So i've been talking to this girl for about six months we first met at an event at the start of the year, we hit off really well and have been talking ever since, but the thing is she lives on the other side of the country and its really awkward, and im not sure if she still like me or not, at the time she had a boyfriend but we still made out and a few months later right after prom she broke up with him and after that we've been snapchatting even more we've also facetimed and shit, i havent been able to meet up in person cus of final year of school and my 2 month holiday in america, and right now she tells me she went on a date with some guy for the last 3 weeks they've been together and im here acting like it doesn't hurt and still acting the same way but it does hurt and i dont know what to do, we were planning on her coming over this week but i just dont know

How would I go about teaching myself to play bass?
I guess first I need to learn to read tabs, and then I should just practice every day. But does anyone have any useful tips/websites/advice/videos/whatever?

It would be ideal to have a teacher, as they can show you what you are doing wrong, but I understand if you can't/don't want to. Tabs are fairly easy to learn, and there is plenty of material online, specifically youtube. Also MAKE SURE YOU LEARN MUSIC THEORY. It is important to learn it while you are just starting out, because it is very hard to correct bad habits later.
For tips, since you are going to be a bass player, you need to have a good sense rhythm and timing. Pay attention to the bass drum in songs and when it hits. Typically you want to play a note every time it does, and "sync up with it" but this is not required for all songs. Also you should get a metronome if you don't already have one.
Lastly, for technique, it might take a while for you to get comfortable playing. Start out playing slow, and then you will start to build up speed over time. Like I said there are plenty of resources out there: video tutorials, guides, and if you are into vidya Rocksmith is a good game for beginners. It is basically like guitar hero but with a real guitar/bass and has a bunch of helpful tools as well.

Anyone with medical knowledge out there? I have a growing mole on my scalp, it is brown and pink, it doesn't itch or bleed. Is it fungus? I did have fungus problems in the past which I treated with medicine applied to the area and special shampoo, but that was 3 years ago. I always had a lot of sebum secretion in my life...
Should I see a specialist? What over the counter treatment can I get ?

I just lost a job more or less because I'm socially awkward. This is actually the second time this has happened. For all you normal people, I'll explain:

Then I realized the only consistent thing in the equation was me so obviously I was doing something wrong and needed to improve but you don't sound like that. Hi everybody, I don't know if this is the best place to ask but I'm not doing that great at the moment. I'm struggling with some kind of weird food obsession/preoccupation that has developed from what I think is anorexia, though I was never diagnosed. I'm male, but I lost over 100lb on liquid diets and severe calorie restrictions for months - I went through a phase briefly of starting to look like a prisoner in a Japanese POW camp but I think I'm coming back from that now.
The problem is although I am eating more now I eat weird stuff - like nuts and fruit and tins of fish and stuff throughout the day. I've forgotten how to eat properly/normally. I've calorie counted for so long and been on diets for so long, with both of my parents who are still dieting, I don't know what actually makes up a "lunch" for a normal person.

Every time I try to figure out what people normally eat or try to think of a lunch, I think it's probably something like a 200-300 calorie sandwich or something, but then I see people eating pizza and like what would have been a full dinner for me (500 calories) at lunch time. Normally if I go and buy lunch in my college canteen I'll get a sandwich and some fruit with coffee but what am I supposed to eat after that if I only had a big bowl of oatmeal for breakfast?
If I try to imagine eating 500 calories for breakfast, lunch and dinner, that's me still at 1500 - which is still weight loss for a young adult male like me. There's a big movement now away from all the bullshit dieting stuff towards "eating when you're hungry" and "eating mindfully" and stuff like that, but I don't even know when I'm hungry - I don't feel it, I just get light headed and have to remind myself to eat.
What do you guys typically eat on a daily basis? Most people don't think about food 24/7, like I do, they just eat when they're hungry, but what the fuck do you actually eat that keeps you at a weight you feel comfortable with?

I sometimes try to remember what I ate when I was a kid, but the problem was that my mother often overfed me with portions that were too big, and I ate calorific fatty food for breakfast and dinner because my dad did. Now all they eat are main meal salads and shit like that but if I'm cooking/preparing meals for myself, I have no idea how to even make those or how many servings they are - and because they're low calorie, I'd probably still lose weight if I ate them.
