Is the Five Seven any good as an open carry gun, or is it just a range toy / HD weapon? My range are being cucked into the next dimension by antigunz neighbors and they won't allow any pistol with bullets over .30 inches in diameter.

That is literally the most retarded thing I've ever heard. If your range gives into that shit I wouldn't support them.

Looking for a new carry piece and it has to meet the following criteria:
>DA/SA
>compact or subcompact
>manual safety
>10+ rounds and capable of accepting higher-capacity mags

I've been looking at the CZ-2075 because I love my CZ-75b and would like to keep my format to something I'm used to but I'm open to other options. The CZ 2075 would be a good bet for me because they feel comfy, ergonomic, have a flush fit of 10rds and can take 15-16-17-19-30rd mags if the need for such arises.

Any other ideas you guys might have? Mainly going with 9mm but if you can find a .40/.357SIG/.45/10mm that meets the same criteria I'm all ears.

Is the LCP any good or is it shit?

Normally I would carry a 15rd 9mm for CC, but in professional places I'd rather have no chance of printing.

So to be a gentleman I'm considering one.

Just tell me if it's trash.

I've shot one, and might be able to pick it up for under $100 or a trade. Very, very easily pocket carried, even without a holster. +P rounds are very stappy though.

It's a great carry gun, even if you're a woman you can easily carry it.

Sights are terrible, but it's a self defence gun without a doubt. Even at 25yards I could still hit the target multiple times without ever firing it before.

Snappy, accurate, small. =carry gun.

I don't like the .380 round, but I might get it.
>>
smooth, small, reliable, feeds well, good pocket gun / backup gun. It is a bit snappy indeed
>>
>>30754547
Also wanted to say, it's not a fun range gun. My S&W Shield isn't a fun range gun, but the LCP is even worse. Not enjoyable at all. It's literally just a carry gun, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Ask someone who just got banned from his range anything.
Story:

>So I have been going to this range for 3 years now

Many great shooters go to this range

>So today, I was shooting my glock, and before my last round this guy came up to me and said
>"Dont shoot the plates that much, these plates are already broke"
>I said "okay" and put my headphones back in
>I could see it he was still talking to me so I said
>"You dont have to say it twice, I understood"
And he went back to doing his thing, everything seemed normal

>I continued shooting
>Meanwhile I could see that he was talking to these really big guys, who are friends with the owner
>At the very end of my range session he just suddenly poped up like 1ft from my face
>"The next time I talk to you, you answer with respect"
>"I did answer normally what is your problem?"
And basically he was very upset and I just didnt care, until he was like
>"Im gonna fucking hang you, you little shit"
>I respond "It really took you so long to muster your courage and come here just now?" (I was pretty loud at this point and a lot of people was noticing)
>So he grabbed my T-shirt at my chest and pushed me really hard, I almost fell on the ground
Now, this guy was kinda chubby, but way bigger than me, even though I see myself pretty strong, I cant fight, and It seemed to be a good idea not to fight at the range.
>So I went to the exit (he was following me) and told the girl there that this guy punched me, before she could say anything the range owner turned up (bodybuilder, bigger than both of us combined) (continue)

He was taking the other guy's side from the start, didnt even want to listen what I was saying
>"You shoot like an animal, you always shoot every plate even I told you once to stop that."
This is true, he told me that a couple of weeks before, but I have mostly shot the paper ever since, I swear.

He didnt care what I was saying, he didnt care this guy started a fight at his range, so I packed my things and left.
He didnt say I was banned, but it was pretty obvious that he dont want me there anymore:
And this was such a shock to me, I was admiring these people since I started shooting they were like heroes for me.
>>
>>30754342

First of all learn to greentext

Secondly since you didn't shoot the guy the second he started physically assaulting you I am going to assume you are either a huge bundle of sticks or this story is fake
>>

or you know, maybe op didn't want the guys ARMED FRIENDS to just immediately shoot him back.

ITT discuss the best states, town and regions for living innawoods

I really want to move to Alaska but I dunno. Anchorage is too big city, Mat-Su is too suburban. Southeast is noice but there's no roads so you're basically limited to the woods near town. Kodiak is no debate because fucking Kodiak bears, mang. I also wanna stay out of the Eskimo native towns.

Right now I'm looking at Fairbanks, Seward and Valdez. Seward and Valdez in particular look very nice, plus Valdez usually has good employment opportunities on the Alaska Pipeline

Alaska is a shit state, dude.
>Pay MSRP or greater for EVERYTHING
>Groceries, guns, cars, clothes, etc. are all 25% or more what you pay in the lower 50
>Deal with tons of alcoholic and drug addict whites in any city with a moderate population
>General white trash almost everywhere is super common
>Deal with tons of alcoholics and drug addict natives and their tomfoolery everywhere, fucking everywhere
>Nearly impossible to find a girl who is attractive, hasn't had depraved sex with everyone, and isn't an alcoholic/addict by 15
>Mosquitoes, mosquitoes like you could never even imagine during summer

On the other hand the gun laws are fantastic, so is hunting and fishing, and generally it's not hard to find somewhere to be left alone.
I'd honestly suggest somewhere like Montana, Dakotas, Minnesota, etc. for similar/same benefits without paying out the ass for everything and being disconnected from the lower 50, but that's just me.

Stop what you're doing and watch this video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEG-ly9tQGk

Lars Andersen has worked hard to debunk the Hollywood myths of modern archery, and it pays to learn what they are and how to avoid them yourself. Modern archery teaches that you need THINGS to be good, compound bows that are dangerous and expensive, fiber optic sights that won't make you a better shot, stabilizers that build in you bad habits. THESE ARE NOT THINGS THE BEST ARCHERS OF THE PAST USED. Lars scoured ancient texts to rediscover the knowledge lost to time, to corporate meddling, to help the archery community as a whole return to their practical and useful roots.

Things will not make you a better archer, practice, dedication, learning the lessons of those before you and applying them to your training, these will turn you into an archer of old proper capability.

I have been offered a Tanfoglio P19 at very reasonable price. Shot "just a few boxes, maybe 750 rounds. Definently under 1000 rounds".
One guy I know bought it two years ago and has decided to go nogunz (personal reason) and is now clearing out his armory.

As far as I have understood, Tanfoglio are relatively cheap CZ-clones that are pretty popular in europe.

Any experiences about Tanfoglio?
I haven't really been dealing with them before, but so far my understanding is "Serviceable, but nothing spectacular. Will do the job."

Which is just fine for me for the price he is offering for more or less almost almost-new gun.

So... does tanfoglio have some major drawbacks I should be worried about? Or something I should know?

No comment on the amount.
I have checked the local "used-tanfoglio" price range and the price is, as said, a very reasonable one.

I am seeking advice on the quality only. Anything I should know about tanfoglio?

such as "prone-to-jamming", "shoddy materials", "Decent finishing" or "works just as fine as the original CZ".

if its a cheap gun just buy it and treat it like a cheap gun. if something breaks you replace that part or the whole gun cause it was cheap and it doesnt matter.

Talk to me about Barrel Harmonics?

I'm trying to educate my self, but some of the material is a little dense for me.
16 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
Everytime the gun shoots that shit whips around. If it's consistent (no extra contact points or consistent contact points on barrel) then it's accurate.
>>
To improve accuracy you must sing your barrel the appropriate tune.

18" barrels tend to like blues, anything shorter starts liking more hi-tempo stuff.
>>
>>30753967
You see, each bullet leaves the barrel at a different time. Maybe it's .03 seconds but the next round is ever so slightly different in its charge so it takes .028 seconds. This means as the barrel waves around during the shot it will be in a ever so slightly different position at that time and alter the course of the bullet enough to affect your target. This is why bull barrela are good. They just whip less and have less deviation. This is also why consistency in loading ammo counts. If each bullet has the same barrel travel time, then each one will exit at the same point in the barrel "whip travel"
