Reposting from the end of last thread:
here is another Deed
Nimble (Ex):
Active: The Gunslinger may, as a move action or as part of a move action, spend a grit point to become more difficult to hit. Gaining an additional +2 dodge bonus to AC until the beginning of his next turn. This bonus increases to +4 at 11th level. Anything that causes the gunslinger to lose her Dexterity bonus to AC also causes the gunslinger to lose this dodge bonus.
Passive: The Gunslinger gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC, this bonus increases to +2 at 5th level and every 4 levels thereafter to a maximum of +5 at 17th level. Anything that causes the gunslinger to lose her Dexterity bonus to AC also causes the gunslinger to lose this dodge bonus.
Also another idea for one.
Noxious Discharge (Ex):
Active: The Gunslinger clear his gunbarrel explosively as a standard action, sending built up grime and fumes. This forms a 10ft cone in front of the gunslinger. Any enemy in this cone must make a reflex saving throw, equal to 10+½ his gunslinger level+his intelligence modifier or take 1d6+ 1 acid damage per gunslinger level and be blinded for 1d4 rounds. This cone increases to 15ft at 9th level and 20ft at 17th level
Passive: The gunslinger gains a +1 bonus against saving throws that would render him blind or cause acid damage. This bonus increases to +2 at 5th level and every 4 levels thereafter (to a maximum of +5 at 17th level).
Basically I'm giving an idea of what kind of design you should expect out of the Gunslinger's Deeds.
Many will be debuff based, as Gunslingers (as a martial class) will amount to debuffing at range. Ones that target single creatures will replace an attack in a full attack, ones that do cones/areas/etc. will be standard actions.

What's the point in giving stats to gods? Are your player characters level 20 and trying to kill him?
So I was just brainstorming with another anon on what actors fit the primarchs the best if there were a 30k horus heresy movie/tv show. Feel free to make changes where you see fit, it was just a quick draft.
Lion el Johnson
>Sean Bean
Fulgrim
>Luke Evans
Perturabo
>Michael Chiklis
Jaghatai Khan
>Ken Watanabe
Leman Russ
>Travis Fimmel (lead character in "vikings" so it seemed like a good pick)
Rogal Dorn
>Harrison Ford
Konrad Curze
>Christain Bale
Sanguinus
>Dominic Cooper
Ferrus Manus
>Gerard Butler (we need a different one, we just )
Angron
>Dave Bautista
Roboute Guilliman
>Kiefer Sutherland or Gary Sinise (split decision)
Mortarion
>Tom Hardy
Magnus the Red
>Morgan Freeman (voice acting only, Magnus would be 100% cgi)
Horus
>Mark Strong (has a history in 40k)
Lorgar
>Matt Damon (look up a picture of matt bald, and he looks like he can play the part)
Vulkan
>Idris Elba (not up for discussion)
Corvus Corax
>Danny Trejo (kek)
Alpharius/Omegon
>Nolan North (voice actor only, always has face covered for mysterious vibe)
>>49680014
I'd go for kiefer sutherland
>>49680014
If you really have to include Alpharius/Omegon, have their voice actor act all the Alpha Legionnaires
>>49680041

No, but my basement is. You can never hear the screams.
Isn't sound-proofing mad expensive?
Your suggestion comes at most convenient time.
What's the price tag? Preferably in europoor money.

Its... kinda empty.
Like, really, really empty.
Perhaps some gods will form and breath life into this void?

Scion 2e is now on Kickstarter:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/200664283/scion-2nd-edition-tabletop-rpg
Scion is a mythologically focused urban fantasy game set in a world where Gods and mythical beasts still walk the earth at the fringes of society, their worship never truly going away. Players take on the role of the children of these deities, blessed with ichor and extraordinary gifts. The line's core feature is the rising tiers of power as your character goes from their Origins as an exceptional mortal, growing into a powerful Hero, taking on the mantle of a Demigod, and finally reaching Apotheosis and taking your place alongside--or in opposition to--your divine parents as a God.

and here
http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/187949/Storypath-System-Preview
And here's a preview of one of the more popular pantheons of Gods, the Greco-Roman Theoi:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B01LwCGSbE8kZmtQNHJjd3cyRkE/view
Today's topic:What are your preferred inspiration sources for Scion? American Gods is the ur source for this whole game's idea, but we have a lot to pick from in literature, modern and classic, and a variety of movies and comics and games out there. What do you like most as your inspiration?
>>49662731
>American Gods is the ur source for this whole game's idea
Except the game never has been any good at pulling it off and is getting further away from it with every passing day. You can say that Gygax INTENDED D&D to do Elric of Melnibone all you like, it doesn't make it anymore of the game.
>>49662815
>Except the game never has been any good at pulling it off and is getting further away from it with every passing day.
I'd argue it's getting better at it.
The original game did not take into account multiple versions of deities. This new version has aspects, multiple versions of deities (like the Greek/Roman pantheon).
This actually enables the stories that existed in American Gods far more, as one of my favorite scenes in that book was when Shadow went and met another version of Odin to give Mr. Wednesday's glass eye.
That scene wasn't possible in old Scion. With some mild alterations to the core setting, it's totally possible in this one.
Granted yes, it doesn't tell the same setting. That said, the current setting is NOTHING like Wicked+Divine. There's no 90-year cycle, no 2-year life limit, and none of that other shit that was fundamental to the plot. This game is as divorced from that setting as it is from American Gods. It takes inspiration from both, not concepts whole-cloth.
>>49662815
Not saying its good or not, but the game owes a lot to American Gods in the modern fantasy fan group consciousness.
What does your character believes in /tg/ ?
I like playing characters that have given up hope in highpowers/government/whatever. How it works can change, for example people losing hope as the campaign progresses or maybe gaining it back.
>>49680583
He believes that the humans are now weak enough again to begin retaking back the lands that belonged to his elven ancestors.
He also believes that the humans responsible for the quasi-genocide of the elves should burn.
>>49680583
You actually nailed it, OP.
Gonna steal that in case I ever get asked that again.
He's a Fighter/Barbarian that lost "everything in the war" when he was a younger man. Now that he's approaching late 30s, he's since rebuilt his life through acts of unscrupulous violence, settled down with his elf bard girl, recently had a son, and is on his "one last mission".
I'm sure this won't end poorly at all.
Pic related: basically how I'm playing him only with more of a proactive assholeish side.
Animorphs. Most of you've read it, and if you haven't, the people who have would recommend it. The source of childhood nightmares, and an exercise in gory detail from a children's book series. It's got child soldiers, bodysnatching aliens, buckets of paranoia, the horrors of war, superpowered androids, and shapeshifting. It's a story where the heroes are fully prepared to commit suicide rather than be captured, because being captured means they'll stick a body-controlling slug into your brain through your ear cavity, and use you to do it to all your friends. Where you don't know who to trust, because they may already be lost. Where every person the heroes must fight and kill are innocent, only hosts of the actual parasites.
So we're here to figure out a way to distill what makes the Animorphs series what it is into a TTRPG experience.
All I know is, we're probably going to need a sanity mechanic.
>>49638244
I don't know anyone who's read it.
>>49638244
Normally I wouldn't recommend it, but it feels like it would be a good fit for Eclipse Phase.
These book covers always made me laugh

Golarion.
It's been running for 10 years and has had dozens of adventures, supplements and campaign books for it...
... and yet, when it dies, nobody will mourn its passing, no one will attend its funeral, and no one will remember it.
It's a setting of nothing, of wasted potential, and that's the saddest setting of all.
THE HEKTOR HERESY is a collaborative writing project that aims to re-tell the age old story of the Fall of Mankind into the Grim Darkness of the Future. We started by supposing a slightly different end to the Age of Strife, with different Primarchs being born in the Himalayzian Mountains and a different (but recognisably 40k) galaxy awaiting the Great Crusade. Things are now getting to the point where Hektor's rebellion is being covered.
We're happy to welcome new contributors. If you'd like to have a read of the project (and please, don't pitch an idea without having read anything!), there are a few possible starting points. The main page is:

I'd also like to set the record straight. Exactly one person was ever "kicked out" of the project, and that was Nathanog. And it wasn't because his work didn't agree with Lumey or anyone else. It was because his work was terrible and he was a toxic influence who would throw temper tantrums and personal attacks at anybody for any reason. Several of the Anons who are no longer working on the project left because they were tired of taking his abuse.
