Why does everyone shit on .40S&W?
Not a fanboy, just curious
>>30744870
Because they have latent homosexual tendencies.
>stopping power of 9mm
>capacity of .45
>more expensive than both
what's not to love?
>>30744870
Lacks the size/expansion of .45 ACP
Lacks the capacity and velocity of 9mm
Has more recoil than both
Known for a short service life/glocknading with 9mm frames
And at the end of the days its just a 10mm case that has been shortened
Is 410 effective enough to stop an intruder?
>>30744799
its possible
>>30744799
It's going to get their attention, that's for sure.
Me personally, I use my single shot .410 topper to dispatch squirrels.
I've got better guns for home defense.
>>30744799
Hit them in their meaty parts and they will stop moving.
So I was operating in NYC this weekend. Has anyone ever seen one of these armored Lenco pickup truck style Bearcats?

I highly doubt that anyone has operated in NYC since George Washington. Maybe Bernie Goetz.

I thought it was some one off custom, but, it looks like they were just announced
Hey /k/, a guy recently posted a bow up for sale on Craigslist. I've wanted to get into archery for a while, but I don't know much about different bows. It seems pretty cheap, but i'd like to know what you guys think about it, he's selling it for $30, and it lacks an arrow rest.
I'd mostly like to do target archery, and maybe hunting further down the line.

go check it out, dry fire it a few times and see how it feels.
Last picture.
anyone a fan of these little guys or can't stand them? I had a shitload of trouble with these in a 590 and ended up selling the rest. Flipping over and not loading correctly.
I'd like to use them if I happened to have a shotgun that would cycle them reliably but I get a lot of mixed info on that. They seem nifty for saving space if you wanted to go rodenting and not haul 100 rounds of full size ammo, or whatever.
>>30744175
Mini-Shells are designed to be used in break-open shotguns, not the repeating type.
>>30744205
Then why would the manufacturer say something silly like this:
MINISHELL MEETS MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE
Our 1 ¾” Minishell nearly doubles the capacity of shotguns. We are the only manufacturer offering the Minishell buckshot for hunting or defense purposes.
So do you think they meant you could double the capacity of a break barrel shotgun? interedasting
apparently the 1300 is best choice, or mods.
>Notes from Aguila on Shotgun Modifications to use Minishells:
First of all, any SAAMI/CIP approved 12ga shotgun may fire Minishells, be it side-by-side, over-and-under or pump action; however, the latter type will not cycle them flawlessly. The out-of-the-box shotgun that we have tested cycling Minishells very well, is the Winchester M1300 18" Defender. Winchesters 1897 seems to like the shorter rounds, however not as much as the Winchester 1300. We still have to test the Winchester 1887.
>MOSSBERGS 500/590s will cycle Minishells pretty well once the shooter acquires a "feeling" as to how to pump the action; however, this will not prevent the occasional jam. To further solve the problem, we have lengthened and widened the little short metal bar (shell elevator), which catches the round to be subsequently fed to the ramp and chamber. This modification will not prevent you from firing regular size shot shells. The other modification that would decisively help in the proper cycling, would be to install the ejector in a more forward position to catch the spent shorter shell and eject it, before it may flip and cause jams. However, we DO NOT recommend you to do this, because you will most likely no longer be able to fire regular size shells.
>Any competent gunsmith should be able to perform the modification to the elevator described above.
>REMINGTONS 870s seem to require a more involved modification, which we have never attempted. We have received calls from clients stating that they have tried our Minishells in their 870s with excellent results, and that they did not understand why we have always mentioned the potential cycling problems. To this, we would like to state once more that Minishells will not cycle flawlessly in regular pump action shotguns, no matter how well some customers are able to cycle them. Again, the Winchester 1300 Defender would seem to be the one cycling Minishells best.

Are the afghans Fremen, and our troops the sardaukar?
>>30743771
Fremen were not ragheads, they were far better at fighting than ragheads.

>ignoring that basically nobody fucking used guns in Dune because of personal shields stopping the round, and lasers vs a shield killed the shooter along with the target

How can i attach a razor blade to one end of this stick to use it as a weapon? im wondering cause im writing a story.
>>30743684
Just grab a solid stick
>>30743684
Yeah.
You can.
Or you can get a bunch of home depot razor blades, get some gorrilla glue, and cut notches in the stick to make a bladed edge on the stick, similar to an aztec maquahuitl

How many of you that own guns own at least 1 nugget?
If you do, what was your caliber progression?
7.62x54r -> .40s&w -> 5.56/.223 -> .22lr
.22lr > .30-40 Krag > .303UK > .357Mag > 8x57mmIS > 8x56mmR > 7.62x25mm > 7.62x54mmR >6.5x52mm > 9x19mm > 7.62x51mm > 5.56x45mm
Pic related is my first nugget; have 3 now.
My biggest regret is not buying a nugger when they were like $100.

Cops and civilians are two different group that should not be mixed in when everything goes to hell in america
Just look at the colony where there was a police like force back then did the patriots mixed in with these people? No they did not and there was no defected red coats that joined the patriots no they all stayed with the british military so there is no way the military today will defect from the main force to join a bunch of ragtag militia people.
>Just look at the colony where there was a police like force back then did the patriots mixed in with these people
What police force? You don't know the first thing you're talking about.
But cops ARE civilian, no matter how many armored vehicles and scary black rifles they buy.
>>30743484
No they are not
They are a police FORCE not civilian force
They go around inforcing government anti constitution laws such as gun control and they bust down people that have one grain of weed while letting go serial killers
They are no different from the one in the U.K. and I can promise you that when the time comes for gun confiscation they will not hesitate just look at Oklahoma and New Orleans for god sake
