Some may remember this one from the troll bike thread, I finally was able to put a road fork and 700c front wheel on it, yet the top tube still slopes forward, perhaps even more so than before. Crazy ass frame.
Also put on some cheapo brakes, they don't work great with v-brake levers but it's a low-speed commuter so no big deal. Handling feels very snappy, pretty fun to ride.

>Go to local bike shop to get first road bike
>Turns out they're high end (Specialized, Felt etc)
>Tell them I want a road bike and I've never had one before
>End up walking away with a Specialized Diverge A1 for $880

It's a bit more than I wanted to spend but from looking at online reviews before finally buying the bike it seems really solid. What is /n/'s thoughts on this bike?

You got a great bike to start on, and that's a really good price in today's market. Ride the hell out of it.
>>
>>981300
My only thing right now is my front disc brake is making noise like it's scraping. I already took it back to have the brakes adjusted and at the shop it was fine but now it's making it again and I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong. From looking at the usermanual the quick release pin need to be supertight and the lever is supposed to be really hard to press down but maybe I tightened the pin to tight.
>>
>>981302
No harm in taking it back to the shop if it's not a hassle to get there. In my experience, shops are committed to making sure your bike is functioning perfectly after you just purchased it - mostly because they want you as a long-term customer.

The reason you're a neurotic, jealous, granola eating bikenigger is because you've never known the pure joy and love of owning a kick ass pick up truck.

Petty awesome. I can see the stars from my backyard. From a nearby park I can even see a clear view of the milky way. I go there to drink beer and play disk golf with my friends all the time. I often go hiking or fishing on the weekends.

I know the local cops by name. We're 95% white. Very little crime.

Clean air. Clean water. Clean streets. A community that helps each other and cares. It's safe and beautiful here. My home is comfy and my family is wonderful.

I can launch giant illegal fireworks from my backyard and nobody gives a shit. I can have a huge ass bonfire just for fun.

Rural life is the best.

I feel sorry for you concrete hive dwelling human resource units. People were never meant to live that way, it brings out all sorts of emotional and mental problems.

You can't even see the stars.

Thanks to years of smoking weed in my youth (which in addition to ruining my academic career) I developed gynecomastia which I am pretty self-conscious about.

While I am thin and would otherwise look good in a jersey my nipples are shaped like cones so I never wear form fitting clothes. What do I look for in a jersey? Are there any out there that incorporate flattening pads?

I can't be the only guy who has these issues.

Tape your nipples. A lot of runners and athletes who need to run a lot in their sport do it to prevent chafing.
>>

lift more and cut out all sources of estrogen in your life. almost all hygiene products and laundry soaps have things that cause your body to make more estrogen. look it up. else's my gyno quite a bit. smoke weed every day

OP, could you pass for a woman if you shaved? Because I'm thinking a sports bra might be really comfy...

I bet the replica would disintegrate under its own weight if you tried to float it, never mind being watertight for an extended period of time.

I wish I lived near Kentucky, I would totally go and visit this thing just to troll the tour guides working there. The bible says Noah and his family were sealed inside the arc for 40 days, how did they not asphyxiate from the methane coming off all the poop being generated by millions of animals and dinosaurs?

Since you are all such avid bikers, you guys must have really muscular frames right? Slim, huge quads and glutes?

This what was left of my previous bike cause of an accident
>>
Just hope that the bottom bracket is OK, that is so a shit job to repair and judging by the overall condition - not worth it.

I'm almost suggesting trying to use the usable parts of this bike to restore your old one.

>>979220
Maybe he can postpone the new casette provide it's not skipping yet.

Only the rear brake and and the shifters plus cables seem like an immediate issue, but of course getting rid of any superfluous noises and and high rolling resistance is a great morale booster.

Also duly noting

I don't know which board to go to but Long story short, I was stoned on eBay and bought a sailboat. I'm just curious how in over my head I am. I know little about sailing but have time and alittle money on my side.

Here is the boat. I live about 70 miles where it is moored.

I haven't paid anything yet and think I am just bailing on the whole deal.

Anyway I don't know shit about boats but I'd certainly buy one for 500 bucks. Do you have to pay a monthly fee to keep it there or something though?

Around 170/m from what I have found to keep boat there. I leave next week for around a month.

You know, here, in my country, if you don't wear a helmet and cause an accident, no matter if it was your fault or not, your anus gets stretched to the moon and back by your Insurance. I really hope for the people who don't wear a helmet that they got enough money to cover all the stupid expenses they get excluded from, and yes, this is totally legal

Listen up bikefags
Im tired of all these fucking"cyclist" threads. All you faggots jerk each other off over your "gear" and your "share the road" bullshit. You're just as bad as the "cagers" you claim to hate so much. Creating obstructions on the road.
Guess what?Trains are the superior form of transportation. How many people have been killed riding a train? That's right no one.
Do I need a helmet or "bike lane"? Nope!
Do I try to feel "superior" over my mode of transportation?
Fuck no.

Trainfags are way more annoying and autistic than bikefags any day of the week. Of course the fags that go on and on about buses and other shit like that are even worse, but you trainfags are still fags.

You can't own trains, unless they're model trains.
You can own bikes, and you actually DO something with them other than sit there like a faggot and look at them; you RIDE them, and get fit and less fat thereby. Bikes therefore are superior to all other forms of transportation, PROVE ME WRONG.
