I've always liked stimulants, in high school I used to drink energy drinks regularly. Since then (college now) I've wavered between just a cup of coffee in the morning to a cup in the morning and an energy drink in the afternoon during work terms. I don't really "adjust" to the point where the effect wears off so it always gets me active and lively.

I'm just wondering what could be the potential negative long term effects of, say, 300 mg of caffeine in a day? It really does double my production and outlook, I just don't like the idea of long term consequences (if any).

Would yoga work? Everything I find online is just new agey bullshit or anti-yoga new agey bullshit that says it will give me cancer.

So, yoga, yes or no on being an okay supplemental relaxing activity 3-4 times a week?

There's also a hot yoga (as in Bikram yoga done in a hot room) studio that's free for students at my college, would that (Bikram yoga) be good to look into?

The right priorities

I'm doing SL 5x5 but I'm a fatty cutting hard with a primary goal of losing fat before I start to build muscle and strength.

Would I be better off doing 6 days a week ppl just for the increased time in the gym?

I know I won't be making a ton of gains, so would swapping to a routine that makes you do more be more beneficial for me to cut? It seems like increased time in the gym and lifting would help the amount that I could cut. I'm also doing cardio with it cause my cardio is dicks.


Then after I cut to where I need to be, I could bulk on SS or SL to build a solid strength base. Does that sound right?

The SL lifts are great, but you need more than that. Don't be affraid of machines and isolations exercises. When I was doing it, I did meals and combined it with carb up day. Just have one day with 1-2 carb meals like pasta or whatever floats boat. I never felt like shit but I also have a strong constitution.

Like any diet, you have to eat the right amount of what will keep you sane. Otherwise you explode and eat every shitty thing you can think of.
