I second this. The player may just be bored with the character and want to start a new one, but there's a good chance that they're contemplating suicide in-game because it's been on their mind in real life. Roleplaying is often a means of escape for those with depression. When one of the players starts contemplating suicide, in-game or otherwise, it's best to take it seriously.

The best way to describe it is that Fantasy was always the most "Young Adult" focused of the genres(LoTR was actually kind of the Twilight of its time), which led to said questionable writings standards plus a "appel lowest denominator" kind of attitude.

Here's the Sam Black list from SCG Classic Milwaukee. I'm a big fan of Sam's deckbuilding since his zombardment legacy deck, and he always seems to brew outside the box of existing deck archetypes. He really likes graveyard resourcing in every format and I do too

Op bump. I'm currently running gruul energy and I really want a better matchup post board against azorius. Thinking of splashing blue, but dispel/negate don't do anything to spell quellers unfortunately. Is there a good answer to spell queller in standard? (Better than say, void shatter? There's no 2 mana essence scatter atm)

I took a shitload of 1st level rituals (identification, comprehend languages, find familiar, detect magic) and am well aware I should avoid DC spells. Green-Flame Blade, Shield and Absorb Elements are a given.

I'm thinking it'll start becoming pretty bad at LV6. Which would be fine. I would probably be best to go Abjuration instead but eh, Divination makes more sense with the character and I love Portent (obviously).

Does the SCAG have any lore/info on Orcs? A player wants to be one when Volo's Guide comes out and he wanted to see what 5e already had on them. I sent him the info from the Monster Manual already but I wasn't sure if SCAG would have anything else he could read.

It is always acceptable to play a wild mage.

Consider these two alternatives.
First, each action is given a time completion value with a very small increment time to allow for small actions and make the system fluid. Actions specify whether their effects are applied at beginning, end, between our as a partial degree when using them. As time passes, anyone not currently in an action can start a new action. Second, a system that takes all turns and resolves them simultaneously each round.

But doesn't that defeat the purpose? The whole supposed "thing" with oversized weapons is that they hit like a truck, and cutting the weight only harms that.

If you take the Horus Heresy series by retcon library as canon you're going to have a bad time. If you want things to make sense go read Index Astartes or Collected Visions. Either way half the fluff contradicts itself anyway. Remember its a series of events with characters written in to get to there.

HH is written to resemble a tragic story of ancient times, the characters in it are like gods and angels of old. Plus it's W40k (30k I know...) so it's all turned up to 11. Just focus on the cool because if you will start pointing at the retarded decisions everything will crumble immiedately.

I mean, look, it all pretty much started because wlaking demigods of such incredible intelect that mere men cannot even begin to comprehend it started a terrible civil war and sided with demon gods because their dad either chastized them or didn't tell them something.
