Are these batteries just memes? I'm looking for a decent aftermarket battery since mine is starting to die. Probably going to upgrade stereo and speakers soon after.
Just get something with good decent capacity, good power and a good warranty
Also dont be a stupid nigger and put a new battery in without checking the alternator
>>15994654
They are SHIT. Shit. Shit. We CONSTANTLY replace them at the shop. Normal O'reillys batteries last longer.
>>15994654
Keep your radio stock, fag.
Post your stereotypes.
For instance, why was I not surprised at all to see that the douche who honked at everyone, sped around and tried to cut someone off, and then hit a school bus was driving a ___?

Camry drivers are shit, women drivers are shit, ethnics (excluding Japanese tofu delivery boys) can't drive.
BMW drivers are easy pickin's. There's like a whole sub-genre of them on YT.

I have 200-250k to spend on a car. What should I get? It needs to attract women also. Main reason I'm spending this much on a car.
GBP not USD btw, I'm from England.
100 civics.

Don't suggest anything other than bmw, porsche, mercedes, aston martin or bentley
I'm not an irl autist to drive the shit most of you idiots do
okay so I changed the spark plugs in my car and now they are making a loud popping sound coming from the engine periodically. It's a 2005 mustang gt. I didn't gap them and I made sure everything was tight. It seems like it's only coming from the right sound.
wtf could this be?
And they are exactly the same plugs as the previous ones?
You could try switching them around and see if the problem still continues
>>15994615
yeah man, motorcraft sp514 oems
I don't have any engine lights coming on so I have no idea cylinder it is
It had rough idle at first but now it doesn't. Except every minute or two the engine makes a loud popping thumping sound.
Also it literally NEVER did this before the change. None of this.
why is rwd considered superior
hektik skidz
>>15991244
Weight shift when you accelerate puts RWD cars at an advantage over FWD cars because the weight is shifting over to the drive wheels.
Basically: FWD is for easy maneuvering at low speed while remaining compact and leaves the cabin more spacious (no drive shaft tunnel), and RWD is ideal for hard acceleration and has better side-to-side weight distribution

Nah
Really want to either buy a turbo'd Civic or buy a stock Acura Integra GSR and turbo it. I know about engine rebuilding and yadda yadda. Are Turbos in general a meme? Are they expensive to maintain? Is it really worth to turbo a car?
>>15992430
As someone who has never owned turbo but has been in a couple and has been dying for one forever, id have to say its up to you to decide what you want. Turbo boost is not unlike ejaculation. A buildup to an amazing time. If you dont know how to turbo do youre research cause that shit can get real expensive real quick if you fuck up. Also as long as you arent on boost consistently it can provide a very slight boost in fuel economy.
>A meme
Take that back you nigger.
>>15992430
Unless it uses its own oil a turbo will decrease oil change mileage by a third if not half. Not really worth it for a DD, IMO.
Bump pls wait for my response (pg 10)
Can someone explain to me why people love this car so much? I just don't get it.
If you compare it to it's contemporaries, R32, NSX, RX7, those are all cars that were made to go racing, succeeded on track in close to factory spec classes. They all are great to drive with fantastic feedback versus the numb steering of the pigfat Supra. They're very much sports cars whereas the Supra is just a GT.
Then there's the looks. The JZA80 is just an amorphous blob. The R32 is aggression defined, the RX7 is absolutely gorgeous from every angle, the NSX is tight lines and classic supercar proportions.
If you look at the A70 it's got beautiful 80s aesthetics, the A80 though, ugh.
Of course, I know people will talk about POWER AND 2J and how easy it is to get lots of power from them. But look at the 35 BMWs, they make more power than Supras, AND for cheaper, AND they can actually handle, AND they are more luxurious, AND more fuel efficient and do I need go on, they're just better in every way.
So why do people like the JZA80? It's a turd with no redeeming features.

Is hating the MK4 Supra a meme now?
Is there a reason one should buy lexus over the big three?
>shitty interior desing
>infotainment system older than roman empire
>not as luxorious and smooth as benz
>not as sporty as bmw
>not as practical and refined as audi

Also, if any of you own this car, note that if you are in tough situation always go for full frontal crash, never try to dodge because chances are you wont succeed and will just make small overlap kinda situation. But who am i kidding. Thread is full of shitposting bus riders and those who bought it desirve to die for having bought camry for twice of its price
I appreciate the irony in that Japanese manufacturers were caught with their pants down and were offering 6 cylinder 3.5 L or 3.7 L engines whereas the German competition were downsizing to 4 cylinder turbocharged engines already.
So much for Japanese vehicles lacking displacement. Acura and Infiniti only just now got rid of their antiquated 6 cylinder engines.
Lexus is the last one to go. They really need to replace their drivetrain combinations in their lineup.

What's a good car under $5k to learn how to drift in?
Would any mods be necessary, or just money for new tires?

Looking to buy a project for my little brother and I to work on and found this 1965 Volkswagen beetle that is being sold by the original owner with minor surface rust and comes well documented. It is ~95% original and the interior needs work.
it also comes with 5 engines that are not in the car.
"There are 2 1600cc, one long, and one short block. There are also 2 complete engines, one 12-volt 1200cc motor, and one modified with Porsche pistons. The original motor, which came with the care is partially restored"
He's asking $1500. Is this a good place to start?
>>15970926
Totally.
Bugs are a good first project because they're simple.
Takes like 4 bolts, a floor jack and 5 minutes to drop the engine.
Save those blocks, magnesium fires in the dunes will make you cool.
>>15970926
My older brother learned on a 72 super beetle our dad got him, and now he is very mechanically inclined, so yeah, go for it
>tfw never allowed to work on it and now struggle with anything harder than basic maintenance on my car ;_;
>>15970963
>>15970972
awesome to hear. Ive never had a project car and I figured I could learn something from this as well.
Im assuming parts are fairly easy to find since a shit ton of these were made?
