any subject in a few mere weeks, doesn't understand the difference between a technical certification and a bachelors degree, and all these other sort of smlal-but-cumulatively-very-irritating characteristics. Talks about crystals and energy and uses 'quantum entanglement' to justify it all. I thought I could get over it all, but it really grates at me.
I still have a chance with the first girl. She knows I'm dating (and she is to) and still keeps talking to me. I fucking hate cheaters, having been cheated on, and I'm not gonna do that to this wonderful slightly kooky woman.
How important is intellectual compatibility, /adv/? I just don't know if I can see myself long term with someone so different, but I think it'd probably be a mistake to leave her for someone younger and emotionally immature.
Feeling very confused and kind of like an asshole for even thinking these things.

Just wandering what the mature/right approach is here.

I'm stuck with a dilemma. I have the option of studying abroad, but I cant seem to make a choice. I've narrowed it down to 2 options:
-Liverpool (John Moores University)
-Alabama (Troy University)
I like liverpool because it's closer to me (I'm Belgian), cheaper, and has a bigger nightlife. It's also a pretty big city.
However, i also like Troy, Alabama. I've always wanted to experience American college life, it's also much more of a culture shock. It's a lot more expensive and the Troy is a small town (20k), so i'm not sure about the nightlife.
What do i do, /adv/?
