For cultural landmarks take the bullet train to Gyeongju, aka the museum without walls.

There's a fuckton of shit to do. Shopping, clubs, bars. Itaewon, Hongdae, Visit castles or traditional houses.

I live closer to Busan and I prefer it to Seoul.

If you're under 30, go to Hongdae on weekend nights for the best time of your life. 63 building and namsan tower are also good. There's plenty of malls and shopping if you're interested. There's famous temples too though they don't compare to Japanese or Chinese ones.
