Are Crockpots any good?
Euro Peen here and they arent that commonly used over here, but I heard some good stuff about them.
Ordered one as they are cheap because why not.
>>8428510
I prefer a dutch oven, basically does that same job, but a crock pot is probably better if you want to cook something for 6+ hours without paying attention.
I have and use both for different reasons.
salsa chicken
>>8428547
That actually one of the things I wanted to try.
Generally making chicken breast more bearable.
Biggest problem is finding salsa here right now.
I was speaking with a colleague of mine, and we got into the topic of food combinations that you wouldn't see at all
Any ideas, anons?
>also chocolate syrup + soy sauce = hidden masterpiece? /ck/ btfo?

Watch out, my dude. That one autist with a wild hair up her cunt is going to spam your thread to shit because you're making hotdish and it offends her coastal sensibilities.
Cheese shop opened in a town 25 miles from me and I totally want to get some but would the cheese survive and still be good the trip home especially in a car with the heater going?
>>8428326
In my opinion, if the cheese is already really cold or even relatively cold, yes, I believe it'll be fine, you'd probably be pushing it with 40-45 minutes on a hot hot day, but if you're that worried take a little cooler with you or some ice bags and cover it with that. Also try to keep your heater down, it's only 25 minutes for your cheese run, you'll survive.
>>8428326
What kind of cheese are you getting?
Should I plan to eat it all today or can I save some. I'm kind of a stickler about food safety.
Would /ck/ eat this? I'm asking for a friend.
>>8428301
Yeah, I think there is too much hashbrown though.
>>8428301
all day
>>8428301

>>8428164

>No rules, just right
If that's the case, why did the manager ban me after I told my waitress I'd suck her cunt inside out?
False advertising is killing the industry.
>>8428149
no rules as it relates to the food ya cunt, read the foine print
>America refined and perfected authentic Australian cuisine
Is there anything we can't do?
I serve at an outback, that slogan is much better than the one my manager has over the office "Can you smell it?"
My nonna used to make a pasta dish with broccoli and pork belly. Boil pasta and broccoli, fry up some pork belly in olive oil, and combine. It was very simple but also my favorite dish my nonna made. When my mother was alive she made it too, but added sundried tomatoes to the mix.
I'm expecting my first child and I wish I learned how to make this the way my mother/nonna did, or at least a name to put to the recipe. I can make it but it's lacking something, which is why I'm searching for a recipe.
>>8428134
Maybe she also fried some garlic with the pancetta?
>>8428134
>wtf is a nonna
>>8428146
Here's what I do:
- take the pork belly and trim off some of the fat, then slice into 1cm wide pieces, salt and pepper
- put in pan with olive oil, fry until cooked through but still very soft
- add some garlic, chili flakes, sliced sundried tomatoes to the pan, cook until meat slightly firm, remove from heat
- bring water to a boil, put penne in, cook until about 95% done, then add broken up broccoli, cook until semi-firm and penne is done
- combine everything
I just feel like it's awfully plain, something my nonna and mother missed.
For me? It's always been Yakult. The best non-alcoholic drink.
Yes!!! However, the portions are always soooo small. I also enjoy iced green tea for one of the best non-alcoholic drinks
>>8427483
That's because with Yakult all one needs is just a teaspoon of its goodness to feel better. That is why I usually allow a batch to last around a week, each portion lasting me a full day.

Lactobacillus casei is a species of genus Lactobacillus found in the human intestine and mouth. This particular species of Lactobacillus is documented to have a wide pH and temperature range, and complements the growth of L. acidophilus, a producer of the enzyme amylase (a carbohydrate-digesting enzyme).
Please talk me out of going into restaurant-business. I'm a sensitive person, I love food and cooking, but I hate tattoos and loud-ass people.
And I'm already 27yo.
Just cook at home. don't ruin the only thing you love by trying to work as a line cook. it will make you hate cooking
>>8428136
This. And the fact that you will have to deal with the most retarded people with their even more retarded requests.
Loads of restaurants close in their first year - but if you want to commit financial suicide go for it baby
Why don't I ever see people talking about Chicken Express on here?
>better than Popeyes, canes, or chick fil a
>cheaper than almost anywhere
>not a meme restaurant
>no niggers
>amazing iced tea
>lots of sides to choose from
It can be blander than some places but they give you a nice hot seasoning salt so you can adjust the flavor level.
The same reason that /ck/ never talks about Taco John's.
Fries are goat, buscuits are breddy gud
but the chicken is incredibly fucking greasy
Over all 7/10
>>8426483
>no niggers
Oh so it's shit then? Lol take your bland ass chicken and seasoning salt and gtfo.

Is Buffalo Trace a meme? I found it for the first time at a liquor store and it was limit of one per person. I asked and they told me it usually sells out within 24 hrs of them getting it in.
Is it really that good? It was $24 for a 750ml bottle, just slightly more than bulleit of the same size
>>8425763
holy shit all these buzzwords.
we need a wall for people like you
>>8425763
> no difference
t. never had a good whiskey like Woodford Reserve
>>8425773
I didn't say it was """the best""" or even ONE of the best; but it IS good (even if a little too pricey)
You want good/cheap? W. L. Weller Wheated Bourbon
Don't care about your palate or life? Evan Williams anything.
