Where can I find in depth information about inflatable boats? Particularly recreation ones, for chilling on a river or lake. Not so much the navy seal zodiak ones, but those are bitchin' too. Not sure the differences.

Can these be stored in a truck bed? Or do you need a trailer? How do you inflate them? Are you a goner if you scrap rocks and puncture them?

Browsing manufacturers websites aren't helping much.

hey /n/, what kind of attire do you usually bike in? Including shirt, pants/shorts, shoes, and any kind of bag/backpack? And does it change based on your riding situation, like commute for work vs. leisure?

I just wear the same plain white t-shirt and plain black basketball shorts with a black Jansport SuperBreak backpack and some kind of black shoes (usually sneakers or running) so that bike grease won't affect them. The same thing whether commuting or leisure

But sometimes I see people biking in a full suit and think its pretty cool. Then I see the Lycra suit wearing faggots

>football players wearing lycra is utilitarian
>wrestlers wearing unitards is utilitarian
>MMA dudes wearing speedos? utilitarian
>cyclists wearing lycra is gay

Have you considered the possibility that you are simply an idiot?

To answer your question, what I wear depends on the weather, my intended ride, and my plans for the day. If I'm going to go out for a serious ride, I wear cycling shorts & jersey. If I'm biking somewhere to do something, I wear things that are slim-fit, quick-drying, and very breathable while looking like normal street clothing.

Anything made of cotton is a no-go.

The first gen ones were made of Scandium and were the tits! Haven't seen the aluminum ones in person, but the builds look decent for the price.

Before you buy, have you looked at the new 2017 Roadhouse and Wheelhouse?

whats the point of a cycling jersey? I just bought pic related type clothes for much cheaper and its comfortable + stays dry and easy to wash

the only "cycling gear" ive ever really invested in is a good pair of cycling underwear with a pad. i went on a 120km bike ride and got bad saddle sores which prompted that purchase.

For today's 4.5 hour ride I took 2 bottles, plus the equivalent of 3 more in my trunk bag and still had to fill a bottle up in the park on the way home. The first 2 miles of a gravel road I went down was nasty. There was a dirt dump and numerous semis passing kicking up huge plumes of dust. A dirt road I went down didn't have much traffic since the last rain, so the surface was dry and cracked. That stuff crumbles when riding over it and eats a lot of speed.

I hope to be a transportation planner when I graduate. Just a little nervous I'll need to attend grad school to do so. Right now majoring in Geography and Urban Studies.

Picture is a proposed plan for an early rail system for the Twin Cities area.

I don't even want to name my city, it's embarrassing:

This past month's controversy was a proposal to reduce two quiet old boulevards that bisect a large college campus from 4 lanes down to 2. Traffic studies show there's not enough total traffic to need 4 lanes, and reducing them could improve sidewalks, improve the bus stops, AND make room for a bike lane - and this is a mostly residential neighborhood too other than the section that runs through the college.

Sounds great right?
NO. WE CANNOT HAVE NICE THINGS. EVERYONE MUST DRIVE CARS EVERYWHERE FOR ALL TRIPS.

>"residents won't be able to conveniently drive downtown [two miles] south because the streets will be clogged by cars waiting for pedestrians and buses"
So I asked the guy who said this to me, so you'd be unwilling to drive .75 miles out of the way to get on the highway two blocks over that goes downtown? Or ride your bike on the nice new bike lanes that lead downtown? Or ride the bus that will be more convenient then ever and allow you to skip any parking hassle?
>"NO. And it's ridiculous that the city should spend any money to worry about those college students who can't manage to use the existing crosswalks without looking both ways to make sure there are no cars coming, make the college pay for under/overpasses instead"

Electric airplanes will be much more common in the future. They are great for situations that have a limited range such as initial pilot training.

How many miles is a trip going to be?

So I like to ride... Differently. This is my daily bike. I use it to travel around my city, and aside from that:

Single Track
Skate Parks
The dirt jumps my LBS set up for MTBers.

Anybody else take part in that kind of riding on a cross bike? Usually I leave fenders on it. Never had any trouble with clearance or anything.
