I made some hot Italian Sausage and a semi-dry Pepperoni that will ferment @ 90F for 24 hours.

What thinks thee? Anyone make their own sausage?

My roommate threw out my casings. It was in salt in a ziploc bag, inside a grocery store bag. "I thought it was just an empty bag," was his answer to my "Where the fuck is my 20$ worth of pork balloons?"

I've made some free-form sausage since, just saran wrapping and freezing for later enjoyment.

I really blew my family's minds when I made hot sausage that was bright red -- between the paprika and my own homemade smoked pepper flakes, it was spicy, but more flavor than heat.

I went and got KFC and had a 3 piece meal inside. Well about half an hour later I got hungry again, but I was afraid of getting the same cashier. So I use the drive through and order another 6 piece meal. Well it turns out its the same person!! I'm so humiliated. Please tell me they didn't notice and weren't judging the hell out of me.

OP it's me from the KFC. I'm glad you asked here, /ck/, because I'm totally browsing here and can tell you that I think you're a fat faggot.

Let me guess. You got crispy, dark meat. Potato wedges and Mac n cheese. And paid extra for 36 oz sugar beverage.

You are fat.

What's the best size of a pan for cooking a 3 egg omelette?
20 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
9.5" inches
>>
You dont want the ends to spread out too far, then it will cook unevenly and it will be too wide. Some on the opposite end, then it will too grouped up and you wont cool it well enough before burning.

For 2 eggs, Id say maybe an 8in to 9in depending on if there will be other ingredients inside like veggies or whatever.

For 3 or 4 eggs, Id say between 9 and 10in pan.

I also actually like taking a really small 4 or 5in pan and cooking one egg omlette at a time. Its quick and fun and uniform. Easy to serve as well to kids or a group.
>>
smaller the pan the thicker the omelette...

I think Canned Soup is naturally over salted and just nasty as a result.

I will admit to a childhood fondness to Campbell's Cream of Mushroom, my Grandmother would serve that stuff over Green beans. So yeah that stuff is a pure nostalgia bomb.

Why do people drink Lagers instead of Ales?

I can't imagine someone who wants a beer with less flavour
62 posts and 7 images submitted.
>>
flavour can be too rich to drink many in one evening or to switch between brews

same reason people drink light beers, so they can do a lot of them in quick succession

hi /brit/
>>

>less flavour
What kind of lagers are you talking? "American Pilsners/Lagers" are designed to be cheap to make and easy to drink, but there is a lot you can do with bottom fermenting yeast. Just for comparison's sake put a Carlsberg next to a Coors, next to a Pilsner Urquell - quite a difference in hops, sweetness, and thickness when you do the pepsi challenge with them. Darker malts and different goals develop different beers like Marzens/Oktoberfests, Bocks, Dark/Black lagers, and even Kolschs (if you consider the result of lagering an ale to be at least part lager).

Sometimes "Cleaner" just means more of the constituent parts and less of the "junk"... so more of the malt and hop flavours and less of the diacetyl and esters the yeasts are trying to clean up.

Samoan cuisine is one of the weirdest ones I've stumbled across.

In the meat section of my local supermarket are large, suspicious white buckets labelled "POVI MASIMA" with no other clues as to what could be lurking inside. It looks like a slimy concoction of unseasoned raw meat and cabbage. Samoans claim that it tastes amazing.

Another popular dish is rice vermicelli noodles in soy sauce. This underwhelming two-ingredient dish sells quickly and islanders love it.

Everything else they eat is fried bread, pork buns, and roast meals from the local D-grade takeaway store.

It's been proven that the shocking obesity rate of Samoans are due to genetics, but why do they make it worse by eating the unhealthiest foods possible?

The saddest part is Samoan cuisine used to be defined by its use of taro, fish, coconuts, and plantains. Now a lot of this culture has been lost to cheap chinese-influenced fried food.

Going to need some sauce for that, kiddo.

They were sustained for a long time on a mainly seafood diet, and historically recently switched to absolute shit-tier meat (fatty mutton imported from NZ) based diet. Main problem is poverty, rather than genetics.

There's so much written about it online, I didn't think it was necessary to post sauce.

But yeah, I agree that poverty has to do with it.

If you're pointing out a bullshit claim don't wedge in another bullshit claim.
The poorest people in the world- Africans, Street-Shitters and SE Asians don't have huge obesity rates.

Fries are really bad. Soggy, packed with grease, and taste kinda' like dirt.

Burgers are just as greasy, but at least you can customize them to add a little flavor. It just ends up overpriced as fuck for something that's passable. It's a meme. You might as well just go to McDonalds.
>>
I mean, I like that you can customize the burger to whatever you want but its still fucking 8 or 9 dollars for a goddamn cheeseburger
>>
>>8425906

About as good as you can make on the grill for a lot more money. It's not bad by any means, but for the price, it's not worth it. There's a variety of toppings, but really, it's bland in general.

>Hungarian cuisine

Reminds me of a story

>go to Hungarian Resturant
>Hulking thing in a dress greats me at the door
>smells of week old lunchmeat ham
>hairy all over despite outwardly womanly appearance
>resturant is a repurposed chip shop
>floor is always sticky
>walls of restaurant are covered with old pictures of soviet hungry, mostly of the 1960's revolution
>They served three drinks, water, beer, and Brandy
>Fat old man is my waiter, talks to me in a pidgin English while yelling in Hungarian at the chef
>Chef looks like a clone of the waiter, yells back in Hungarian, and then begins trying to communicate with the kitchen staff, most of whom were Indian
>All of them collectively knew about three words of English, and neither of them can communicate to the other
>Am served on a chipped plate, the food had no presentation, and looks like if a goat shit in a bowl
>still tasted amazing

Hungarian food is amazing. It's like Slavic food had a child with Spanish food, but with actual flavour besides salt. Much like the Hungarian people, it's hardy and probably contains some goat. If you can stomach going into weird ass restaurants then give it a shot
>>
Their cherry dessert soup is absolutely top tier.

I don't remember what it's called though.
>>
