***BIG NEWS FROM BATTLEFRONT***
>http://www.wwpd.net/2016/10/why-we-fight-ep-7-tanks-tracks-bang.html
V4 confirmed for March or April of 2017!
Things will be streamlined similar to TY, but it will certainly not be a TY copy.
They're still working on it, so any constructive comments they receive now will be taken into account (which is one of the reasons they're bringing this info forward now).
Book size will be similar to TY. A lot of the trimming down will be by not addressing every minute nuance/edge case in the main rules, shifting that online.
Current Early and Late War books will remain valid, virtually everything in them will still work fine.
There will be a LLW compilation at some point, which will follow V3 standards (and viable to use with V3 rules) but be written with V4 in mind.
Mid-War will be given a rework with TY-style unit cards and loads of plastics, starting with Brits/Germans then adding more NA stuff before going to the Eastern Front.
As with TY, cards will not be required, but they're looking at options to get them to players who want them because they already have the minis.
Release for this is intended to be at the same time as the Version 4 rules.
They've got two separate external rules writers working on converting Vietnam and AIW to Team Yankee rule system, and will be including new forces in there as well.
This includes the Yom Kippur War.
Points values for this will be another era, basically Early Cold War, but 'nam and AIW will be fully compatible.
Also, plastic Hueys in the pipeline.
They do intend to make purchases in Forces not wasted, probably by giving you the new V4 version of a list if you bought the V3 version.

>They're still working on it, so any constructive comments they receive now will be taken into account
So where do we make these constructive comments? Because I somehow doubt they're looking at us.
Opinion asked for. Six T-35s, 3 BT-7As, One KV-1 Obr 1939, HMG Portees, Katyushas and I-153s.
Does anyone here remember/know what happened to BugWorld? I really enjoyed all the threads and it felt like it was going somewhere, when it suddenly just died off.
Also if anyone has more of the art PR made that would be great. I only saved this image
I've never heard of this in my life, enlighten me
>>49920652
Like everything else on /tg/, without (you) to keep it going, it died. You're the reason it died, OP.
>>49920652
It petered out, like Lost Source or InfiniCon or any other projects of collective brilliance.
I think that some sort of like dedicated restoration project for /tg/'s most promising concepts would be a worthwhile time investment with the right people behind it.
Engine Heart could do it, so why can't we?

So what spells do you all think are going to get Magus forms?
How do you want your Set Commanders, senpai?
What does /tg/ think about this new Custodes vehicle from FW?
>>49979498
Looks good
Still waiting on the hover landraiders and rhinos for them as well though.
>>49979498
I don't understand why they gave it a Taudar aesthetic. It looks alright, just doesn't work. Radial, too.
>>49979498
Looks like a Star Wars Fighter Tank fucked a Sicaran.
When a GM presents their campaign setting for their new game, which of these is the worst option:
>The GM's game setting is bog-standard medieval high-fantasy set in a faux Europe with woodland elves, orc hordes, wizard towers, and dwarf mines. Effectively indistingushable from Dragonlance or Forgotten Realms, save a bunch of new proper nouns to learn and a new map.
>The GM has set out to avoid "generic fantasy" as hard as possible, resulting in every imaginable convention being arbitrarily turned on its head. The setting has elves and dwarves, but THESE Elves all pilot magitek mechs, and THESE dwarves all live in floating airships. Setting may or may not have another genre layered on top of high fantasy, like "Post Apocalyptic" or "Gaslamp Fantasy," but the party will still go dungeon delving at the end of the day.
>The GM's setting is "self-aware." He'a set out to deconstruct all the "tropes" he can, often with some comment about "what if the implications of X in a fantasy setting were taken to their logical conclusion." People are probably assholes, but monsters are probably misunderstood.
>The GM's game is set in a "dark fantasy" world. The peasants are all dying of plague, the nobility is all greedy and inbred, the elves are bloodthirsty cannibals, and the magic is vaguely Lovecraftian. Gods are either distant or dead. Paladins will definitely end dead too, given a few sessions.
>The GM's setting is 'WACKY!' He probably calls it "Gonzo." The gnomes ride two-headed cats and the wizards all have fairies living in the beards that give them magic and someone will probably make a Monty Python joke every session, because it's SUPPOSED to be silly, man!
>>49976089
What settings do you like then anon?
>The GM's setting is "self-aware." He'a set out to deconstruct all the "tropes" he can, often with some comment about "what if the implications of X in a fantasy setting were taken to their logical conclusion." People are probably assholes, but monsters are probably misunderstood.
This one. The others are at the very least well-intentioned, but deconstructionalism is always a prelude to moralizing, and moralizing is never conducive to good roleplaying.
>>49976089
Self-Aware setting, followed by the anti-generic fantasy setting. I hate those smarmy assholes who think that they're being clever and innovative by not adhering to any sort of conventions, but don't realize that they're actually ruining it by removing all the substance and replacing it with contrarianism.
They never stop to think that maybe somethings become tropes and common stereotypes because they were actually engaging and entertaining story mechanics, and that if you can't replace with something at least equally as good, you shouldn't replace it at all. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it)
This is your paladin tonight.

W-wow anon, thanks that's cool and all but...do you have anything less Weeaboo in stock?! Perhaps a crusader model or something?
What are the deal with these guys? How could someone armed with only anti-psyker weaponry end up killing Tau or other non-psykers?
>>49967647
I don't know, just looking at that gloriously insane motherfucker I don't have a hard time believing he can kill pretty much anything he puts his mind to.
>>49967647
>What are the deal
>are

>>49967647
Culexus assassins are trained/modified to focus their nullification effect to the point where it can destroy people's souls. They can literally kill with a touch and that weird ocular tube on their helmet is basically a gun that shoots that green flash spell from Harry Potter.

Previous shitposting (currently rolling for stats!) >>49965132
Simple question: what's your favorite familiar that you've been allowed to play with, either by rules or DM benevolence. Martials need not respond.
Don't bother continuing your silly discussion about rolling for stats over. I already solved stat rolling for you 2 years ago with the invention of 6d20 down the line. Then I solved it again for you pansies too scared to roll up a suboptimal character with the "roll 3 then flip" method. All the other discussions are pointless, because they deal with suboptimal methods like 4d6 drop lowest, or 3d6, or even 8d2, etc.
>>49973988
the fuck are you talking about
>>49973988
Holy shit the arrogance.
>As you sit at the table and begin to make your character, the DM tells you that the world you are about to enter into is much more lethal than normal
>You get your class hit die at first level, but after that you only get your CON bonus to HP when you level up
How do you handle that /tg/?
Don't get hit.

we try to look at ourselves objectively and see what class or archetype we identify with most, along with some nice art to go with it.
i have to say Thief.
i have a history of shoplifting that lasted about a year before i got caught in a clothing store, but i swear i must gotten away with around $700 worth of stuff.
im very hesitant to get into a confrontation or physical fight and will avoid it if i can. especially if i know nobody or few people will now i chose to run.
it may go against my point because rogues/thieves are generally charismatic, but i can be very socially inept so im working on making eye contact and speaking confidently.
Valor bard. I've been a singer/actor in productions most of my life and have worked a lot of odd jobs over the years in construction and kitchens building up those STR and CON numbers.

I personally hate how the salamanders are universally viewed as negro space marines, rather then space marines who have had their skin turn coal black due to their gene seed mutation.

Celestial Lions are the negro marines
I personally hate how the blood angels are universally viewed as vampire space marines, rather then space marines who have had developed literal thirst for blood due to their gene seed mutation.
