Hello, people.

I'm a german 22 y/o kid who is currently in a kind-of apprenticeship. I hate my life and have few social life outside of family life. I'm have a big family but since i live far away i only visit them every couple weeks for celebrations. Outside of these i mostly just sit infront of my computer and zap through youtube stuff. Currently i'm listening to Estas Tonne since his style seems to be very enjoyable when im drunk. How and where should i go to surpass this semi-loneliness? Where can i drug down my social insecurities and go on adventures?

Picture really not related, im too lazy to attach my second HDD to my computer

I am making roughly 3,000 - 4,000 USD a day, no friends / life, give me some ideas on what to do and where to go. I live in an ok but very dull and boring area in the US, not sure where to travel but seriously bored out of my mind and want to have some fun.

Throw your ideas, something you know would be good for 23 y/o to experience.

Sure you can. I was there last year and a hand full of people on this board have been there. The down side is that you have to go there with a tour agency but imo that's part of the experience.

I think the easiest way is to use one of the tour agencies based in Beijing and go with them. Some countries have friendship organization that arranges trips so that is also an option. Personally I went there with Young Pioneer Tours (partly because they were the cheapest option), I thought they were good but have in mind that they're the company that the American that's now imprisoned in NK used.
>>
>>1161648
Thats awesome that you went there. What was it like ? What were some of the best sight seeing places ? How were the tourguides, do they engage with you?

Also how was the trip there in general ? Was it worth it? Im pretty sure it mustve been awesome. Oh also, was there any sort of propaganda with kim jong un goin on?

oi, visitor from /ck/ and /co/ here. I'll be travelling to Milwaukee for 4 days this weekend and I know very little about this city. About the limit of my knowledge is it's on a big lake and they like having friday fish fries.

So what is there to do here? Food, music, museums, I'm open to anything.

Bay View is the "artsy" neighborhood full of late 20s white people. It's on the south side along the lake. I highly recommend eating at Vanguard, pizza at Classic Slice, and getting an old fashioned at Boone & Crockett. South Shore Park is beautiful any time of year.

The East Side is a college kid neighborhood with a strip of douchey bars on North Ave. If that's your scene you may also enjoy Water Street which has a similar strip.

The art museum downtown was built by a legendary architect and is considered by many to be the gem of the city.

Go to a Brewers game if you can, the tailgating is great for a baseball game.

Avoid the north side, it's all nogs.

Anyone know if the Miller Brewery tour is worth a go? I like all kinds of beer and not too snobby about it.

I live in DC. Where should I visit next, Colorado or either Vermont/New Hampshire/Maine?

It doesn't matter, do one, then next time do the other. From DC, it's just not that big a deal.

That said, if you have something terminal and can only do one before you die, I'd say Colorado -- nothing against the NE, but it will be more similar to what you will have in VA mountains and stuff.
>>
Colorado is lovely, especially if you're an outdoors man. I would recommend going to Vail, Aspen, Boulder,Breckenridge, and Denver (but be aware of what surrounds it). I would avoid Aurora though. You should have a fun time if you chose Colorado.

Sorry to jack your thread but I could use some local knowledge (first timer landing in October):

- is the metro system worth using or is it easier to jump in uber/taxi
-how long from a hotel near Union Station to Ronald Reagan airport
-where can I go in DC/nearby VA/MD to shoot guns ie a range
-your favourite place to have a beer / people watch (I am travelling alone) or meet women
-is going up the Washington Monument worth it?

Many thanks in advance.

I've grown really tired of life these past few years. I don't know if it's depression, anxiety or some other mental issue, but I have lost the will to live my normal life. The only thing that gives me hope and happiness is travelling. My days of travelling were truly the best days of my life. That freedom to do whatever you want without social or financial constraints, no need to stress and worry over the future and just live your life. I probably won't be around for very long so /trv/ tell me some countries to visit before it all ends. So far I've been to:

Thailand
Dubai
Qatar
Bahrain
Spain

I hear ya, the feeling I had during my first real travel experience is one that I have been chasing ever since.. For me it was southern Italy and Greece... that was a long time ago...
The closest Ive been to reliving that enjoyment was Colombia... But I think its more the people you meet and interact with than the country itself... Its all circumstance.

Been to Prague for a couple days once, it's real nice (especially when the weather plays along).

Absolutely hit up the old town square, it's pretty hard to avoid anyways.
>>
>>1159766
English will be enough, plenty of people speaking it on some level, in touristic areas no problem at all.

Sites depends on what you like, i suppose basics are historical sites like Charles bridge, castle, cathedral and stuff.

Travel pics thread -- let's try a theme. Spiritual sites, ceremonies, great religious architecture, and the like.

The dome of St/ Peter's Basilica, the Vatican. I am not Catholic, but that was one of the most awe-inspiring (in the literal sense) places I have ever been. The scale of the place is just overwhelming.

Hey, /trv/,
I'm travelling to Russia next year (Moscow and Saint Petersburg).
I speak basic conversational Russian and can quite easily read and understand Cyrillic.

As an Australian, will I be safe?
Is there anything I should be aware of? do's and dont's?

Thanks in advance

If you can read cyrillic and can speak Russian, you are golden much better off than most tourists there. Use common sense and you will be fine.

This was pretty spectacular too.

I was there in May and the more central areas were absolutely fucking packed and extremely touristy, pretty depressing to be honest. St Mark's square was also under half a foot of water some times during the day.

The only unconventional place I can recommend is the westernmost part of the city, which I think is a residential area. Very much an old italian feel and almost no people there at all.

It IS Venice, you know. That's part of being there.

OP, there is (or was) a fairly high-tourist-factor "play" about Vneice just off St Marks Square, it is pretty cheesy but if you or somebody you are traveling with does not know much about the history of Venice, it would be worth seeing early in your stay -- I know fuck-all about the history, and knowing even a little of it made the time there much more enjoyable.

I'm tired of all the fucking Anti-American shitposts and self-hating Americans. Let's get a real thread started.

German here, my biggest goal in life is becoming an American. Greatest country of all time IMO. Just so fucking beautiful and amazing and I just love everything about it.

Since I don't qualify for most other visa, my main plan right now is to find an American gf to marry for a green card. Shouldn't be that hard, especially with my chubby fetish desu. Oh, I'm also gonna try the green card lottery every year.

Share your progress and tips, senpaitachi.

America were great at cucking you, alright.

Americans are brazen, self-congratulatory, hypocritical people only interested in advancing their own self. This is how America was born, this is how America thrives.

No other such nation in modern history exists, and for good reason.

There are a handful of cities /trv/ shits on, but I enjoyed visiting

>Paris
Lots to do regarding history, art, and food. Beautiful city, although it is on the expensive side.
>Frankfurt
Not the best city, but I enjoyed my time here. Everything seemed super modern, which was a nice change of pace after seeing old buildings for my month before that. Super friendly people overall, but there are a lot of crackheads.
>Brussels
Dope city. Lots of people from all over the world, everyone is super friendly. Crazy good beer for cheap prices. The city is beautiful as well, but there are some places that are full of trash. Walkable enough, didn't use public transport while I was there.

> Athens

Just great to walk around. Only 40mins tram and you're on the beach. The Acropolis and the other small hill right next to it are great

> Bratislava
Loved the atmosphere and clash between architecture (on one side of road you had a nice blue church, right on the other side an abandoned commie hospital). Everything is within walking distance. There's a cute little icecreamshop called Koune which has one of the top 10 best icecream in Europe.
Loved the people, everyone was friendly, especially the tour guide and the people at Blues Hostel.
Going out in the basement of the university was one of the top moments. I got ripped of for taxi to get back to the city though (15 euros instead of 5 but it was the only cab around at 5AM)

Such a shame that commies destroyed part of the old city

Paris for sure.
