Does this game actually have sexy Halloween witches?
Yes I know that's Mercy.
>>50010477
It might. Nothing stops you.
>>50010477
I have a Sin-eater concept that's a spooky Halloween witch. Her Geist is basically the Witch from Wizard of Oz. She dresses like a gothy type, with a zip up leather corset over a white off-the-shoulder blouse, a ruffled skirt, long black and orange stockings, and some kitten heel Mary Janes. Top it all off with an old fashioned tree branch broom used like a walking stick, and a Deathmask witch hat.
Of course, this being Geist, she's also usually carrying a tool belt of ghostbusting equipment, and has scarification and tattoos on both shoulders. And the blouse is a Casket Jacket charm, hand sewn from the lining of a coffin.I really need to make a reference for the draw threads.
Elegan/t g/gentlemen, I need some cyberpunk adventure plot twists, something better than
>the megacorporation was the good guy all along!
Hit me with your strangest ideas.

Everything is Dragons. Everything.
The CEO of the corporation? Dragon.
The Not-Pope? Dragon.
The guy pouring you drinks? Dragon.
The waitress at the restaurant? Dragon.
The cab Driver? Dragon.
The traffic cop who pulls you over because you were speeding? Dragon.
The guy who owns and rus the seedy hotel? Dragon.
The stripper/call girl the party hires? Dragon.
The janitor? Dragon.
You go the vending machine to get a drink, the drink is Dragon.
The can is Dragon, and so is the vnding machine.
The Dragon is a Dragon.
>>49998351
Dragons aren't cyberpunk, dude.
>>49998351
You buy a hotdog, but you get a Dragon.
You look up to complain, only to be face to face with a thirty foot long Dragon.
You panic and run to drive away in your car.
Except you can't because the car is a Dragon.
You run to your parents house to get them away from the Dragons.
But your parents are Dragons. Also, you are adopted. By Dragons.
The police are Dragons, the Firemen are Firedragons. The EMT's in the Ambulances are Dragons.
The Ambulances are also Dragons.

Does anybody have pdfs of the Zodiac Empires campaign setting and player's hand book for 5e and Pathfinder?

I've been looking for an online scan of Slugs from Lamentations of the Flame Princess for a while now but I can't find a pdf yet.
>An rpg is, by definition, about creating an interesting character and acting out his decisions in an interesting manner.
>D&D is about creating an optimised character and making tactical decisions from the perspective of an outside force. It was intended to be a skirmish wargame where each player only has 1 character, not an rpg.

Are this lands any good, /tg/?
There's this guy at my LGS that sells sets of the complete cycle for 20$ and I'm tempted to buy them, but I don't know if they are worth it
20 is too much. It'd be like $12-$13 for the whole set.
They are worse than Fastlands, mechanically speaking.
They are very useful for Standard, but probably outclassed for Modern.
Complete playset for 20$ of all 5 lands good deal...they are better then fastlands...

/tg/craft is a minecraft server devoted to fostering a friendly enviroment to fantasy roleplay. The version is 1.8.9., but due to the compatibility plugin you can also play on 1.9 and 1.10.
It uses Towny plugin to enable players to create their own settlements.
-There is crackshot which enables players to create muskets, pistols and dwarven flamethrowers.
-There is a magicspells plugin which enables players to use spells. The plugin has been config'd so that the cast-item for all spells is the blaze_rod and instead of mana, it uses lapis lazuli.
-There is a brewery plugin which allows players to brew special drinks, for roleplay and for buffs.
-There is a plugin which alters plant growth rate per biome, and disables underground farms (except for mushrooms).
-There is a plugin to make yourself a vampire or fight against them using Vampire by massivecraft
-There is a plugin to have blocks as hats, as well as placeable breads
Admins will create dungeons, which will hold BBEGs which must be defeated in order for adventurers to be capable of looting the ancient knowledge of spells and the arcane contained within - as well as some unique items created by RPGitems.
The current dungeon is the Accursed_Tower of the Necromancer, who is plotting to cause an eternal night and is frequently sending out his minions to harrass the living.
At this point in time pvp has been enabled, but wars are not being declared briefly until further notice.
General Rules:
1. No combat hacks.
2. No spamming, cringe, /pol/posting, memeposting or attentionwhoring.
3. No griefing, trolling, or abuse - light banter is fine, downright personal insults is not.
4. No alts.
Featured is the town of lynsk, trade hub of the server

GM's and players, tell us about your favorite NPC's. What made them so special?
>>50022244
A Succubus that was kicked out of the Abyss for deflowering a virgin sacrifice one too many times. In addition, she's cursed by a greater demon and is now restricted to gaining sustenance ONLY from virgins past a certain age. She also runs a number of taverns in a number of cities and routinely teleports between them, but maintains a single consistent disguise so that it appears every tavern has one identical barmaid. She does this primarily to widen her feeding pools, but also to screw with people because it entertains her.
Her actual purpose is to help feed the PCs information on devils and demons as a contact or a minor trickster type antagonist should they choose to smite.I have never gotten an opportunity to run this NPC in an actual game.

Discuss and compare lists for Warhammer 40k Kill Team, the link to the official PDF (rules only) is in the OP picture.
Heralds of Ruin rules here:
http://heralds-of-ruin.blogspot.com/
Is there any tried-and-tested wau of beating horde spam in Kill Team? My friends play a Chaos Cultist swarm, an ork boy mob with gretchin and a trukk, and a genestealer cult respectively. Plenty of bodies, attacks and wounds on the board, and its impossible to actually get kills due to ablative wounds being discounted.
Is there some sensible way to overcome this, as my experience with flamers hasn't helped much, and I don't want to just be forced to swarm fire warriors and kroot to counter it.
>>50011724
Okay, I'm dropping into a new kill team league and I really want to make some good, special-looking models to use for it. I honestly don't care which army I pick, just so long as there's some cool models (and preferably interesting rules) to work with. Here's what I'm thinking so far;
>Space Marines: 5 Vanguard, 5 Scouts, Cloaks, Rocket Launcher, Combi-Gun
>Scions: 11 Scions w/ 2 Volley Guns, 2 Meltaguns
>Skitarii: 10 Vanguard, 1 Dragoon, 3 Arc Rifles
>Daemons: 10 Bloodletters, 5 Fleshhounds, Bloodreaper, Lesser Reward
>Deldar: 10 Reavers, 3 Blasters, 2 Grav-Talons
>Eldar: 10 Dire Avengers, 5 Howling Banshees
>Legion of the Damned: 8 Legionnaires
>Necrons: 11 Warriors, 3 Tomb Blades, 3 Shadowlooms
>Chaos Marines: 5 Bezerkers, 5 Marines, Lascannon
Any other suggestions? I'd prefer 5+ models, but whatever is cool.
On that note, what's the most fun way to play? Lots of guys, few, guys, something inbetween?
>>50011724
Depends on what you play but if you play Space Marines I would try frag grenades. Since everyone is a separate unit everyone can now throw their grenades in the shooting phase.
What is your favorite system for superhero games?
How do you go about making a character? Their powers?
Tell us about your settingBut seriously, no hero world bullshit that clogs up the thread.
>>50011200
>What is your favorite system for superhero games?
Hero system just because its in-depth power defining satisfy my autism.
>How do you go about making a character? Their powers?
My GM read some kind of web novel called Worm and used the power generation method for a fan system. So basically we tell him the most horrible thing in the person's life+some and then the other group members deliberate what type of power the person would get (he printed out cheat sheets for what trigger gets what power classification). Kind of barbaric but has ended with more power variety than any other supers group I've played with.
>Tell us about your setting
My GM's set it up in Brocken bay or something. Said its from Worm. Seems like a pretty interesting setting, lots of detail.
>>50011200
I've never played a superhero rpg...
The only superhero tabletop game I've played is SENTINELS OF THE MULTIVERSE, which was pretty good actually.
>>50011200
My go-to generic system for a superhero game would be Fate Core with the Venture City Stories stuff. I'd love to get to play Masks, but it's much more focused on emulating something like Young Justice or Teen Titans, and my group isn't really interested.
What's the difference between a rune priest of the space wolves and a psycher? The emperor said no to psychers but they still had active rune priests.
A writer oversight?
>>50033012
One has a knotted dick
>>50033012
This is common knowledge.
They basically argued that their rune priests aren't psykers but instead drew power from nature/fenris. And it was let slip because space wolves were meant to be the chapter to police other chapters, and them turning would be too much of a pain in the ass to deal with.

FW custom stompa, any other option is just overcosted.
Why do Space Marine players complain that the variant Chapters like DA, BA, SW don't have access to the same stuff as Codex SM?
I most often hear this complaint from BA players who want Centurions, the other flyers or the Landspeeder Storm.
It just doesn't really make a lot of sense to me for two reasons: (1) none of those things really contribute to the Blood Angels play style and tactics, furious charge on centurions?! (2) you can always ally them in if you really want them.
It's like you want all the benefits of the Blood Angels unique stuff but then you want all the SM goodies too, can't have it both ways.

Slithering Tracker Edition
What dark rituals commonly occur in your games?
Is the revisited Ranger supposed to be balanced? Like favored enemy & natural explorer just seem to be too good for lv1 class features. Compare that to pretty much any other class features accessible at 1st level and it's just ridiculous.
I know the base class was bad, but that revision just seems pretty busted
>>50028827
Would a wizard with a spell list mostly limited to illusions, enchantments, divinations, and a few other typical effects work well as a sort of Psion class?
As far as I've heard the existing psionic rules are kind of weird, so I was wondering if simply refluffing would be easier.
What's your experience with roll20 and/or play by post forums? Do you use or frequent them?
Was the whole War of the Beast essentially the Ork slowly evolving back into the Krork?
>>50024482
not unless the Beast was being directed by Snotlings
>>50024482
The series says that the Orks were evolving to a nearly whole different species. Ork Castes that were no ordinary in the norm of Ork society started to appear )Priests, Diplomats, etc). The Orks technologically surpassed the Imperium, and their psychic power could be felt all over the galaxy.
However, it should be noted that despite all of this, the series pushes the point that the Orks are just a distraction and that the real threat is lurking within the darkness between stars, its laughter echoing across the galaxy, its hunger for human souls knowing no limit.
People had debates on what the heck is this mysterious threat. personally, I think it's the Tyranids.
>>50024779
Isn't it always chaos?
Can we discuss this guy?
LotFP is a great system. It takes the best of the OSR and modernizes it somewhat; it has its own unique style, gorgeous art (although it sometimes crosses the line unnecessarily), it's fucking good.
But this guy is bonkers. Seriously, I don't get him. I'm not even talking about the edgyness, I'm talking about gameplay here.
Take Tower of the Stargazer, for example. Okay, when you go up to the door and use the handle instead of the knocker, you get poisoned and must save or die. Fair enough. I can see that coming. But there's some wine inside of the tower that will make you save-or-die. And there's no warning, at all. It's literally undetectable. This bottle is next to perfectly good other bottles.
There's also the telescope that takes quite a lot of work to get working. If you do, it teleports you into space, where you die. No save. I get the whole 'curiosity is dangerous'. But fuck, all you're going to do is make players unwilling to touch absolutely anything and make you waste pages upon pages of objects and flavor.
Or the trapped wizard, who at first puts on an act of being perfectly friendly. It's kinda obvious that you should not free him, but you CAN free him. If you do, he either kicks the party out or kills them. And the adventure ends.
He actually playtests this shit? Has he ever played TotS and had the party free the wizard? What does he do when the adventure ends 15 minutes from the start?
I guess I'm just frustrated at how good his stuff could be if he wasn't such a cock and a psychopath DM. Shit should be deadly, but you should at least telegraph deadly. If the players can't possibly tell they're going to get killed by something, you might as well roll a die every fifteen minutes to see if they suddenly die.
It's weird to me that you play LotFP, think it's good and don't "get" LotFP.
>>50012117
Welcome to old school D&D inspired by Tomb of Horrors.
The idea is not to accomplish the adventure with a character you put deep thought into and which has a great backstory, its about accomplishing the adventure at all while possibly burning through a whole stable of adventurers where most will die or be crippled into uselessness.
>>50012182
This, its working as intended, you don't stop the adventure because your character died, make another dimwit doomed fool and send him to his death too.
