Let's hope this thread takes off
Whatcha flyin', bros and babes? How many hours ya got? Are ya going for any new certifications? Are you stuck on the ground for whatever reason? Will /gag/ ever have a pastebin?
This thread is as dead as the general aviation community
Stuck on the ground because of weather. Delaware is not the best place to be right now.
Been studying my ass of for the exams, so there's a plus.

I just come here to post samolyets axaxaxaxa
I know relatively little about this game. My MUPs have been way more crowded over the past week which is fine with me but I'm worried about the trails. I didn't see anyone standing around on the singletrack but I've read posts about it happening. Is there some sort of safety built in the game to keep streets and trails free of pokemons? Kids and weebs will prob have headphones on and not hear me coming. I'm scared I'm gonna hit someone.

>Is there some sort of safety built in the game to keep streets and trails free of pokemons?
No not really
You're just going to have to be the attentive one and watch out for the players
This thread reminded me though
I have one other concern about the newfound prevalence of Pokemon Go. Who else gets scared cycling on the road now because of people playing Pokemon and driving? I'm nervous that people are just gonna be idiots about safety with this game until somebody actually fucking dies because of a Pokemon player.
Yeah, I smell some lawsuits coming. Are you legally responsible if you hit a pedestrian while biking on a trail?
>>982756
People have already died because of the game, some kid fell off a bridge I think
Can anyone identify the trains in this picture?

Cagers.
>the mother of the Olympic gold medallist Chris Boardman has been killed in a cycling accident.
>Carol Boardman died in the early hours of Sunday morning, after being knocked off her bike by a pick-up truck yesterday, North Wales police said.
>Her son Chris, who took gold in the individual pursuit at the 1992 Olympics, paid tribute to his mother, saying that the family "cannot yet conceive of a world without her in it".
>He said: "Wanting to share her passion for cycling, even well into her seventies, she often took groups of young novices out on their first forays into North Wales."
This happens too often in UK. Cagers are so fucking entitled I think that I am lucky not to be run over most days. It is so bad here qe are thw home of the traffic drone.
Is it worth getting a camera if you know police don't take it seriously? They will laugh at close pass complaints as "why are you on the road if you can't hold your own against cars?".
Sad day for him. I just hope it doesn't stop the work he has been doing. So far it seems he is a very respectful man as many would leverage the incident to make themselves a form of martyr.
I'm at an airshow in Anchorage at the moment, I'll post pics as I walk around.

Jesus christ why. E-commuters are bad, e-mtbs are worse, but this is just a fucking monstrosity.
>of course it was giant
But "E-commuters" are not bad.

What's the problem? They're not aimed at 21 year old cat6 /n/ dickheads, so of course they don't appeal to you, but I could see myself riding this sort of thing in 50 years when I'm 70 and my arthritis is flaring up or someshit, where's the harm in that?

When you have an ebike, should you gear it high so you can still pedal when it's at maximum output or should you gear it low so you can still pedal when the battery is dead?

What mud guard / fender should I get for my MTB so that my back doesn't look like it shat itself?
You should get the KXR SuperGuard JJ-2307 CMTG CyclingFender™
>>980282
How about 'one that fits your bike' and leave it at that?
Alternately, you can MAN THE FUCK UP and be muddy and dirty like everyone else who like to play in the mud and the dirt, and not look like an autist in the process.

Agreed.

Let's say you are me
You are a cyclist but left cycling for 5 years.
You didn't road bike but now you're interested in road biking and competing
You don't have a very big budget
You're not sure if you'll like road biking but you're drawn to it and feel a need to pursue it because you have good legs and endurance and the need for competition.
For $350 you find a 30 year old road bike that catches your eye. It's a Bianchi.
Do you buy it? Pic related.
No I'd just buy the BD Claris bike.
If I'm spending $350 on a vintage bike it better be damn nice and not just ok.
Also kickstand. Nope.
>>979321
personally no, but then again I'm not a poorfag and I am gainfully employed... then again I am stingy and I believe you can find a suitable bike in the $1200 range

looking for a city commuter bike like the shinola arrow but without the 1000 price tag
i love the geometry and can always add fenders and a rack to it but i wanted to ask advice for any brands you guys might be into
thanks in advance!
Not trying to be elitist here, but let me ask why you want handle bars like that if you're commuting?
Drops would give you all the hand positions your bike would, but with added options when you inevitably run into headwinds, or your writs get a little sore or something.
