Why is it that people only ever talk about cav vs kittel when this handsome German man has been winning about 10 grand tour stages a year for the last 4 years? Most consistent and most humble sprinter of this generation? Probably.

He has such great focus, to watch a man of his size climb a mountain and stay with the peloton is actually fucked.
>>

Why does he look like he just got a catheter installed?
Also, Cav has raw talent and personality, this guy only has what you can buy.
>>
>>985414
Yeah, and he was in the break this tour to work for De Gendt or Van Avarmaet. If I'm remembering correctly, he also was in a break at a spring classic (Tour of Flanders? It might have been Kittel) which is cool. Nice to see sprinters not just sprinting or slowly climbing

Why do cagers love murdering people so much?

>my city a few days ago
>guy in fancy car runs a stopsign in pedestrian heavy area
>(a few years ago a car driver murdered a 3 year old child at this same intersection pulling the same shit this car did)
>guy in fancy car strikes skater, causing him to fall off his board
>cager has the gall to yell at skater
>skater administers swift justice

STOP means STOP

So often do I have to watch cars run reds, totally ignore stop signs, stop to idle in the middle of a bike lane, turn without looking, not to mention the bikes lanes we do have are in the door zone of streetside parking and cagers pull in or out without looking. If I didn't always assume the worst of cagers as a cyclist OR pedestrian I would be dead.

>Why do cagers love murdering people so much?

I know where you're coming from, i do. I deal with the same bullshit, it makes me mad too. Driving cars is such a widespread and ingrained thing though that hating 'cagers' just makes you a misanthrope. There are assholes period, it's not a vehicle specific thing. Plus we all make mistakes and act badly sometimes. Try not to be so angry and persecuted about it.
>>
I push twin babies in a stroller around a major US city and cagers look directly at me coming across the pedestrian walkway... then gun it right in front of us. They simply cannot wait. They are too important

Did the cager just drive away leaving his copilot behind?

regarding lycra shorts on casual mtb ride, it actually isnt a good choice since the durability factor is shit for the bibs so baggy really is the practical choice, MX tops are straigh up retarted though

Honestly I don't think asking about a kickstand is that big a deal. They're kinda nice if you do a lot of random stop and go for whatever reason.

I've seen too many people destroy the paint and even dent or straight up crush their chainstays with them. Plus imo they only belong on something like cruisers or cheaper hybrids, and shouldn't be on anything nice.

Anyone else record their commutes?

I'm thinking about getting a couple of these Kodak Cubes, one front and one rear

I figure it's only a matter of time before I'll need to sue a dumb cager for texting while operating a cage, and a $99 investment may provide me with income for the rest of my life

Is this a reasonable choice or should I just get a couple of previous-generation GoPros? The GoPros can hold more video but my ride is only about an hour and I'm not sure if it's worth the tradeoff in bulk

I use a Cycliq Fly6, neat little camera integrated into a rear light.

Auto over-writes data so I never need to manually delete old videos. It also has an auto shut off function is the bike is put on it's side for more than 15 seconds(so the camera doesn't stay on indefinitely and eventually overwrite crash data if a cager murders you.)

Downsides... It's heavy as fuck, and only 6 hour battery life.

A possibility of placing a city rail (considering its parameters, it's more like tram) over the river what goes across the whole city instead of crowded streets. Of 13.3 kilometers, 10 is over the river - while the river is not suitable for water transport, it is kinda used as a transport corridor.

We had a topic about narrow gauge railways, but how about broad gauge railways? I'd understand why India still using it (to maximize passengership capacity), but there's the russian gauge, iberian gauge, even some railways in the US uses broad gauge as well

It doesn't really help maximize passenger capacity. You can have the same loading gauge with standard gauge tracks, without any speed restrictions because of it. Apparently standard gauge is like the widest gauge that makes sense and anything wider is just for shits and giggles since it doesn't really offer any benefit. Just an inheritance from times when all of this wasn't standardized yet.

I live in Spain where we have glorious broad gauge. I've always found it pretty badass how wide tracks are, you really notice the difference from standard gauge. Where I'm at in Catalonia there's always talk of re-gauging and whatnot, they say it's for better connection to France, but it's all bullshit, they're just butthurt because they hate anything that's somehow associated with Spain. The HSR network was already built to standard gauge and allows for through trains to France, although the one international line that we have which is a mixed freight/passengerHSR line cost gorillions to build and has been a complete and utter failure so far for lack of train traffic. Standard gauge makes sense for international freight trains, but there's so little rail freight in Spain that you don't need any more std gauge other than the main freight lines, such as along the mediterranean coast. Other than that, for suburban and regional trains there's literally no benefit in regauging.

In Barcelona we also have a broad gauge subway line. When it was built in the 1920's the idea was that it would allow mainline trains to run between different termini. This never happened, but we ended up with a broad-gauge subway that has a mainline-sized loading gauge. The cars are fuckhueg for a subway. Based af tbqhwy familia.

In the south of Spain, in Cádiz, they're putting the finishing touches on a new tram-train, the first of its kind in Spain since it will run on mainline tracks. This means that it also has iberian gauge. I guess that makes it the tram with the widest gauge anywhere in the world, right?
