Didn't see one so here it goes
I'll start, just finished some chow made from bits and pieces I found in the fridge.
Chicken breast dunked in garlic soy sauce, fried with veggie mix, cup noodles cooked then fried with the above, some thai herb mix with soy sauce and teriyaki sauce added to taste
Yum!

Guys is my tuna bad? I bought this tuna a long time ago and put it in my freezer for about 8 months now, and thawed it by having it in my fridge for about 48 hours. I wanna say it had the dark when I got it but not too sure about the yellower spots...
It was sushi grade when I got it. Would it still be safe to eat raw?
Other side.
It's fine.
The texture/taste will be a little off because it was in the freezer for so god damn long, but other than that, it's can only be as harmful as it was the day you got it.
The effects of long-term freezing on foods are generally "cosmetic."
>>8433910
cut off the dark part and the yellow spots... it´s freezer burn.
its not the best quality anymore, i woulnt eat it raw, as sushi, but as steak seared with sesame and Soy-ginger sauce
24 hours later and my pickled beets and eggs are ready to try. I threw some onions, garlic, and a few jalapenos in to spice things up.
pretty damn tasty...
>>8433893
It's almost like edible art...
Looks good pham, how hot were they?
Let it sit for a week in the fridge...It's gonna taste way better...
What the hell happened to this place?
I remember going back in 2010 in New York, waiting in line for 20 minutes, paying a good bit of money and thinking it was worth every minute and every penny.
I haven't lived on the East Coast since then and have spent most of my time outside of the country after that, so i was excited to find out they had expanded.
The burgers are tiny, the fries are the same shit I got served in public school elementary, and they charge as much as five guys. I remember distinctly thinking they were way better than 5 guys at the time, since they were the new chain expanding into my home state at the time.
Now Shack Shake is barely better than McDondalds, definitely worse than BK, with premium prices. I thought I was just misremembering which restaurant I went to in NYC, but a friend came and visited me in the states this week, that had it with me in NYC, and also said they're straight garbage now.
Did they just completely change everything about the place except the shake sauce? Chains usually decline in quality but this seems extreme for the limited time frame
>>8433684
They're expanding and cutting costs. What do you expect, faggot? It's become corporatized.
You escaped the East Coast is what happened
Literally nothing on the east coast is worth the cost you pay, except jewish delis, which are still $25 for a fucking sandwich are STILL go out of business
>>8433688
The East Coast has the best food in the country in general. Theres regional foods like BBQ that certain places do better, but the east coast can do very good versions of everything except for deep dish.
What kinds of foods do you eat when you're sick with a cold?
>>8433678
Hot buttered toast.
Hot lemon and honey drinks.
Chicken noodle soup.
Windows 98SE.
>>8433682
>hot buttered toast
Butter and dairy in general isn't good for colds
>honey
Sugar isn't good for healing either
All I want to do is learn how to enjoy pickles. This is literally the only snack my dad ever buys, and he enjoys the fuck out of them. I want to like them to, but there is just something so.. not good about them. I need to learn how to like these fuckers. How can I make these better? Would I be a faggot if I don't learn to just eat them out of the jar?
>>8433380
Start buying reubens and consume the entire pickle after you have eaten half the sandwich. Literally learned how to like pickles over the course of 6 months after I started doing that.
Try some half sours or bread and butter pickles if you don't like dill. I personally make spicy pickles that I really enjoy.
But in the end, some people don't like some things, it happens.
>>8433384
Why reubens? Are they known to go good with pickles or something?
holy shit.
>literally tastes like reeses filling
>perfect texture
>GOAT peanut butter
tell me im not the only one
Looks alright op may try.
>>8433337
gotta try this tbqh
>2017
>not eating zero calorie peanut butter

How do you guys season your pork chops, beside regular old salt and pepper?
I've got my pork chop frying technique down, so now I wanna improve them in other ways.
>>8432857
Make your own Adobo.
Pro tip to cut horizontal scores along the fat so your pork chop doesn't curl in the pan
Add salt, pepper, paprika, and lots of rosemary to a ziplock with the porkchops. Add some vegetable oil and mix, the oil should be fairly red. It's best if it can sit together for more than an hour.
Food stamps day fellow cu/ck/olds!
What are you buying?
>>8432767
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j_cOsgRY7w
foodstamps should be limited to basic foods and store brand items
>>8432804
basic foods?
I'm going to make blueberry pancakes with butter and genuine Vermont maple syrup for breakfast tomorrow and there's nothing you can do to stop me.
>globs of sugar, starch, and fat, fried in fat, drenched in sugar.
good job.
>>8432746
post your home address
>>8432766
but it's NATURAL shuger anon it's good for you somehow because it's NATURAL
If you could only have one soup for the rest of your life what would it be?
>kharcho
http://natashaskitchen.com/2016/03/29/beef-soup-kharcho/
I don't think I've had enough soup to really answer this, but probably go for either udon ham and pea.
>>8432670
It's ramen soup? If so, ramen. If not, probably split pea.
>>8432670
Beef stew, with double the standard ratio of beef. Fucking love beef.
What are some foods that keep you full?
I'm trying to lose weight (like every other chump on the planet this time of year) and I can never seem to properly curb my appetite.
Yesterday I ate two chicken sandwiches, 4 eggs and english muffins, a package of jalapeno poppers, and two cups of rice with soy sauce between 6pm and 2am
And I still felt hungry when I was going to bed
I just ate two cups of rice with 2 eggs, broccoli, mushrooms, and two huge glasses of milk and I'm still hungry
Reduce carbs, increase protein.
That's basically it, but you'll be surprised at how much protein you need.
Burrito made at home
popcorn
cantaloupe
watermelon
broccoli even though its gross
Drink more water. Like a ton.
Also just cut back 500kcals bro.
Weigh your food at first and observe the portion sizes. ingrain that into your lil noggin so you can guestimate in the future.
I'm going to make burgers for the first time. Any advice on how to make them really good? I want them juicy and full of flavor, not burnt to a crisp and flavorless.
Also, thinking about trying to make my own burger buns. Is that advisable? I don't want to make a huge mess.
Going to bringing some other possible condiments, such as grilled onions and mushrooms. Any suggestions as to what I should add besides the standard stuff?
>>8432100
If you're going to make your own buns do it the day prior to cooking the burger unless you have a sweat shop full of asians cooking you bread.
>Don't pack the meat too hard
>Worcestershire
>Salt
>Pepper
Also remember a burger is not a meatloaf...any flavor, jalapenos, onions, pickles etc should be ON the burger and not IN the burger...newfags make that mistake all the time. Cheese is up to you. Enjoy your burger OP.
>>8432120
>putting onions or peppers in the burgers makes you a newfag
Guess how I can tell you're a dumbfuck millennial?
