Somewhere other than Michigan.

Book an appointment with an optician.
Looks like an aborted pizza. I'm sure it tastes great, though.
Hey guys, what about sharing some good recipes, tricks and stuff we do for breakfast, lunch or dinner ?
I'll start with something really simple.
I usually have lunch at work and I prepare something the day before.
Since I might not always have the time, I just do something with basmati rice that is quite good with any form of vegetables mix.
One really simple recipe is with canned tuna (or salmon) cooked with some oil and onions, and then adding the basmati rice with some parsley
I typed up a recipe and accidentally closed the reply box
Fuck it, this one is close enough

Personally, I Just never know what to do that's quick and for one person.
If I make every recipe I plan on, I end up with an ungodly amount of leftovers. Anybody have any advice? Or is this just a part of life?
>>8438918
most recipes are portioned for 4 people, just cut the portions in half
eat half and then eat the other half as leftovers later
make simple soups or meat + vegetable + starch dishes that you can do in 30m to an hour, you can do more ambitious things or things that take longer when you have extra time e.g. weekends like pasta bakes or pulled pork or roasts/ w/e
>visiting the UK (I'm from France)
>my friends want to take me out for dinner at Nando's
>agree to it cause memes, muh cheeky Nandos
>we sit down
>waiter tells us it's Cheese Day
>I freak the fuck out and ask my friends why they didn't tell me it's Cheese Day
>they tell me to calm down
>I yell "FUCK OFF" and storm out of the restaurant
>pick up some KFC and eat it on the way home
Was I in the wrong here? My friends still don't understand just what the problem was, they act like I'm the unreasonable one.
>>8438306
You ran away, ditched your friends, and caused a scence because processed dairy foods exist in a restaurant.
>they act like I'm the unreasonable one
They are not wrong.
Please take a moment to reflect on why you had this reaction to cheese, then go find your friends and explain why this happened. And apologise for being such an autist.
And don't forget:
It's cheese day!
mate it's cheese day and you ran away from a bit o cheeky nandos?
0/10 not a proper lad

Can't handle the BANTZ.

>Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product
how in the fuck do Americans eat this?
>>8438193
Are you purposefully being dense?
You peel away the plastic and wa-la!
>>8438193
You don't eat it the way you would normal cheese. That stuff is just flavoring for other foods like burger patties or grilled cheese sandwiches. It's pretty tasty.
>>8438202
>wa-la!
You fucking clod.
It's "wá-lá". You forgot to Spain the letters.
Guys I made a simple habanero chili which came out ok, if a bit salty, but I seem to have underestimated the potency of habanero peppers. Am I going to die?
>>8438178
You would physically have a hard time eating enough habaneros to injure yourself
>>8438178
You'll be fine. Get yourself some pepto bismol and power through. Now share the recipe, that shit looks good.
>>8438212
Pretty basic as I just wanted to use some stuff here before it spoiled.
Start by heating up some ground beef and mixing in salt, black pepper, thyme leaves and maybe 6 cloves of chopped garlic. When everything is brown, add in a ton of chopped and crushed tomatoes. Everything should turn kind of liquidy before long. Then add half an onion, chopped up, a ton of chili powder, 3 pulverized habanero peppers, a can of pinto beans, a little cumin and some msg. Mix everything up and let it simmer for 30-40 mins. Whole process takes maybe an hour.
Why is it so good?
Fat and salt
>>8438142
>Fat
nah it's the carbs. the only fat, really, is the cheese.
>hated the taste of blueberries
>end up working and living in a Maine park for half the year
>pick and eat some blueberries because why not
>fucking amazing
>even when they are in season store bought ones taste like ass
>even the 'organic' ones or ones from the roadside stalls that sell vegetables taste like ass
Why? And is there any foods you like better to pick yourself?
>>8437985
>Why?
Welcome to the importance of freshness, and wild-grown rather than "farmed".
>>And is there any foods you like better to pick yourself?
In an ideal world, all of them. But the only things I have ready access to get wild are mushrooms, raspberries, and various herbs that I planted out back.
>>8437985
I grew up in Maine, if you're getting the small berries found in higher elevations (you're in a Maine park so I assume there were mountains), they are pretty much a different breed. Farmers often select for traits other than just taste (durability, size, etc.), so you get different flavors in wild fruit.
>>8437989
> Wild mushrooms
seem fun to pick yourself but i really wouldn't know where to start safely picking them.
I'm going to move to a new apartment soon and it's a conduction range. I'm used to gas. Is there anything I can do to hookup a gas range or am I fucked
Just get good at using the microwave. If you want something crispy just wrap it in foil.
>>8437875
You're not fucked, you're just downgrading.
Enjoy your new existence.
Can you guess what this is?
Buttered banana bread.
>>8437635
is that loss?
Banana bread with a butter spread and what looks like onion/garlic/cheese
