alright, i want to buy a cheap (2-3k USD) sporty manual rwd car and im stuck currently between a miata/240sx and a third gen/foxbody

the real question is: handling or power? which is more fun? im planning on welding the diff whichever way i go for #fun

you're not gonna get anything good for 3k. it won't be clean and it will be high mileage. save your money.

please fuck up a shitty mustang instead of a good 240 or miata

Miata will feel awesome around the corners, light, and spirited. But on the highways it'll feel like your driving a Geo. About the same would go for the 240sx maybe a little heavier and faster on straights.

A turd gen will give lots of V8 feels. Fun in the sense of tons of body roll in corners, every turn is a gamble with death. Plenty of noise, the smell of fumes, and drowning in pussy. Not necessarily fast but it feels like it and both have plenty of aftermarket to become fast in straight lines in the future.

is there a safe way to drill into your car to install kits or do people do it knowing that it'll really hurt the body panel over time?

im just confused by all these 100k+ mod cars that people are drilling into their body panels to install rocket bunny (and similar) kits

can probably afford replacement panels.

Is there any point of running say 245 on the front and 225 in the rear on a track oriented FF setup? I don't understand why you wouldn't just opt for 245 in the rear as well. Bigger is better, right?

Anyway, post track oriented FF's

Mock up touge battles. You post a picture of your car and its mods and or a story about it or some shit.

Then the person who post below you is the one you race on the Touge

Others then vote on who would win and why. mock up green text stories encouraged

Set up another bench racing tournament. People post their cars and mods, you randomize them into brackets, then set up strawpolls for /o/ to vote on.

Eliminate until we have a winner.

You've lost it, gone off the deep end.

The government fucked you, your lover chested on you, your family was brutally murdered by robbers, you lost your house, your boss fired you, someone ran over your dog, and an anonymous poster on the Internet said your favorite car was a shit.

You've decided to get revenge on the world, /o/-style. You have $150,000 from inheritance, the vehicles and weapons you currently own (yes, you can use the money to buy different vehicles and more weapons), and access to your best friend's full service garage who doesn't ask questions and keeps your build well hidden from the public.

What do you build, and how do you implement your machine of vengeance?

Hey, So I never see them mentioned or talked about (Good OR bad) but I was wondering what /o/'s opinion on WJ jeeps is? I have an 04 I bought on impulse almost a year ago, and its not bad, but I may have liked my ZJ more, despite what a beater it was. Just wondering what people here think, or what I need to watch out for/parts I should buy. INB4 4runners are just better. Whats up guys you're listening to stryker here on crash FM
Just need a few minutes of your time to cover the rules of the burnout road.
To be successful in burnout you need to be winning races , but youre not going to win races unless you take risks. The big reward? thats easy You earn boost!
using boost gives your car a speed BOOST!
and you can use this boost at any time to keep you in the heart of the action
Ok heres the low down r, risks can be taken anywhere here in the burnout road.
You take risks you get rewards. Get it?!
Near misses with other cars.
Driving on the wrong side of the road!
Drifting around corners.
Tailgating you rivals.
Escaping crashes.
and so it goes on. You can even string these together to get two of these happening at the same time.

Ok earning boost is one thing , but to win it, you need to steal it.
Battle with your competitors by
Rubbin'
Slammin'
Shunting.
And gring with em'
Youll, get a quick boost fix and you can use it immeadiatly to mix things up.
If you want to take a bigger risk try taking out the comptition.
Take downs are when you wipe out one of your rivals and if you do it you'll grow youre boost bar and fill it but if you get taken down your boost bar gets taken down too.

Ok something new is crash after touch. If and when you crash activate impact time. When you are in impact time you can steer your wreck, how cool is that?
Use crash after touch to gain after touch take downs.
Or to get to the places other crashers cant reach.
That was a public service announcement brought to you by crash FM

So I got this 2003 subaru legacy 2 months ago and all was fine until today. I was driving like normal when the engine started making a grinding noise. the noise is rev dependant and when I press the gas there is no resonse and then something catches and the noise goes away. Can someone tell me what this means. Thanks for reading

Does it happen if you rev in park or neutral? If it's only when in gear, your have a tranny problem, not an engine problem. That's what it sounds more like to me based on the very limited info you have us.
