ITT: recipe search that isn't terrible

Most are complete garbage. Trying to fill the void left by Punchfork (rip) but everything these days has a shit layout and shit filters, and tries too hard to be "social" when I just want to find something to make.

Trying to find something better. Best I could find so far is OnlyEats but they don't index the smaller food blogs. Yummly is okay I guess. FoodGawker is only as sophisticated as Pinterest but I still use it sometimes.

You're right OP sesame chicken is the best, but the place near me seems to be the best ive ever had. From Ming Dynasty in Rocky Hill, CT

Just went with my mates to eat there last week, we got big ass scorpion bowls, one for each or us and ate like kings.

Anyways I got takeout from them on Monday, here's what I got. Purest will hate me, but hey it tastes great!

Sesame Chicken, Broccoli with garlic sauce, rice, snd crunchy noodles crushed up for that crunchy sensation. I dripped the garlic sauce over the rice to give it more flavor.

Honey exists, just use that. The only thing it really doesn't work in is coffee. You can use honey in a verde sauce and it is actually better than granulated sugar if you're trying to alleviate a bitter tomato. Plus it's cheap as fuck.

I just inherited a rack of pork from my new years resolution vegan coworker. I'm unfamiliar with the cooking process and all recipes suggest coating it with dijon, then herbs and baking.


Is this the best option? I'm planning on making this to impress a first date and really want to wow her. Any tips / recipes would be greatly appreciated.

For juicing what exactly?

There's two main types. Centrifugal and screw (aka "masticating"). The former are faster and better suited to wet/soft fruits, but don't work well for hard root vegetables or leafy greens. The latter is pretty much the opposite.

So pick what you want to juice first, then pick the type that suits that the best.

Also wondering how much pulp each type discards. I'd like to retain most pulp in the juice if possible.

Very different. EVOO has a strong flavor and a very low smoke point. Refined has a very mild flavor and a high smoke point.
