hey /tg/, how would your paladin go about reviving his dead religion to start a crusade against orcs?
>>49605616
Vicious public executions alongside a rallying banner and sign up sheet nailed to the corpse pile.
DEUS VULT
>>49605616
Do service in name of my religion which greatly benefits the people embattled with the orcs, we're sure to win plenty of converts.
>>49605616
Somehow showing that his religion at least has merit. Maybe pull off some miracle either in defense of some village, or do something nobody in the nation has been able to do.
Risk it for the biscuit
What is the best miniature size for large scale battles, but non-puny infantry?

Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli where under a smoke screen things can get dangerously furry.

>Myrmidon Officers and related characters (Machaon, Ajax, etc.) have Enomotarchos listed under their vanilla profiles
>Achilles v2 and Patroclus have Duo under theirs
Is this a typo?
>>49687511
No. Achilles and his butt boy can make a duo together, they can't form Enomotarchos teams.

I really want to play some Fate (Core or Dresden Files) or something like GUMSHOE (TimeWatch, Mutant City Blues or Night's Black Agents) or Edge of Midnight but I never see people wanting to run them. Even a one-shot of Ryuutama, Costume Fairy Adventures or Golden Sky Stories... Being GMT is suffering anyway what with almost everything being in America. Before anyone says it, I'd consider running one but I'm GMing two games already OK.
>>49608607

>running two games already
Are you me
>>49608776
Possibly, but even if I'm not know that there is someone who understands.
>Orcs made no beautiful things, but many clever ones including machines, tools, weapons, and instruments of torture, were delighted by wheels, engines, and explosions, and could tunnel and mine as well as any but the most skilled Dwarves.
why other settings didn't pick up on their love for machines? I think Orcs building tanks, gyrocopters or guns would be more interesting than generic stone age savage most settings have.
>inb4 evil dwarf counterpart
but evil human counterpart in the form of undead or Chaos are suddenly ok right?
>>49709752
>what is 40k?
>>49709752
Usually that gets shifted to goblins. That said, some settings do do it. 40k actually being one of them.
>>49709767
Shit?
Is there any setting where Orcs aren't shit?
You have to explain first what you mean with "shit".
>>49708149
Warcraft and LOTR.
>>49708149
I think >>49708372 is right, the latest iterations of Warcraft do a good job of developing Orcs. There was also that book series from a few years ago which was called 'Orcs' and developed them as round characters while keeping them right Orcy.
Dwarves are retarded
>be short
>be fond of one handed axes which already have a short range effectively gimping yourself
>inb4 muh tunnel warfare
>despite the fact that they use the same gear when they fight on surface
if they love axes so much they could simply invest in fucking halberds
Don't forget the large beards. Surely those don't provide any advantage in combat.
>>49707064
How many of these threads have we had by now?

>ITT: A bunch of idiots who don't know highschool-level physics argue about how axes work.

I think you're a fuckingmisguided, angry personwho needs to fuckingcalm down, maybe have a cup tea or a glass of waterand bloody-wellhave a nice day/evening
Dwarves are the best standard fantasy race. You can't prove me wrongbecause opinions are not fact
So /tg/ what's your favourite wargame model? It doesn't have to be a powerful unit or a good sculpt or even from a game you like! Just as long as you like it. For me it's Space Marine Terminators of any kind. Not really big on 40k or how the other units look but I just love the design on these. I have no idea why but I just love the design.
Slowly painting up a squad of these.
I'm a big nerd for WW1 so a model that's essentially an amalgamation of every army in it with a garnish of grimdark is fantastic for me. Very simply designed, but gorgeous and they stand out, but not for being outlandish.
>>49707004
Absolutely everything about the Castellax, especially the ones with Mauler Bolt Cannons because those ammo belts are sexy as fuck.
Tear up Marines pretty good too, which is why I usually bring a small detachment alongside my CultMech when the opponent allows 30k.
>>49707021
The Death Korp models are pretty awesome. I wonder if guard would be more popular if these were the standard instead of cadians.
If I made a legitimate pepe card game with high quality print cards would you play it?
>>49700209

You're in the right place, killer.
>>49700209
I was also thinking of making some of that cards lenticular so that some pepe gif images could be made into cards
>>49700209
You'd get sued for infringement.
Also, no.
D&D 4e General /4eg/
What's the character you had most fun with?
If you are GMing, remember...
1. To strongly consider giving out at least one free "tax feat," like Expertise and pre-errata Melee Training.
2. To use Monster Manual 3/Monster Vault/Monster Vault: Nentir Vale/Dark Sun Creature Catalog math. Avoid or manually update anything with Monster Manual 1 or 2 math.
3. That skill challenges have always been scene-framing devices for the GM, that players should never be overtly told that they are in a skill challenge, and that the Rules Compendium has the most up-to-date skill DCs and skill challenge rules.
If you would like assistance with character optimization, remember to tell us what the what the rest of the players are playing, what books are allowed, your starting level, the highest level you expect to reach, what free feats you receive, if anything is banned, whether or not themes are allowed, your starting equipment, and how much you dislike item-dependent builds.
If you wish to talk about settings, 4e's settings are Points of Light (the planes and the natural world's past empires are heavily detailed in various sourcebooks and magazines), 4e Forgotten Realms, 4e Eberron, 4e Dark Sun, and whatever setting you would like to bring into 4e.
Pastebin with all the useful links: http://pastebin.com/paPzDyS4
My favorite 4E character was a Dwarven Hybrid Clerc|Fighter named Adrik. Made it from 1st level to Epic Tier wankery, until a Slaad managed to impregnate him and he died via chest burster.
It really makes me feel old to see that 4E is now considered retro-gaming.
>>49665554
It's less than a decade old in a hobby that's over 40 years old, it isn't retro

HoR rules available at http://heralds-of-ruin.blogspot.com/p/kill-team-rules.html?m=1
Friendo's, if you would so kindly advise me:
Let's say a unit of canoptek wraiths charge my delicious beefy unit of conscripts; do they all get to fire overwatch, or just the dude that got charged? Specifically, I'm referring to the Everyman For Himself rule, and how that influences overwatch/the target of a charge (GW ruleset).
Or did my asshole necron friend explain the rules to me wrong?
Would it make sense for a Breacher to chose to volunteer and become Stealth Shas'ui? It's just a question for an specialist backstory.
>>49651593
In GW Kill Team, yeah, only the dude who is being charged can fire overwatch.
In HoR anyone within 3'' can fire overwatch as well (6'' for Tau with Covering Fire). This applies for units in a squad too, so all of your 5 dudes don't have to fire at the same target if you expect to be receiving further charges that turn.tl;dr play HoR
If these guys aren't errata'd to legendary creatures in the new commander sets then I will be so sad.
Also, glint-eye and yore-tiller are the best nephilim
What do you suppose the four color combos will look like thematically?
>>49704685
Get ready to be sad, wizards doesn't do erratas anymore
>>49704685
thought the new comander set was going to be 4 color? Also i dont think they elevate them to legendary i do hope they are in the comander set i dont have Dune or glint eye.
So a friend of mine was telling me the other day that the Imperial Guard are getting muscled out because they're completely useless. I love the Guard. My favourite faction and the only one I have any interest in collecting. Is this true? Can every other army naturally wipe the floor with armour and tarpits? Can't find anything on the Google about it. Not even one whiny fanboy. So I assume my friend is just making fun of my faction of choice but am I right or is he?
>>49697404
As long as there are imperial planets, there will be an imperial guard.
>>49697404
Guard, as always, will be a relatively well balanced middle-tier faction on the TT, with their ups and downs of course.
Fluffwise they're currently the most powerful force in the galaxy and if everyone wasn't pressuring them/their commanders at the same time they'd have a nice time of exterminating some of the other, smaller factions.
>>49697404
My local area has a ton of retired military guys that all play guard.

Personally, I like the two-coloured lands and I feel like they were built for EDH. The only time I'm really pissed about a land entering tapped is in the first couple turns, and if you play a lot of basics, it allows you to stay on curve without blowing your wad on bullshit. Get 'em while they're cheap, casuals will love this shit.
