Start reading some stories involving magicians instead of pouring over their game statistics.

The core rulebooks for whatever game you're playing probably have a list of recommended reading material for the genre. Actually reading them can give you inspiration for characters and adventures, as well as greatly enhancing your enjoyment of tabletop RPGs.

Keep the basic concept and reboot the majority of the crunch, have the writers communicate with each other and focus on internal balance over their own views on how their faction's equipment/soldiers/vehicles should run.

Legends of the Wulin is a solidly put together archetypal Wuxia setting. You could call it stereotypical, but given it's a significant cultural genre for China I think it's worth acknowledging that they did a good job. It even contains discussions of the role of filial piety in Chinese society, Confucianism and lots of other historical and cultural details that can add depth and differentiation to a game.

I think actual maximum human rating in all attributes might be having a merit for each attribute that raises the cap by one. So 6. That was the case in story teller, and Exalted did the same with Legendary [Attribute]. So Adorjans Splintered Gale Mortal would probably have every merit it is possible for a human to have, and every mutation available as a merit a human could have. Basically Captain Americas superpower, highest possible potential in anything a human could achieve.

You may want to specify she can be reformed from a breath if slain even if your companions do not have default immortality, due to what she is (like how pokemon had unconsciousness instead of dying because of the world they are from)
