Booze/alcohol for the new year.
I absolutely love bloody marys. Every time I go to a new bar it's the first drink I get, because it's always made a bit different.
I want to make my own. Anyone have any luck with a good blood mary mix of some kind? I think arguably the hardest part is deciding what tomato juice to use.
Like mine spicy so I'll be adding hot sauce and what not.

So I have bone in pork chops like pic related. Every time I try to add breading to them either by box or with italian breadcrumbs and the like they never stick to them during baking. I normally have to bake them instead of pan frying. When I bake them the breading just falls off and/or sticks to the pan even with foil that is coated with some oil. Should I be using some/more egg wash?

My throat is super fucked and the doctor told me to avoid eating hot food. Only cold/chilled food.
Since it's winter I'm struggling having decent ideas.
Do you have any good cold/chilled recipe with winter ingredients? I only have a small refrigirator so most frozen ingredients are out of the window...

Is salt and pepper a meme? Why would you only use salt and pepper on meat when there's thousands of other spices and millions of combinations? Why would you only season your meat with two of them and claim "it's all it needs"?

Here in Houston there are amazing TexMex places everywhere.
Each one I've been to has had different but great salsa, better than any I've ever been able to make.
What's the secret? The closest I've gotten is simmering the salsa for a bit and then chilling it. But it still isn't close to the same.
My recipe is usually
>Tomato (a mix of canned and fresh blended)
>cilantro
>white onion
>Serrano
>fresh garlic
>lime
>salt and pepper
>simmered for at least 30 minutes and then chilled
