Does your party have a support crew? A couple of key NPCs that assist the players from the sidelines with minutiae and small business? Let's hear about them.
>followers
Not really, even though deathwatch system allows it. I was thinking about giving one DA player a watcher in the dark at some point, but coincidentally causality rate of DA or their descendants is so high the DA quietly took interest in the issue.

>Necron Has Joined Your Party Edition
That actually happened - our radical inquisitor cut a deal with necrons and allowed his bodyguard who went insane be transformed into one.
>>49956966
Are you mentally fucking retarded?
Why would you start a new thread without linking the old one? I didn't know they let people in mental institutions have access to the internet but it's the only explanation for such a fucking idiot on the board.
>>49914384
>setting takes place in what is the equivalent of the late medieval period
>no guns anon you can have a crossbow
Why are fantasy settings for scared of guns?
Reason 1: Because Tolkien didn't romanticise them.
Reason 2: Modern tabletop players are pussified millennials scared of firearms.
Reason 3: Guns render martial melee classes obsolete.
>>50020593
1 & 2 I agree with, but 3 is a little iffy.
I'm sure you could work with flintlocks with them being too op. They're basically one shot and then 3 min of reloading, and they have a pretty good chance of missing, or misfiring if the conditions aren't right. Heck, they could basically act like a non magical, less powerful but reusable, fighter/ranger equivalent of a scroll.
>>50020684
Without* them being too op. Goddammit fingers
The Tarrasque has a base speed of 40 ft.. When it runs, it can cross a distance of 200 ft. in one round, which is six seconds. Converted to meters, it can run 60.96 meters in six seconds. That is 10.16 meters per second.
Usain Bolt runs 10.44 meters per second. Ergo, humans can outrun a chasing tarrasque.

How have you been outsmarted by the fey, or how have you outsmarted the fey?
Anons? Would-be homebrewer here trying to ge the hang of crafting feats for 5e... tell me, would you consider this feat overpowered?
Feat: Draconic Mutt
In your veins flows the lineage of not one but two different kinds of dragon, and although initially one dominated, the other has awoken through your constant tapping of your ancestral power.
Prerequisite: Draconic Ancestry trait
Effect: Choose a second breed of dragon from the Draconic Ancestry list. You now count as descending from both this type of dragon and your original selection for terms of determining other traits affected by your Draconic Ancestry. This includes the Damage Resistance and Breath Weapon of Dragonborn (although a Dragonborn can still only use its Breath Weapon once per short rest) and the Elemental Affinity of Draconic Bloodline Sorcerers.
Durable feat benefit:
+1 CON, so that's half of an Ability Score Increase.
The other half is situationally more HP during short rests per hit die, benefiting a low HD character with either very high or very low CON, and with diminishing results for all other classes. If you are playing a martial with an average constitution score, you will benefit very little from the second half of durable.

Fair Folk Edition
How do I play Fair Folk in my game? I managed to avoid the temptation to do the shitty 4th wall breaking I was originally going to do after reading up on the fair folk, but I'm still not super sure of myself.
>>49999409
The Fair Folk play a role to the point of madness. You have the guys playing at court intrigue, the guys playing at being gallant knights (despite not actually helping anyone, obviously), the ones playing the boogieman role, etc.
>>50000128
How does a "Mortal with Graces" work? One of the major plot NPCs in my game is a god-blood who has been warped and given herself over to the Wyld, gaining a number of Raksha shaping abilities in the process, with the Motivation of "Gain the adoration of the crowds through song", being essentially a pop star.
Soggy Ronin Edition.
How do you like your villains tg?
FIlthy Maho users? Duty-torn Samurai?
Do we have any news from FFG concerning the overall status of L5R?
>>49989053
They're launching the L5R LCG at Gencon next year. I don't think we've heard anything about the RPG, though it's FFG that sells the pdfs and such online now.
Are mortals powerless and useless in Exalted?
>>49952315
Compared to exalted, yes, but still a legitimate threat.
>>49952315
Not useless, they can hold dots in things like Bureaucracy and Sail for you so you can spend your XP on getting all 500 Solar Hero charms instead.
>>49952315
Most people in the real world aren't special ops super assassins trained to hone their body to a lethal killing machine either. They still manage to be the ones, you know, running 99 percent of shit.
No Specific Subject Edition
I'm not feeling creative.

It's seriously a good sourcebook to read.
Quick, /tg/, tell me about a god from your setting. I don't care which one. I just need some good ideas to steal.
>Ictinike the Star-Devourer
Ictinike is one of Lolth's coven (the scribe) and a member of one of the four ruling palaces of the drow gods.
She's a big oathkeeper in drow society: you can swear an oath in a temple of Ictinike supervised by one of her priestesses and then if you break the oath later shadow spiders will crawl out of the shadows around you and devour you. It's used pretty often to create reliable contracts for the drow, although some people have gotten around breaking it by living the rest of their lives in places without shadows. In general she's associated with law, writing, temporary light, commerce, insular madness and ghosts.
Sacrifices to Ictinike have this sadistic element of time where the sacrifice will be forced to make an oath and then manipulated over say, a year or decade into particularly ironic circumstances of breaking it. She prefers unwilling sacrifices for this in common with the other less militant goddesses of the coven.
Ictinike is an inherited elf god (which is why she retains some reference to astral phenomena) but seems to prefer the drow. When she's sculpted or manifests she's portrayed as a freakishly tall, elongated drow woman with spiderlike eyes and no mouth, hands or feet: her limbs all terminate in sharp points. Sometimes she's depicted as being hunchbacked or having a spiderlike abdomen.
When she needs to be manually dextrous she puppets a servant or corpse with spiderweb strings. These puppets can only communicate by gesture though, so if Ictinike or her avatar want to communicate verbally they'll impale a priestess with one spiky limb and assume direct control of her body. This is seen as a pretty great honour in her church and by no means the end of a priestess' career - a lot of the senior ranks of Ictinike's clergy are ghosts or undead who've previously been used for this ritual.
With Space marines just how super do you like to imagine them? 'merely' the best of the best of the best, or literal walking gods of death.
My personal headcannon is they they are closer to captain America or Big Boss then superman or Goko in power level. They are basically just what a normal human could be at his physical and mental peak, the stuff about a single marine killing a thousand Demons, bare handed really is just hyperbole and propaganda.
Not only is that closer to their actual Stat block line (both in the war game and role-playing game) I like the image of idea of mankind's greatest defenders still being fundamentally 'just' human.
>>50017929
Physically they're more than human.
Mentally they're equal, though since they have a lot of physical advantages they can live long enough to gain more tactical-level experience than 99% of ordinary soldiers.
That doesn't make them gods, but a special-forces level veteran who is wearing vehicle-scale armor and never sleeps or tires can probably do a good impression against unsupported grunts.
>>50018038
The extended life expectancy would probably make a big difference then most people would give it credit.
A veteran space marine would have literally centuries of experience then even a legendary Guardsman. Not necessarily wiser but still can't be understated.
That said they are plenty of Imperial Guardsman hero units that outshine a 'base line' space marine mentally and sometimes even physically, both in the crunch and occasional fluff. So the idea of them merely Be so the idea of them 'merely' prime specimens of humanity suits that.
>>50017929
Primarchs are more comparable to walking gods of death, but below them I would call space marines not superhuman but posthuman. As >>50018038 said, they don't have a fundamental gap in brainpower save the one that arises from more experience, but their ability to physically actuate whatever they want is always at least one degree beyond whatever the most fit natural human can fathom. Captain America is an interesting standard to me because he's more what I imagine space marine adepts to be like as they grow to fill the limits of human potential, before they are reshaped into wholly different organisms.
Find a flaw, gue'la.
