Define powerful. If were talking raw destructive potential, Army or air force. If were talking ability to destroy stuff self-sufficiently with any input from other branches, marines unequivocally.

Do women think owning a gun is attractive?
117 posts and 21 images submitted.
>>
Depends on the women, mostly to do with upbringing.
>>
only if there's one handgun, and even then it depends on if the guy is handsome or not
If you're ugly, you can't get away with it.
No matter how you look, having an arsenal is abnormal. Even being really handsome doesn't help

Oh yes, very. You should introduce yourself with "Hi I'm Anon, and I've got 50 guns in my trunk."

Military function during an apocalypse. How would the US military function during a time like this? I haven't seen too many zombie movies that have military action being shown. Lets assume though that the zombies are going by walking dead rules which is they don't run and anyone who dies turns unless by headshot. Would they be significantly smaller because of the amount of soldiers leaving to go to their families? Would they shoot everyone not in uniform on sight? Would they fall back to a few bases in each state or one large base? Would they use ships that are secure? Wouldn't we have enough firepower to take out all the "walking dead" and control the population?

The reason you don't see the military active in zombie movies is because they would clean up in a week against anything short of l4d or I am legend zombies. Zombies just aren't threatening in the face of tanks and gunships, so writers either handwave them as already defeated or make the zombies impossibly bomb/bulletproof (looking at you max brookes).
>>
>>30746856
Zombie apocalypse is low tier walking dead even more so, military and milita can stop em.

The USAF is looking at an OTS purchase for the OA-X program. Basically a plane to replace the A-10 in permissive environments.

Initial purchase could cover 20 planes is centred on the AT-6 Wolverine by Beechcraft and and A-29 Super Tucano by Embraer.

Should they proceed with this acquisition, and if yes, which plane?

https://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/usaf-seeks-two-new-close-air-support-aircraft-427769/

P.S. there is still another A-10 replacement program called the AX-2.

Why not just build new A-10s with more modern components?

If it ain't broke do we have any reason to fix it other than giving the military industrial complex an excuse to waste our taxes?

The original company that developed the A-10 no longer exists

Also the OV-10G+ was already tested in Syria

If there is a genuine need for this sort of aircraft, then yes. It isn't our place to question their judgement.

>which plane

I'm biased towards the Super Taco, but either aircraft is probably adequate.

Alright /k/, my grandfather passed this week and we found this among his belongings. It's obviously seen better days, but I come with 2 questions. How can I clean it up without damaging it? Can you help me identify it?

The manufacturer's name is stamped on top of the gun, but is very corroded. My best guess is "HORTLANN" or "HERTLANN", with a second word that isn't visible. Those didn't bring up anything helpful on Twitter. Can you guys offer any guidance?

How much Damage do you guys think a flare gun would do. more importantly, do you guys think it would be an effective deterrent at close range, say if you shot it off in someones face.

The reason I ask is because Canada is fucked when it comes to self defense laws and what you can and cannot carry. also these are incredibly cheap compared to guns and specifically ammunition in Canada

First is the 45gr Barnes Banded Solid in .224. These bullets can be loaded into 5.7x28mm or 5.56/.223.

These bullets were de-facto BANNED by the ATF after they reclassified .223 as a pistol caliber. I have seen a box of 50 of these bullets up on GunBroker for as high as $500.

When loaded into 5.7x28 at even a modest pressure, these bullets will penetrate several IIIa Kevlar panels back to back, and then a windshield and keep going, out of the Five-seveN pistol. They also penetrate quarter inch steel plates.

Next is Elite Ammunition's S5 PFP Trident cartridge. This is a brass segmented bullet that is extremely hard. It will penetrate multiple IIIa Kevlar vests back to back, and often fragment into multiple pieces upon hitting bone, creating multiple wound vectors. This is the cartridge that started the legendary "Wound Vectors" meme and also triggered the ATF raid on Elite Ammunition. This round was 100% legal before and during the raid, and it was de-facto banned after the raid.

Next is Elite Ammunition's first 10mm loading.

This special 10mm round uses a nickel case and a nickel bullet, resulting in this extremely beautiful cartridge. This cartridge saw a brief production run and is no longer made.

i'm a noguns fag who lives in noguns nj and i'm not moving because i would rather have a firearm of dubious legality in the shadow of NYC than live with some autistic survivalist larpers out in the middle of nowhere which, beyond 20 or so miles from a few cities, most of america really is for all intents and purposes.

is this a good investment, should i do something else, or should i just end it all and let tyrone take me like a woman?

what do you guys think?

i would however most likely ask my brother-in-law for some help though but i could also just see if he would want to go halfsies on a GG2
