>Hundreds of years ago, the MacGuffins were scattered across the realm.
>Now, you have been tasked with recovering the MacGuffins to save the kingdom; but finding them will be no easy task.
>Hoarded by dragons, stolen by thieves, sought by dark sorcerors, protected by mighty heroes, or whisked off by the very forces of nature, recovering the MacGuffins will surely be an adventure of epic proportions.
Let's talk about where exactly all of these MacGuffins are, /tg/. Dungeons, magical forests, the creative-er the better-er!
I'm no good at story, but i got pics if anyone wants to add to them

No ! stop !
No more fucking space snowflakes !
Sell your spess derps, and purchase an interesting army. Anything will be more interesting than "yet another space marine" apart from maybe necrons because wow metal skeleton soldiers is also boring as fuck.
I'll tell ya what: you're allowed one squad of marines as allies in your new army. That's all.
Is your character bad at something that most people would expect them to be good at?

>she's not good at killing or inflicting pain
Does this count?
Surviving. ;_;

Let me guess, your character can't suck dick worth a damn?
>when you wanna make a really cool metal-themed Goliath Barbarian
>when your dm wont let you make him more metal-themed
at least this is a oneshot. who else dislikes their DM?
>>48876188
How do you make a zinc themed barbarian?
SOMEONE, GET THIS MAN SOME HELP!He's clearly trapped in the 80's and still thinks metal is cool, and not just a variant genre for hipsters who are to hipster for other hipsters to latch onto.

I LIKE THE AESTHETIC!
1. Ork efficiency is based on their belief. They think a thing works, it works, Waaaagh, bullshit, okay.
2. Orks do not just wreck everything with their most basic booboo bullshit.
3. Orks must all be clinically depressed and doubt themselves so hard that they cant believe that their shootas cant penetrate puny huumie tin can metal boxes.
>>48876174
Ork belief only has a mild effect, increased by the number of orks in the area who believe that thing.
One ork believing a vehicle will run, for instance, won't make it run. It takes a bunch of them.
>>48876174
It's not as powerful as you think it is. The Ork effect is basically like reaching into the Warp and covering everything with duct tape and magnets. It keeps their shit from breaking down when they fail to maintain it and it lets some things work that by all rights should blow up upon first use, but it's not just magic.
I mean, it is just magic. But you know what I mean.
>>48876223
>>48876225
All your saying is that one group of Orks need a fuckin pep' talk to believe that their silly willpower guns will penetrate whatever the fuck they want it to.
Got a 40k question.
I'm playing an Imperial Guard game with a couple of friends. The premise is a squad of boots doing grunt work. We just barely survived an ork WAAAAGH and were stationed on a planet that was expecting a tyrannid invasion.
While on patrol around base, we discovered the hard way that there were already feral bugs on the planet, and the hive mind sent forward some Warriors to round them up and soften us up. During the battle, my guardswoman got hit by its Deathspitter, which chewed through her leg to the bone.
So here's my question. Is she fucked? We got to base and ended on her rushed off to see a medic, but is there really anything they can do to salvage/ replace the legs? I know prosthetics and bionics are a thing but I'm not sure if they'd bother giving them to a private. Should I start rolling up a new character now?
Also fuck 'nids.
>Is she fucked? We got to base and ended on her rushed off to see a medic, but is there really anything they can do to salvage/ replace the legs? I know prosthetics and bionics are a thing but I'm not sure if they'd bother giving them to a private. Should I start rolling up a new character now?
What did your GM say?
>>48875779
You don't need a leg to hold the line. You're in the guard for life.
>>48875779
It's the future. Basic prosthetics are a thing. Not much better than modern ones, but still something she can walk on.
Hell, push comes to shove just wear a peg leg.
But then again your DM might want to get creative and have a cogboy want to try an experimental leg on someone expendable. Just try not to scream while its being.. installed.
What does the inside of the Black Library look like?
Have there been any novels that describe it?
For that matter, how do imagine the interior of the webway?
>>48875726
It is dark with a lot of books.
>>48875726
Daemonifuge, arguably non-canon, has an illustration of a webway junction with everything from rangers to fire prisms passing through in different directions.
It's impossible in appearance and looks like people free floating along invisible walkways with no concept of perspective.

>Power [POW]
Used as a form of physical potency or might. Add this to the Weapon Damage of your attacks with the following weapon types: [Axe] [Capture] [Heavy] [Knuckle] [Mace] [Sword]
>Finesse [FIN]
Used to portray fine-tuned senses and natural movements. Add this to the Weapon Damage of your attacks with the following weapon types: [Dagger] [Katana] [Knuckle] [Polearm] [Sword]
>Resilience [RES]
Fortitude and vitality. Status effects are resisted using this stat, and characters have Health equal to 10 + (RESx2) for their maximum Health. Add this to the Weapon Damage of your attacks with the following weapon types: [Shield]
>Affinity [AFF]
Used to show technique and style put into good use. Add this to the Weapon Damage of your attacks with the following weapon types: [Dagger] [Katana] [Polearm] [Sword]
>Luck [LUK]
Your character's personal trait for fortune! When making an attack with a weapon or skill, roll a number of ten-sided dice equal to your Luck. If any of the dice roll equal to or greater than the Crit stat of the weapon used in the attack or skill, it becomes a Critical Hit! Critical hits add 25% total damage on hit, and getting multiple dice in Crit range stacks an additional 25% damage onto the attack! If the Crit range for a weapon is lower in number than 10, and the dice rolls a 10, then it counts as two stacks of Critical Hit for damage. What fortune!
Luck is also used for Loot Chance, following the same rules as rolling a Critical Hit but instead of using a weapon's Crit chance it's against the Loot Chance of the available potential drops. Common and super common items have a chance to drop multiple times! Amazing!
>>48875636
>Speed [SPD]
Each turn characters use their Speed to perform actions.
>[Move] (1 Point) Character moves up to three spaces in cardinal directions. (North, South, East, or West)
>[Attack] (Weapon Speed) Character makes an attack with one piece of wielded equipment, which costs equal to the weapon's Speed stat. If a weapon has multiple damage types then the player must state which damage type will be used for the attack, and adds in the highest appropriate stat to damage to determine the total potential damage dealt in the attack. Limit of one attack per weapon wielded per turn.
>[Message] (1 Point) Character sends a message to a single person, anyone within talk range, or anyone within shouting range that is no longer than 25 characters.
>[Use Skill] (Skill Speed) Character uses a Skill which they have equipped, or is equipped to a piece of equipment worn or wielded by their character. Characters can only use a skill up to an equal amount of times as they have it equipped to themselves or a piece of equipment worn or wielded. *NOTE: Class Skills are normally Passive, but the ones which do require activation will state how much they cost in Speed to activate.
>[Use Item] (2 Speed) Character retrieves and uses an Item in their inventory. If the Item in question is already held in a hand, then this action only costs 1 Speed.
>[Rest] (1+ Speed) Character relaxes and attempts to recover lost Health. Restores Health equal to the amount of Speed spent on this action plus Resilience to the character who is Resting at the end of the turn. This action can only be used once per turn by each character.
>[Overwatch] (All Speed) Character prepares a single action, attack, or skill which will be used when the player specifies. This instance of activation occurs during the Enemy phase. Players can choose to [Overwatch] without stating a specific trigger, but must state what the action, attack, or skill will be or it will not be processed.

I would like to thank our players for waiting, and would also like to apologize for not making certain features of the map clear.
The Cobblestone would be about waist high, and is uneven enough to make it difficult to move through. Moving into a difficult tile costs one movement, but moving out of that tile will cost two instead. For example, a character who spends one speed to move from a regular tile through difficult tiles will move two spaces (one space for one move, second space for two move). Meanwhile a character already in a difficult tile moving through other difficult tiles will need to spend two speed to move more than one space (meaning two speed will get them up to three spaces of movement through difficult tiles)

> Hotfix response
Now that I've had time to think on it, something between Grab, Ambidexterity, and normies getting only one attack per weapon is unbalanced. I'm not really sure which part, and I do think the hotfix was necessary, but it almost certainly needs some more review.

About four years ago, my mother's car got attacked by some kind of superpowered freak. It put my mother in a coma for a good while, and she's been hospitalized ever since.
Now you'd THINK that the cops would be interested in pursuing someone who would and CAN punch cars into oblivion, but pretty everyone I told about what happened laughed in my face.
The only person who actually DID believe me is a girl I met in the park the night after the accident... and thanks to her, now I have my own powers.

"So now I suppose that hearing that awful story has you all pumped up to go ahead with this plan of yours," Lorelei says, taking her hat back from me and returning it to its rightful place upon her head.
"You mean breaking into those kids' place to get their book?" I ask, unsure if that's what she's actually referring to.
"Yes," she nods. "While I do have misgivings about this, I'll still support you if this is what you really want to do."
I'd be lying if I tried to claim that the idea of sneaking into the house of two Branch holders (and powerful ones at that) wasn't a scary one, but there's still the matter of securing their book before Irene's people can do so.
"I dunno," I say, shrugging. "The only thing I can think of to do aside from that is go visit my Mom, and-"
"And you're nervous about breaking the news to her that you're shacking up with me for the time being?"
With her lips stretched into a too-wide grin, Lorelei trails her index finger down my chest.

Why is Pathfinder so popular with weeaboos?
I don't have any problem with weebshit or with Pathfinder, but they really don't seem like two good tastes that go great together.
I know a big part of it is probably inertia, and I guess it makes sense that high-flying fantasy weeby adventures would work well in a high-powered PF campaign where everyone is a caster, but it really seems like there should be a better system for that sort of thing.
What's a better system for that sort of thing?
>how can we make them have fun right?
>>48875149
Hey, I want to have some weeby fun too. I'm just not convinced I should use Pathfinder for it.
Is BESM any good, and if so what's it good for?
What's Exalted 3e got over 2e?
I'm pretty happy with how the containment system is working
So, seeing as how their main page hasn't updated in over two years, it's safe to say that Legend not-so-slowly bled to death after DocRoc went on to do other things.
I love the ideas behind Legend. I think that it had a lot of potential.
What happened to the project?
Did the Kickstarter not make enough money to continue?
Did the creators just lose interest after they got a new project lead?
It's sad, but as far as I understand it they lost their central, lead guy after he got hired by another company and was forced to sign an agreement that he wouldn't work on any other projects outside the company.
Given how little progress there has been since then, it's obvious he was the guy holding it all together and giving them direction. It's a real shame, I loved Legend as a basis, it just needed more fleshing out to be a truly great game.
>>48874894
I'm right there with you, man.
It had such a great foundation to build on -- it just needed another few months of polish and I think that it would have been really successful.
