I'm looking to invest in my first compound bow. I have a tight budget, and I was looking at the SAS Scropii 55. It looks to be good, but I'm not sure. Does /k/ know anything about this bow? Thanks, pic related.

It's a light draw weight. The Diamond infinite edge is pretty stack up entry bow that won't break the bank.
I've always wanted to get into bow hunting, but then I see injuries that people get and I decide it's not worth it.

Stop what you're doing and watch this video.

Lars Andersen has worked hard to debunk the Hollywood myths of modern archery, and it pays to learn what they are and how to avoid them yourself. Modern archery teaches that you need THINGS to be good, compound bows that are dangerous and expensive, fiber optic sights that won't make you a better shot, stabilizers that build in you bad habits. THESE ARE NOT THINGS THE BEST ARCHERS OF THE PAST USED. Lars scoured ancient texts to rediscover the knowledge lost to time, to corporate meddling, to help the archery community as a whole return to their practical and useful roots.
Things will not make you a better archer, practice, dedication, learning the lessons of those before you and applying them to your training, these will turn you into an archer of old proper capability.

The joys of shooting carbon

Mmhm. I still do it though, just gotta check every arrow with a bend test before firing. No fucked up hands yet.

anything better that carbon for not fucking you up?

Wood is nice to shoot, i suppose. Expensive though. Other than those two options i don't know.

I feel like wood still wouldn't be that awesome. Working at a woodmill for 2 years caused some splinter ptsd

You would probably be using gloves or not be in that much contact with the arrow though.
That said, after maybe 100 firings you probably would get splinters.

Carbon's fine, just get the right spine rating, and flex check any time they have a hard strike.
Hi /k/. If you remember me from yesterday, i was the guy who retardedly bought a bow for the left handed, when i was in fact, right hand right eye dominant. A few questions.
If I shoot with both eyes open, does this mitigate the problem?
If i close my dominant eye and get used to shooting with my non dominant eye, is that a solution as well?
If those two arent any solutioms, what options do I have besides "get a new bow".
