Hey.
Several centuries ago, a human colony ship has landed on a habitable planet. What factors (i.e. equipment failure, mutiny, etc) can contribute to the decline of their society towards a simple decentralized clan-based system? I'm talking full-on loss of scientific and technological knowldedge here.
How will their resulting culture reflect their spacefaring past? For example - what kind of working superstitions they might perpetuate? What will be extremely weird about them, but obvious in retrospect?
For example, one of my ideas involves them suffering from a strange disease. Very rarely, a person goes into shock from physical or emotional trauma, goes into coma, and never wakes up (except for legendary cases). The old wives say that this condition means that his soul went on a journey through the spirit world and got lost.
It is actually a malfunctioning anabiosis genemod.
earthquake shortly after they arrive, lss of written materials, paper, supplies - reduced to a survival situation,, all of the science, math, etc. becomes an oral tradition. Most astronauts don't know about rebuilding a society from scratch (if any) might get lucky and have a geologist with some mining experience.

Issue with the disease thing.
diseases and illnesses are caused by pathogens that have adapted to be infectious to the host animal or plant. The reason why an illness or disease would be lethal is because the illness or disease in question evolved over time to be able to overcome or circumvent our autoimmune response and create symptoms that are harmful to our body but allow for the spread and reproduction of the pathogens.
Any disease or illness inflicted upon a non-native populous will be a result of any pathogens carried over from the planet of origin and surviving the new environment until the native pathogens have had a chance to adapt to the non-native organisms due to initial incompatibility, or get overrun by non-native invasive species of pathogens.
Are Model Railways /tg/ worthy?

As soon as you get fun YES
No rules for it so it would fall more under toy even though the crowds are mutually exclusive.
I remember trying to have some RC discussions but toy is nothing but action figure and lego central

Hahaha how the fuck can Orks even be a threat? Hahaha nigga just pull the triger or something hahaha nigga just walk away.
>>48845108
>Shoot an ork
>Fast forward a few months
>New orks appear
>>48845108
in-fluff orks are super hard to kill right?
>>48845108
Obvious bait thread but
>Physically as tough as a space marine
>As numerous as imperial guard
>Kill one and it spawns hundreds of spores, dozens of which will grow underground into new orks
>Instinctively know how to build tech
>Ramshackle tech works fine for them
>Can shatter a human skull in one punch
>Can lose limbs or have lost several organs without dying or slowing down
>You won a fight? Good for you, orks now think "you'z a good fight" and will DEFINITELY come back with more numbers
>Feel virtually no pain
That's just boyz, shit like Nobz can crush handfuls of space marines in their power armour and punch through vehicle hulls
In Godbound, any non-divine character (mortal heroes, mortal wizards, mortal epic level 25 druids) is helpless against divine magic. They can't resist divine magic, they die automatically to divine disintegration, have no mean to resist divine mind-control, etc.
So even a level 1 Godbound can completely roll over even the strongest of mortal heroes.
Why is this allowed?
>>48844836
>>48844836
Why do you keep doing this? If it bothers you so much just house rule it.
>>48844849
Except, as people said in the other three threads, it's factually incorrect. He just wants to make people mad at a niche game.
Good morning boys and girls, welcome back to Ask A Judge!
Do I get a clue token for the land that comes into play from activing evolving wilds if I have a tracker in play?
>>48844290
Sure. Tireless Tracker triggers every time a land enters the battlefield under your control, not just from you taking the special action of playing a land. It'll trigger from a land getting fetched out by Wilds, put onto the board with Rampant Growth, etc.
If my opponent uses Forked Bolt to hit two of my creatures while i have this in play, how many cards do i draw?
Have you ever been in a situation where you had to choose between tabletop and sex?
If so, what did you choose?
>>48844151
Sex... sex every time
>>48844151
Table top, I was dating the girl and her sex drive far outstripped mine by a long way.she had no sister, but she did have a best friend...
>>48844151
is there time before the planned day? has nobody shown up yet and nobody told me they're on their way? "gonna be late guys go ahead and start without me" for sex.
is it literally during the game? am I the GM? "yeah uh let's take a break here guys, i'll catch up in a bit" and sex again
they knew my struggle, at least.

If you were deep inside Tom Bombadil's domain and he wanted to rape you (let's say Goldberry likes to watch); Is there anything you could do to stop him?
Remind him that he's good at heart and built on Christian values, and that the moment he tries to rape you, he stops being Tom Bombadil and just OP's personal fantasy.
Alternatively, roll a yo-yo away from yourself. He will always chase the yo-yo.
>>48843405
Remind him that he's a character in a children story.
>>48843405
Congrulations, you have done something no one else ever done before. I am absolutely certain that no one ever asked this question to this day. When Tolkien wrote that character, that is the one thing he never could have anticipated. Keep on rolling, you are awesome.

Couldn't find a good answer with Google, so I'm turning to my fellow fa/tg/uys:
I'm playing a Druid in a 5e game and took Magical Initiate for my feat, choosing Bless as my first level spell. Since I don't cast these as a Cleric, just use the respective stat, two questions:
1) Can I use my Druidic Focus to cast the spell, or do I need to purchase holy water since no cost is actually listed with the spell description?
2) Do I get my proficiency bonus on spells learned with Magic Initiate or other feats, or is that only with spells from the Druid list?
If it's relevant, we're using core books only.
>>48842376
Do whatever makes fun and sounds sense.
Any DM who actually makes you keep track of material components is a liar.
>>48842444
Check'd.
And I'm asking for RAW on this, since I couldn't find it. New GM, I want to help him learn it right before he homebrews.
For the second thing as far as I remember the only thing magic uses proficiency for is calculating the save DC, and that is always 8 + Proficiency + Ability Modifier. I might be missing the point if you're talking about something else though
The first thing I have no idea though. You could check sage advice, but it's such a rare case that you should just ask your DM. RAW I would think you'd need a material component or cleric focus as well, but it's kind of dumb to actually require a thing since druid powers are so similar. I imagine most would say the druid thing is fine, and after a few sessions the money for buying a cleric focus is irrelevant anyway. I don't think that sounds particularly worth the feat in any case though
Just wanted to share a purely hypothetical situation I want to be in some day
>Playing a rogue
>actually a pretty nice guy/girl, only stabs and steals from assholes
>decide to raid a nearby rich guy who was a dick to the party
>sneak in and get a bag of loot
>get spotted by a guard
>OhShit.jpg
>He's about to open his mouth
>I roll for deception
>get a good roll
>GM: "Ok, you can say one thing to try to convince him that you aren't a thief"
>Say to the GM fuck that noise I'm doing this in style
>Point behind the guard like pic related
>"HOLY SHIT WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!?"
>when he turns I jump out the nearest window, no matter what floor I'm on
>even if it's to my death from a 500ft drop I'm going to at LEAST go out with a leap of faith
Play.
I want the unicorn of hypothetical situations, OP.
>Play an extended campaign with a few people
>No autists
>No powergamers
>No OOC butthurt
>No drunks
>No favoritism
>No tards
>No cheaters
>No crack looming over the lip of a pair of jeans like the Eye of Sauron over Barad-dur
>No phone games
>No phones
>No metagaming
>Everyone bathes
>Everyone shows up on time
>Everyone has dice and sheets ready
>Everyone makes it to sessions as much as possible
>Everyone pays attention
>Everyone contributes meaningfully
>Everyone roleplays to the best of their ability
>Everyone sticks around until the end
I'm a ForeverGM, and I'm ok with that. I just want one good, solid, complete campaign before I fucking die.
>>48842459
Anon, we both know that's impossible, so you should probably be thankful if a group can fulfill the first 6.
>the party has received new outfits for their new adventure
>>48842082
>the party's next quest
>>48842082
>all female
Try again OP. Or better yet take your shit fetish to /d/ where it belongs.
>>48842082
>the villain lives in a constant state of fear and misery
>he doesn't even notice when it hurts anymore
Just watched Stranger Things and realized that "young kids investigating mysterious stuff in a small town in the mid to late 20th century" is a genre I didn't know I love.
(i.e. Goonies, Sandlot, Super 8, kind of The Iron Giant, etc).
Like Scooby Doo almost but with kids and bikes instead of teens and a van.
By now, you get the point.
What are some games I could play to experience this kind of thing?
Boardgames, pen and paper, you name it.
When I think specifically featuring kids I think Monsters and other Childish things or WoD innocents, but pretty much any horror style game would work.
>>48841769
I can only help you if you speak german, don't mind 50 year olds trying to write like kids and don't want a game focused on the supernatural.
>>48841785
I've heard of Monsters and Other Childish Things I think. I'll look into Innocents. How easy is WoD to pick up and learn?
>>48841803
Well I do not speak German, but that sounds alright otherwise. Thanks though.
I need your expert opinions on something - how do you feel about Confrontation minis? How do they compare to other minis other quality and price-wise? I ask because I'm looking for some affordable minis for my games but feel like keeping my kidneys so GW stuff is a no go and Warmachine is maybe a bit too high tech for my fantasy game.
>>48841737
The metals were/are excellent.
I can't speak for the resin but people say it's good.
>>48841737
They are apparently some of the best minis out there - especially since GW went down in quality and style.
>>48841737
The cadwallon bootleggers are actually pretty high in quality. Ordered some Drune Persecutors for my WoC army before AoS.
