How hard would it be to put a m5od-R2 5 spd in a 2003 grand marquis?
Hey /o/, I've got a 89 Grand Marquis, and I want to improve my gas mileage; it has a 5.0 liter v8 (302ci).
I know to drive like a grandpa (lightly feather the throttle, don't do sudden breaking constantly, use cruise control as much as possible, etc.) but what else can I do to improve my mpgs? It's a summer car, so I won't be driving it around too much longer, but for next year I'd like to know. I plan on getting a wheel alignment and rotating the tires, but what can I do?
Thanks
>I've never had more than 2.2L of displacement
>I've never had more than 4 cylinders
>I've never had a limited slip diff
>I'm a really bad driver
>I've had multiple accidents
At least no one ever got hurt.

Can these cars turn? They seem to be just used for drag racing
Used for more than just drag racing.
not really
if you wanted an actual good jap performance in the 90s you got an EVO WRX RX7 NSX or GT-R

nah they werent sport's cars, they were grand tourers. Made okay power for merging and overtaking on the highway, but cruising was the main function. These werent meant to be driven hard.
Fuck this looks awesome

You must travel across the spine of Africa from Zimbabwe to Namibia but it must be done in a car made before the year 2000. What do you pick?
Infinite gas/diesel and it's safe so military stuff isn't necessary
300D
Africa is FULL of replacement parts for them. IF you need them in the first place.

I'm making something like this for anime midwest. I just finished stripping down a furniture dolly to work as the wheels.
Next project is to make a subframe of something like maybe plywood that'll be lightweight enough to carry yet also strong enough to hold a 3 lb bluetooth speaker + the cardboard frame.
After that a bit of painting, some /osg/ slaps, and a lot of HI NRG eurobeat and I'll be ready.

That's a big air filter.
Is there something like the sticky for italy/europe? I really need a cheap car that can last and wont break after 200 meters but still decent, not a 40bhp panda.
>implying
Fuck you old 4WD Pandas are the reliablest things on Earth.
Posting here since I'm interested too.
My parents want to buy me an used car; I just want basic, reliable A to B transportation(plus I'll need to install lpg kit to avoid insane fuel prices.)
Note that law requires that the car has no more than 70kW(=93HP), nor more than 55kW/Ton(=73HP/Ton).
Any recommendation?
How do tire manufactures stack up against each other? Can you make a tier list of them from best to worst?
Motomaster is top tier.
not exactly a tier of manufacturers, but look at country of origin...
tier 1
Japanese
>tier 1.5
American (made in mexico most likely)
>tier 2
other south asia / asian countries (thailand, s korea, etc)
>tier 3
shit
>tier 4
china

That's a stupid way of looking at it.
You have regular tires, which no-one cares about.
You then have performance tires for the street.
Pirelli corsas, pilot supersport 2, ad08R and toyo proxes 888 are all good
each has their own benefit for driving style
Then you move onto racing tires and drag tires.
