Looking to fuck off to a low cost of living big city for three months next summer. The cheaper the food and entertainment, the better, but also want a good price/value ratio.

Major cities I've heard of for longer stays are Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur and Buenos Aires. Any thoughts on these or are there much better options?

KL is pretty boring aside from the food, which is excellent.
>>
Looked into Buenos Aires before and I swear it's actually pretty expensive.

From that thread I concluded Ukraine or Serbia for a well-rounded place to have a good time. Thailand isn't cheao anymore but I would gladly play that premium to have everything the country has to offer that accessible. There's a reason it's such a hot spot

She loves it. She is in Central China. ESL at a University. Whihc I believe she was placed at from whatever ESL program she underwent sent her there. It's not her first time out of the country, she was in the Navy. Also has a Masters in Education. This is her first teaching job. More or less went Navy-Bachelors-Masters-Teaching House-China.

How should you go with flirting with a girl from a different country? She's from China and taking college here in the US. I tried flirting with her through text but she kinda backfired. She said sorry, not for me (we were texting btw). She did call me a handsome tall guy and we are planning to improve her english this weekend. She still wants to meet up and also this is our first time meeting up. I met her on Yik Yak. I'm 6'5 for those of you who are wondering and she's 5'2. What should I do? Should I even try to flirt with her more and see how it goes when we first meet up, or should I move on to a different girl?

Is that Brenda Song? Anyways, just do classical nice guy romantic stuff that is usually trash with Western women these days. Then get her in a situation to make a move, but in a manner that's not obvious, even though you bot know it's going to go down. But so she can feel like it "just happened" and she's a good girl.

Can you give an example? I don't want to fuck up and scare her away.

Like after going out or a date or something you go back to your room for Netflix and Chill. Or walk in the park and try for a kiss. Or during one of your English sessions.

My fucking dad lives in Vero beach maybe a 5 minute walk from the beach and he has decided to just stay in his condo with some food and water.

He says he and my stepmother are going to just stay in the one room the condo with the hurricane safety window. The rest is all just normal glass that he put some plywood in front of.

I have a little excess in my bank account and would like to travel somewhere interesting.

Things you should know about me. I speak conversational Spanish and Arabic (Shami dialect). I'm not planning to shop a ton in any of these locations. I'm interested in both exploring a city and venturing out to different sights in the countryside.

Here are a few places I'd be interested to visit that seem to have consistent fares between $600 - $900 round trip
Bangkok
Bogota
Beirut
Beijing
Shanghai
Moscow

Just wondering if anyone has any clairvoyant insights into why any of these locations would be much better or worse than any others.

shanghai for the lung cancer
moscow for the teen russian sluts

go to Hong Kong instead of Shanghai or Beijing. You can tour HK for two days, ferry to Macau and gamble/fuck for two days, then transit to Beijing. Nonetheless, HK and Macau are better and more tourist-friendly

Not looking to fuck abroad. I'm not that thirsty. I'm not opposed to it, I just don't care to pursue women I don't speak the language of. Plus, night life is a good way to drain funds extremely quickly.

Can you do air plus Hong Kong for a week on $1600. I've seen air cost upwards of $1200 for Hong Kong. I'd love to go there though.

Anyone from New Zealand? Specifically Auckland area? I'm lookinf for punk, metal, indie, alt. scenes/shows or something of the sorts around december-january as I'll be there on vacation. Any cool clubs or bars like that?

Like, "I am afraid of Earthquakes so I won't go to Japan?" No.

Japan experiences a lot of minor quakes that do little or no damage, and a very few larger ones that do some damage in a limited area, and an occasional big ass monster that causes a lot of destruction over a somewhat larger area and kills some people. Experiencing a minor quake gives you an interesting travel story. The odds against having trouble with a major one a pretty long: would you be afraid to go to California?

If you are really concerned, get one of Mr. Pithers's tomatoes.
>>
I was a little worried about earthquakes since I lived in a shitty old building. Then I realized the building was old and shitty but still standing so I would probably be fine.

They all have facilities to handle international flights ie ICE / CBP offices, likely mothballed, that can be reactivated if required.

go where? Are you asking if you can trespass on private property? Is this a park? Loading ramp on a lake? Private drive? One way road? Uhhh...I can't read the pixels are crap too.

OP here,
it is not any kind of private property, for sure
it's, hmmm, like a service road to a certain motorway service area

Greetings /trv/

My elderly mother wants to take a river boat trip on the Mississippi. Several of the family are interested, or willing, to go with her. I'm not sure.

I can't find much information that makes it sound like there is much to do on such a trip, other than disembark and go see some number of old plantations which frankly sounds boring as fuck.

I'd do it for Mom if she needed to have me go in order to have chance to go herself, but since there are others going, I can skip it in good conscience if I want to.

It doesn't seem a trip that many here would have done, but on the off chance -- anybody done it? If so, what sort of stuff was there to do? Did you like it?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1169000
I'd probably do it for the simple reason that it's on a boat.
I love boats.
>>
I'd do it because your mother is old and there's going to be a time when she isn't around anymore and you might as well treasure it while you can.

Also boats are cool.
>>
>>1169000
>I can't find much information that makes it sound like there is much to do on such a trip, other than disembark and go see some number of old plantations which frankly sounds boring as fuck.

What exactly do you have to do which is more interesting than learning about your own country, see new sights, eventually meet new people and bond further with your mother ?
Fucking around on 4chan ?

Jesus, just go and enjoy spending time with your mother while it lasts, she won't be there forever. A memory of a nice boat trip will count a lot more than some ordinary evening you'd have with her otherwise.

We're going to be swallowed by /int/. That fucking sucks.

I imagine every thread about traveling becoming like this:
>hey guys I'm going to [location] and want to do [stuff] what can you recommend?
>DON'T GO THERE YOU FAGGOT THAT PLACE SUCK
>I'm from there and while it doesn't suck here, we don't want your kind around
>LOL such a pleb wanting to do [stuff] be a patrician and do [other stuff]
>tourism is killing [location] and is in general a cancer upon the modern world
>What the fuck, above poster? Tourism is great for the world economy
>I love the bread from [location]
>*more shit posting ensues*

Hi, /trv/.

I saw similar thread about guy asking about permanent relocation from USA to EU.

I answered him as best as I could.
What bothers me, im total oposite, I still see USA as an land of oportunityand new starts are possible.
I even come from country that most people choose as dream paradise vacation destintion in EU.

Since im yurotrash, im not used to walk among armed people and violent crime in general(we have coruption, drugs and usual bullshit but there is almost no place in my country where i would be afraid to walk alone at night, that is to say, i could find trouble but i would have to search it, i wouldnt happen just like that).
What would be most docile, peaceful, slow tempo
>state>city>town in USA?

What's your home country?

In the US, the south is more slow tempo. But you don't want methland, racial tension, fat ass, deep south. I'd say consider Austin, Texas, but you'd be very late to the party. Maybe someplace in North Carolina. (The better of the Carolinas from what I gather. Other anons feel free to weigh in on that.)
>>
>>1168872
Seconding this, Austin and Houston are good bets

Could also go into a small town in a flyover state like Illinois or Colorado, but you will be bored to death
>>
>>1168872
croatia, small country (honestly, some cities in US are bigger than whole country)that has from snowy mountains to grassy flat planes and whole south is basically one huge beach.
We had an war ~20 years ago and people were so feed up with weapons, violence and bad shit in general theyll do anything to avoid anything bad. Its really peaceful.
That is the reason why they wonder WTF is with this huge gun lovin culture.
Probably because there was no war on US soil for an long time!?
If you had one(war), but one really nasty, brutal one, you would throw all that crap and pay bonuses to cops for burden of carryng firearm(would you believe there is an place where people think like that).

But we do have probably top10 worst politicians on the Globe, so, there is that..
As much as they are corrupt, they are incapable as ;i dont even know how to name them...

>unemployment
>doing not a shit all day
>waking up at 1:30
>going to sleep at 3
>eating shit food cus i can't cook

until my travelling starts...

What did /trv/ do with the lag period before you left your town and started travelling?

Wish I had your time, faggot
Do something productive, learn something new
>>
So you have 26 days of:
>preparing, researching, learning some language for the trip
>waking up at 6:00am and making the most of each day
>going to bed at 10:00pm
>learning how to cook some good basic food
>going out and exercising

Sounds like you've got nearly a month of good, solid, and healthy fun/growing ahead of you. Who knows, that might even help you get more out of your travels and more out of your life.
>>
>>1168868
Yeah i guess al of that makes sense. Though the language in the country is English.
But what is making the most of the day when i don't know what to do?
